UPDATE 9/9/2018 Within 24 hours after posting this review I…read morereceived a threatening phone call from Lynn. She first tried to bribe me with paying for my carpet cleaning if I removed the bad rating. Then in the same breath she threatened me with a lawsuit if I didn't. This is another demonstration of unprofessional behavior. I WILL NOT BE BULLIED by a service provider and capitulate to her threat by removing an honest review. She can hire a lawyer if she wants but when it comes to libel or slander, truth is the ultimate defense. I will keep her message on my message machine for the indefinite future and will be happy to provide it to her attorney, if she actually has one. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ORIGINAL REVIEW: Well, it breaks my heart to write this review, but I'd be remiss if I didn't. I travel a lot, especially a lot of overseas travel. I had used Lynn and Debbie for some time but after a series of rather shocking mishaps, I terminated our relationship. Here are a few of the issues: 1. One of the two was engaged to kitty sit for four days. I came home early only to find the litter box had not been emptied for at least three of the four days, so my cat decided to mess on the carpet because of her box being overfilled. 2. I have a dome litter box, and one of the two decided to leave the lid off while I was gone because it was "too hard to put on" (stuff and nonsense) so when my kitty did use the box, she saturated the surrounding carpet. $200 to have the carpet and pad cleaned afterwards. 3. When one of the two had an unfortunate encounter with the court system and was required to spend some room-and-board time with the local police, I was aghast to find out they have no backup system - if you're overseas, and something happens to them, YOUR PET WILL BE LEFT ALONE FOR THE REMAINDER OF YOUR TRIP. Needless to say, this is phenomenally distressing. I don't have local family here in the Denver area, so I depend on PROFESSIONALS I hire to do their job and make plans for when they can't. 4. They only take cash - no checks, no credit cards - for reasons one can only guess. It's very inconvenient to the customer, but they have their reasons for not wanting anything but cash. (I'm an accountant. We refer to cash-only businesses as paper-trail avoiders). I get that, but when you pay cash in advance, and they take the cash but don't visit the kitty as promised, well, there's a word for that. Not a good word, either. All in all, very distressing, very unprofessional. They may be great with dog walking if you're home, but if you depend on them when you travel, you do so at your own peril.

I have a very loving and energetic, yet anxious 6 year old yellow lab, Joy. My usual dog sitter was…read moreunavailable for my last trip so I was in a bit of a bind. I was referred to use Breezy Pet Care and it couldn't have gone smoother. Joy was able to do a meet and greet ahead of time so she knew who would be coming into the home. During that time, they played together so Joy would have a fond memory. I was away for a full week. Everyday I received an update with a picture of Joy looking tired and happy. They had walks and playtime. My house was clean when I returned and really the whole process was seamless and affordable. This was my first time having someone stay at my house rather than bring Joy elsewhere and I loved that she got to stay home the whole time where she is most comfortable. It's also nice when you're away to know there is someone looking after your home. Plants watered, mail taken in, trash brought out on time. I would definitely recommend using this service and will be a returning customer!

Cat people know the anxiety is real…read more If you've ever left town and immediately wondered, "Are the cats plotting revenge or are they okay?" then you get it. We used Denver Pro Pet Sitting while we were on vacation and it was an absolute lifesaver. They checked in on our cats, made sure everything was taken care of, and sent updates that made it clear our little furballs were living their best lives while we were gone. Reliable, communicative, and clearly people who genuinely care about animals. It's such a relief knowing your pets are in good hands instead of just hoping the automatic feeder doesn't become their new enemy. 10/10 would trust them with our cats again. Pretty sure the cats didn't even miss us.

Nelson and my sitter were absolutely amazing in handling the situation with urgency, care, and communicated with me the best they could given my limited availability. I hope I never have another emergency when I'm gone, but if I do, it's Denver Pro Pet Sitting I want taking care of my pets. Finally, they do their best to assign the same sitter every time. I really love seeing my sitter comment on my dog's health improvements since previous visits and makes me feel like they genuinely care about my pets and their well being.
