It took me 3 working days to get an answer to where my parcel was and after several calls where one said it was delivered when it wasn't I found out that supposedly customs opened it and didn't seal it properly and it came in empty. Well if that were the case why wasn't I informed that it arrived opened instead of the runaround. I can' understand not knowing the first day but the 2nd and 3 day it took to tell me this. I bought books at Amazon Japan. Amazon uses DHL. I had to wait for DHL.I had stayed home since 3 pm.I received some notice from DHL. It said, "Delivered".I couldn't find the package. I checked the proof of delivery. I checked the picture. Apparently, DHL left the package at the wrong room. I put my address correctly. There was my room number at my door. I contacted DHL. Then DHL asked me to call Amazon Japan. Amazon Japan refunded . However, I don't believe DHL anymore. What an unreliable company! read more

All reviews are bad so I thought I'd share my experience. I ordered a package from China last week and it came today. DHL took like 3 days at first to get the ball rolling, but once it started to move from China it was hauling. Came to my door in 4 days after it left China. Better than I couldve hoped for honestly. I live in college station which is like 90 miles from Houston. Other people out here have had a rough time with DHL, but I will use again. Thanks! read more

WORST DELIVERY SERVICE IN THE WORLD. I Have not received a package that is displaying "signed" for. When I call and had this issue investigated No one seems to know where package is. Have been told it's in the office have been told it's in front door. Neither place has seen a package and someone's been home all day. It s been investigated for a week. No one to speak to department will leave you on hold for hours and still no pick up. Customer service is also rude and neglectful, representative made a comment and stated that I was "to sensitive " regarding my package. No one cares that works for the company. No one taking responsibility. A 1 star is a bit more than DHL deserves this is my FIRST & LAST time EVER using DHL. read more

Not required to call when cannot deliver a package? So my package sits at the wrong station for another day. I live over 80 miles, so jumping in my car to pick up from wrong station is not an option. I have a client that really needs that package. If someone would have called yesterday, I would have my delivery today. The Delivery Personel do not put their hearts into their jobs as FedEx or USPS personal do! Was home waiting on a package, not sure how DHL passed by!! as soon as I got a text that delivery attempted, I ran out the house, no truck was in the street seems like the DHL personnel had a race to catch!! First of all I signed up to receive message alerts from DHL on my package delivery. I received a message at 5:12 that at 4:39 a delivery was attempted and recipient not home. Now mind you I was home and did not understand why I got this message. I called customer service and was told because there was a gate code and the driver did not Have The code. Well that's a lot different than saying a attempt was made. And the recipient was not home (because that is not a true statement). When I asked why didn't they call. I was told there wasn't a number and then told the number was wrong...now I've received notification from DHL during the day, and the the notification a attempt was made. but now you don't have the correct number. I took off work to receive the package, now I'm told another attempt will be made tomorrow or I could pick up at a location (mind you I paid for delivery already) now you want me to take time to come to your place of delivery to pick up or to take another day off work. Awful service. Zero stars I sent a package to Brazil. The estimated delivery time was 6 days After 5 days, by my initiative I found that the package was on hold in Brazilian customs for 48 hours. Called DHL in Brazil and was informed that it could not be processed by customs without invoice. I had given the invoice to the DHL employee that collected the parcel. I sent a copy of the invoice by email to DHL after talking to 4 different people in customer service. Next day, I was informed that it still could not be processed in customs because they did not now how much DHL USA has charged me for the transportation. Can you believe this. Nobody takes responsibility. Once in Brazil, DHL subcontracts delivery!!!! So my parcel which goes to Rio Grande is handled by a subcontractor from Porto Alegre onwards. Parcel is already 4 days late and with a subcontractor... I don't know the quality of other express delivery courier systems, but DHL's quality is very poor!!! read more

I would not use this company, if I were you. A parcel coming from the UK sat in customs for almost three weeks - NO notification from DHL as to why. When I started serial calling them trying to find out the status of the shipment, they said they had robo-called me once about the status (that customs needed more information). I never received any such automated call. They did admit that it was only one attempt (in three weeks!) Then, because of the time delay, I needed to change the delivery address. I notified them on the phone, when I gave them the required customs information and sent a follow up email. Not happening. No one knows where it is. SO not worth the effort and time involved! Lady on the phone could have cared less. Said she couldn't help, but have an excellent day. WTF! Read the other posts. read more

just a terrible horrible experience with them. NEVER EVER trust their sales rep. They just try to cheat you on the estimate quote. I had to pay $2,300 extra shipping fee just because the consignment shorted 17.5 kgs. To reach their sales target they intensively do not advice you in advance. 10 am tracking status says package with courier. I wait in my apartment expecting the package by 11 am. 1 pm no package. I checked the tracking status. It says" delivery attempted, recipient not home. Call customer service and they ask if I live in a gated apartment complex. Yes I do. What was so hard for the courier to call me on the contact number on the package to open the gate for him . I mean how do other courier companies get through? The least the courier could do was drop the package at the leading office.This is Friday, what would the courier had done differently on Monday. They still would not have the code and then what?Dhl couriers are just dump or they just don 't want to work. Shipping is good until the package gets into the hands of the stupid couriers.
