TLDR: Unprofessional business, should go out of business, steals items, doesn't answer phone. I ordered an item and Hot Shot called to confirm that they would be delivering the item. Over two months later I have not received my item. I have been told that Hot Shot lost the item and now I cannot get anyone on the phone. read more

Incredibly unprofessional and least adept people I've ever seen in the logistics industry. If your items are scheduled to be delivered with them, go ahead and call the company you ordered from and refuse delivery in advance. Save yourself a lot of headaches. You can call and confirm an appointment window all you want and they will still show up whenever they feel like it. Even if you've explicitly told them "no" for that time frame. Idiots. Then they'll just tell you Shawna will call you back asap. She doesn't. Shawna doesn't bother to call back. read more

I have used Hot Shot Delivery Service for years in various positions and I will never use them again. Yesterday, we needed to get signature papers downtown by a hard deadline that depended on a multi-million dollar deal closing. We ordered a courier online, to be delivered to a law firm downtown within one hour and paid extra to have it in a lawyers hands by a certain time. Two hours after the papers were supposed to be there we got a call from the lawyers saying they did not have them. Hot Shot decided to drop it in the mail room and not tell anyone they could not deliver it as requested. When we called to find out where it was, we were given excuse after excuse about why they did not do what we asked them to do and were extremely rude about it. They said the building wouldn't let them deliver to the lawyer (they should have called us or the lawyer on the order, they did not), they said that we did not specify a person (we did, the lawyer on the order), they said the building has had that delivery policy for years (as if we are supposed to know what some building's delivery policy is, that is their job), they said the order was placed online (why in the world would that matter how the order was placed, are they saying if placed online it will be done wrong), excuse, excuse, excuse for incompetence. I was one of the most unprofessional experiences I have had with a company and if you need something done right, this is NOT your company. read more

I am giving this inept business a 1 because ZERO is not an option. Day 4 of confirmed appointments setting at home waiting again for a large Amazon delivery. This delivery has set in a warehouse a couple of miles away for 8 days. Seriously, how are these folks in business??? Today I called the facility to confirm they would in fact deliver it today. After 10 calls (3 where they picked up and said nothing for over 30 seconds) I finally got a live person who knew nothing and could do virtually nothing. No confirmation, no communication with the delivery person, only that Brian said he would get a message to "them". No confidence I am not wasting another day due to another NO SHOW. read more

We have used Hot Shot courier service for several years, and the experience has gone from bad to worse. We have finally thrown in the towel after repeated billing errors, surprise waiting time charged on invoices that is not disclosed or listed, and the discovery that we get 10 minutes wait time, but if the wait time is over by even 1 minute we get no waiting time allowed. No communications on after hours or weekend jobs, rude, and service with an attitude. read more

Yesterday I was asked by my boss to schedule a courier service for some documents to be sent downtown by 8 am today. Hot Shot came up first in my Google search and since I had heard the name before, I decided to go with it. I called and the person I spoke with said they could pick it up from our office in the Park Ten area by 5:30 pm and it would be delivered by 8 am today. I left it outside our office door to be picked up. I arrived at work today to find it on my desk. I freaked out b/c I did not want to have my boss be upset with me. I called Hot Shot right away and the person I spoke with told me the employee who took the order scheduled it for TODAY instead of YESTERDAY! So I called the powers that be and asked if it could be delivered today after 8am, thankfully they said yes. I called Hot Shot again and spoke to the same person, who is the customer service manager. This person said Hot Shot could pick it up as soon as possible and get it to downtown. Then I asked if we would be getting a refund for their error. This employee said well, no because the trucks are contracted drivers and since it was not their error, they still have to be paid. To which I said, well it was a company error and I believe there should be a refund. I asked to speak with this person's boss and the boss got on the phone. I explained that they are the first courier website that pops up on Google and that they should have good customer service skills in offering a refund for their error. The boss gave me the same excuse and then said they could give us the lower rate for the faster delivery. In the end, we have decided to have one of our employees drive it downtown anyway. I am definitely disappointed in Hot Shot and their many excuses. I will not be using them again. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This company was enlisted by Amazon to deliver a large flat screen television that I purchased on the Amazon website. However, I finally just had to cancel the order through Amazon after multiple failed attempts at receiving the delivery. The first delivery, the driver never showed and wrote in his log that no one was home, despite the fact that both my concierge was at the desk of my apartment building and I was home. They then agreed to try to deliver it a few days later, and I got a notification while waiting for it, that the delivery had been rescheduled for 2 days later, one day after the installation was supposed to take place. Was very difficult to get anybody on the phone and multiple people "took my information" and passed it along but I received no phone calls. Finally got through to someone at customer service with the help of the Amazon rep, who then promised me my TV would be delivered the next morning. Again, no TV and no phone call and no follow up. If you were expecting this company to deliver a large item to your house or apartment, I would just plan on canceling the purchase and save yourself some trouble. read more

I created a Yelp account just to write this review. This is the least professional delivery service I've ever had to deal with. I had heard nothing from my order in weeks before filing a complaint with the seller company, who told Hot Shot to reach out to me, which the finally did. We set up a delivery appointment A WEEK AND A HALF after the call, which then proceeded to come and go without me hearing anything from them. I tried calling them and no one picked up. It's just a ridiculous nightmare, and I'm going to have to cancel this order that I've waited a month for and buy it from Amazon instead of the small business I had hoped to purchase it from. read more

Hot Shot has always had the reputation as Houston area go to courier service. They've grown since the 70's as others have come and gone. Under the leadership of Darryl and Eric Donaldson Hotshot has emerged as one of the top couriers in Texas and surrounding area. Special props also to the dispatch office crew of Allison,Virginia,Natalie and Jason. Finally to the drivers;fast, dependable and courteous! You'll won't regret using Hot Shot for your delivery needs! read more

I've used Hot Shot for over thirty years. Always on time, courteous, and professional. They are very competitive in rates and if you need something delivered fast, they will get it done! read more

My business has used Hot Shot several times and usually it goes fine. My complaint is about their drivers, and how totally unacceptable they are. I was driving with my newborn in the car, and their car zoomed through a stop sign without even slowing down, I had to slam on my breaks not to get hit. Then at the following light I honked, and the driver put his car in park, got out and approached my vehicle threateningly. I told him what he had down, he gave me the middle finger (wearing his Hot Shot delivery shirt) and walked away. Could NOT believe someone working for a courier service would act that way. I called to file a complaint and the woman on the phone seemed to just brush me off. I will never use their service again and hope they get rid of this driver. read more

As a marketing company we depend on our suppliers. We had an urgent order to travel from Houston to Rockport. We called Hot Shot, booked the service, they ran our card, and scheduled our pickup with a date and time. The morning of the pickup they called to let us know that they weren't exactly sure when they could pick up. Within a couple of hours they called back and said they couldn't do the delivery at all! When we complained, the pushback was unbelievable--we were told when we ordered the service that the woman taking the order was merely 'an order taker' and the company really doesn't know if they can fulfill the order until it goes to dispatch the day of the proposed service. We were lucky in that we found another company to do the delivery - but don't depend on these guys. What a terrible way to run a business. read more

I'd give this company 0 stars if I could. Personally, I would NEVER even consider using this company. I was given a delivery window of 10-2pm only to never receive a call or be informed that my shipment would actually deliver between 2-6pm. Once the shipment arrived it was refused as the driver stated the wrong pieces were shipped, which turned out to be untrue. Upon re-scheduling and confirming the appointment two days prior, Hot Shot still didn't make their delivery appointment. I called only to be told they "accidentally" forgot to load the shipment on the truck in the morning. Totally Unacceptable!!! I'll never use or recommend this company. read more

I will be moving back to Dallas next year. Becky in Houston helped me with driving questions. She so nice and told me what I needed before I apply to drive. read more

This has been terrible. I spoke to various people while trying to schedule a delivery. The time they said they would pick up came and went. I called and followed up to be told that the time given was when the order was to be "ready" not the time they were picking it up. Ok. Then when the driver arrived he complained about the size of the order stating that it would take multiple trips and that Hot Shot would not approve it. I called back to speak to the manager. She was passively rude and took every opportunity to point fingers. Needless to say, the delivery was not made and an alternative delivery company was used. There are far too many delivery options in Houston to have to put up with this type of behavior. Save your sanity, look for another. read more

I am a regular user of hot shot and definitely recommend them. They are great for work- they are prompt and efficient, but also just as importantly, they are courteous, so i can send them to my clients without having to worry about a bad impression. Also they provide extra services like notaries that come in infinitely handy. I have also found them to be a friendlier service to use than some of the other competitors, and they have a fast turnaround time without charging an arm and a leg for rush service. They also stepped up to the plate and did a great job when i needed to use them fora personal matter. They are my go to courier! read more

I had to write a review for Hot Shot. They did such a great job! Sunday late afternoon, I live in Austin. My boss emails me to get an iPad to his friend at MD Anderson. They were so nice! Rudy called me back almost immediately, and was in constant communication even calling me from the Apple Store when he realized they had made a mistake. He called me from MD Anderson and then texted me once he left to left the room. first rate service! Highly recommend! ESP Rudy!!!! read more

I paid $173.00+ for a $66.00 delivery. Problem delivering first attempt. No problem there. But when they picked up the package for a second attempt it went down hill quick. Guy shows up to pick up the package. He knows my address and suite number but he fails to go up and get the package. I get charged. The I get charged for him to come back and make a second attempt and then I get charged a second time. When I complained their attitude was stuff it. I have been using them for many years but never again! read more
