I came here two nights in a row, not only because I stayed in Whitechapel throughout my stay in London, but the fact that shops & restaurants in the east district closed a tad bit too early (try 7pm) for my taste. Oh God. I certainly am not an early sleeper, and I do like to eat at night, too! This place, in fact closes at 11pm. Thank goodness for these people and their yummy naan bread and curries. This kept me from starving two nights in a row.
Tried their Chicken Tikka Masala and their King Prawn Curry. The Tikka is certainly spicy but really buttery and creamy. The Curry they have there is not really what I expected, though it was really flavorful and spicy. Just how I like it. Their naan was fresh, and their mango lassi is tangy, creamy, and smooth.
This place is inexpensive and is a great late night snack if you're starving and will not settle for cereal & milk from the nearby Tesco! In addition, the workers are friendly and though your food takes a while to prepare, it is worth it. read more
