Out of 2 other places I had received quotes from, they had the most reasonable price with a door design that I wanted! It was something outside of what they normally do, but they were able to make it work for us!! It took about 4 months to get our custom door in and a whole day to install since it was a huge project! It may have been their biggest custom project? Haha! But, all in all, they did an AMAZING job ,and we absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our new doors!! They made our flex room into an office!! Overall they could do better, I believe. I can adjust doors, but no time and not fast enough. My wife called them and they come out next day, Very fast. But for 42 inch oversize-custom-door, we needed a experienced company or a person and did not mind paying more to fix it right. Issue we had, bottom corner door frame pushed out and door started rubbing floor from few months ago and daylight started showing thru. We are not 100% satisfied with fix. They adjust door perfect to the bottom corner pulled out frame. My wife asked is this the best fix they can do- one side of threshold is lowered than hinged side and inside door trim does not flush with wall tight, and there is a hole on the threshold and shows subfloor. The reason Billy and technician gave to my wife, frame is warping and wall is settling and that's the best they can do. Very disappointed about the Billy after the conversation. He asked... Do you want frame is straight, but door open/close poorly or frame and trim is bit off, but door fits and closes tight? Guess why my wife called service instead of me fixing it. We had appointment for resetting frame for 2 of our doors. Both technicians Emidio and Sean were right on time. Upon arrival, it was quickly determined that one of door does not require adjustment and invoice was adjusted accordingly. They delivered very good service and completed the work. Since they were already on site, I requested them to replace weather stripping on one additional door which they did it promptly. Work was done very well. My only problem with overall job was exorbitant cost to replace weatherstrip for the door. Had I known it or I was made aware of it, I would have either done it myself or would have called handyman.I hope they fix their pricing more in tune with market. My job was originally scheduled to be done on a Friday. Dan sent me a message Monday and let me know there was a cancellation and asked me if Tuesday I would be available, as a result my appointment was moved up. Tuesday I was sent a message telling me my technician Jr was on his way. Jr and Payton, showed up promptly and go started. They both were very professional, courteous and friendly. I texted the number that had been communicating with me and never received a response. If they didn't want the job, they could have just said so up front and I would have moved on to the next company. Tried to a get a in person assessment with my door issue and booked almost 2 weeks out with a time slot for him to come out. Got a call about a day before appt time saying billy cannot come out and just send pictures. Wanted him to come in-person to check to make sure. They replied and said he will be there. Next day before appt excuses were made that he did not need to and its not worth it money wise. And Billy said scheduling online is just for a online estimate, not for him to check it on site, even though there is a time slot window for the technician to come out...and the company confirmed its suppose to be a site visit which makes sense. So in summary, if time is important to you and you took a day off from work for the onsite visit or repair, dont bother and go with another company as they can freely change up when they want to come, if they are going to at all. The tech (Brian) was early to the call which was not a problem for me, finished the job quickly, fixed another issue with the door lock and cleaned everything up before he left. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. DISHONEST AS HELL! Been dealing with DFW Door Repair since June 2020. Job still is not complete! Took 3 months to order and install my double patio door with opening sidelites. They finally came out in Sept to install the door and to my surprise no screens for the sidelites. The invoice clearly states with screens. Billy tried to lie his way out by saying we had discussed the screens which we had not. What the hell good are sidelites if you don't have screens! I'm still trying to get my screens and a threshold extender installed (it's now Nov). I keep getting excuses from being out of town to checking with his supplier. Then I get a deadlines date which comes and goes and my emails are being ignored. This guy has no intention of getting my screens. Which I knew who his supplier is. I could kick my self for paying him the majority of what was left to pay. I put half down as a deposit and should have held the second half until job complete. I only withheld $250 which isn't a instinctive to finish anything. This is a horrible way to run a company. I can't believe how many good reviews they have on this website. They came on time, the work was good for the most part. He spent a lot of time, so wasn't a quick job that would make me believe I was ripped off. Both doors I needed fixed were fixed. The issue was that the caulk he used was supposed to dry clear, at least that's what he told us. We have dark brown door and frame/trim like most every one else. It dried WHITE, a bright WHITE that doesn't match anything. When we called, we were told to give it a few days. We did, actually a week. Called back again and were told we'd have to figure that out and fix it ourselves. Why in the world would you use a caulk that doesn't match (or at least use clear like you said) if you're a professional? Why would you lie to your clients so to get the job, and then not make things right when it goes bad? read more

We had an 8' glass door leading to our backyard, and we wanted a dog door for our 110lb dog built into it. Billy and his team made a new door (nearly identical to the current one) with a dog door built into the bottom portion. They switched the door out, allowing us to keep our original door in case we ever need or want to switch back. If we ever move, we can literally take this new door with us. We were able to keep 3/4 of the new door as 'glass', which was important to us for natural lighting, etc.. The install was quick and clean and very professional. The guys couldn't be any friendlier. DFW Door Repair has stained and installed a custom front door with custom glass for us. It looks amazing and we are very happy with it! They installed the hardware on it that we had purchased from Home Depot, caulked the new frame which included a new threshold, and replaced and caulked around my doorbell. They successfully installed a bathroom door which I bought at Lowes which I had a problem getting to fit. They cut a custom cat door I had purchased for a closet door and installed the cat door to perfection. They easily fixed two doors which would slowly swing halfway closed when opened. Billy provided an accurate quote up front and explained what needed to be paid now and later, therefore, there were no surprises. Well I can tell you this is exactly the way a small business should operate. They are expert in what they do and they do not do anything else. The customer management software they use blew me away and all small contractors should call Billy and ask him where he got this software. It kept up with everything from the bid to the invoicing including notifying me when they were on their way, what time they would arrive who it would be and the whole job. This made the process much better than the other contractors I was dealing with. There work was perfection. I had four quotes and they did quote me more than one other quote but unlike the usual me, I did not go cheapest bid. I wanted them as I felt they were worth more than the finish contractor who said he would charge less. I was correct. I know I got a much better job. Beware of this door company. I got replacement French doors because my old doors were leaking. I called DFW Door Repair and Billy responded quickly. He came to my house and gave me an estimate. They installed the doors and it looks really nice. However, it rained two days later an my doors still leak. I called Billy and he did respond quickly. He acted very concerned, but always had to cancel or had an excuse when it was time to show up to fix my doors. After 4 months, and $2100 later, I never heard back from him. I finally sent him a text and told him how disappointed I was. He did try to make things right, but I told him no thank you, as I was not going to listen to anymore excuses from him. I had a busted threshold and some rot and needed repair. I contacted DFW Door repair and was asked to send some photos of the door. Billy Cline responded stating they would recommend a new door as there was just too much damage and they wouldn't be comfortable patching a bigger problem. The price quoted for a new door was very competitive, but just a month prior my 5 year old daughter was diagnosed with cancer and with the new year came new deductibles and I just couldn't do it. I informed DFW Door Repair of this and they agreed to fix my threshold only to save me some money until things got better. Upon arrival they let me know they were replacing my entire door and frame for the quoted fix price and that I need to focus on getting my kid healthy and not home repairs. I was blown away from their generosity. I waited six months to type out any reviews, because I wanted to be honest about their work and not review on emotions.
