Folks I usually don't do this but this place for me is the most overacted establishment I have encountered since I have lived here. Omg good old boy heaven. The owner is a local boy from what I hear that works offshore. Well don't give up that job now. We walked in waited for a while to be served and lord behold the food was not what I would consider to be, how do I put this gently, "edible ". My boyfriend and I visit this place at least twice a month. Even when its packed the wait isnt too terribly long. The service is always stellar! The atmosphere is laid back w cool decor on the walls and plenty of tvs to watch ur favorite game. The first time I ate there I have to admit, I was not impressed. Being a New Orleans girl I know good seafood. I ordered a soft shell crab plate and the crabs were incredibly small, over fried and very salty. However, they have redeemed themselves with the special they have that includes crab legs, crawfish, royal red shrimp and all the fixins! DELICIOUS!!! They could go toe to toe in a Cajun crawfish cookoff and hold their own for sure!! Crab legs are just right, rich and melts in your mouth. The shrimp are scrumptious, tender, boiled perfectly and melts like butter on ur tongue! The best boiled seafood I've had in the 8yrs I've been on the Coast. On a current trip to Biloxi, we really enjoyed our lunch at Dewy Dew Bugz. We ordered the Sunday boil special, which included a generous portion of crawfish, shrimp, and crab. Family also ordered an additional 3 lbs of crawfish and some tails. We shared everything between 4 people (two adults and two teens). Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The service was friendly. It was great to see so many locals dining in a relatively tourist area. Oh, and the kids loved the free self-serve ice cream. It was the perfect lunch for our family, and we will likely be back before we leave town in a few days. We couldn't believe the low prices for the boiled crawfish ($4.49/lb) and cheap beer. Excellent Food, Service and atmosphere! Ordered the ribeye with shrimp special. Large tender steak with a ton of shrimp fries and Cole slaw. Couldn't eat all the shrimp and left thoroughly stuffed! Wait staff was attentive, prompt and efficient. Cole slaw was excellent, not traditional and has a little bit of a kick but it was perfect with the steak and seafood!! Others in our party ordered the Maverick Platter which was huge and overflowing with crab and shrimp! My wife got the Snow Crab and the legs were huge, not the skinny Red Lobster type. First time eating at Dewy Dew Bugz. The restaurant was't too busy, but had to wait 20-25 minutes for a party of 6. Once seated the service was extremely slow. It was a Saturday around 2 and I guess not enough servers. The platters were great and the crawfish probably the best I've ever had. We weren't too keen on the breaded shrimp or the catfish. The atmosphere was very nice. One big minus is the beer selection. I'm sure without a doubt, if there were beers on tap more people would enjoy the suds and the business would thrive on the extra sales. Probably would go back just for the crawfish and minus all of the non-crawfish eaters in my family. I'd give the place a 10/10 crawfish. 6/10 other eats and a 6/10 service. read more
