Claw Daddy's has been our go-to for crawfish for as far back as I can remember. They've been in business here on the MS Gulf Coast for many years and have consistently delivered some of the best crawfish you can find. I remember back in the day when prices were pound were less than two bucks but now they are usually $4-5 depending on what part of crawfish season they are in and how big they are. They also offer other stuff like shrimp but I've only ever gotten the crawfish and some sides. They also offer platters that include 3 pounds of crawfish and sides. The spicy crawfish here do have a kick at first, but they aren't unbearable. That first one will get your lips burning so be warned if you're a lightweight. Their regular flavor has a slight kick but is very flavorful. I am not sure what all they use for seasoning but it is a complex blend with an array of different spices that are very good. I recommend you try their sides like potatoes and corn cooked in the same boil with the crawfish so the flavor gets infused into them. Definitely get a side of their butter to pour over the potatoes and you're in for a treat. We ordered 10 pounds worth in late March and the sides were what I'd considered medium with a handful that I'd consider large. This meant you will put some extra work in eating them but they were still good. On average, you can expect 3-4 ounces of meat per pound so take that into consideration when purchasing. While they do have a few outside tables, this isn't exactly a restaurant and there are no indoor tables. Most people get their orders to go here, and they do often sell out so don't go too late in the day or you may not get any on busy days. read more

Fantastic experience! The staff are incredibly friendly at this place. They helped us make a decision and everything panned out nicely. Claw daddy's sits just off 49 and the have large sized picnic tables so you can sit and enjoy your crawfish or you can easily take them to go. We opted for five pounds of crawfish with potatoes,eggs, and mushrooms for sides. They gave us the hot seasoning and everything was so tasty. They also have alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages for sale as well as seasonings and t-shirts. We also loved the artwork they have on their walls. We purchased two 38-lb sacks of crawfish, and when we started going through them we had to remove roughly a 5-gallon bucket of dead crawfish from one of the sacks. That's a significant amount of loss when you're paying for full sacks, and as a customer there's really no practical way to verify the condition of the crawfish at the time of purchase. When I contacted the business, their response was to bring the dead crawfish back so they could evaluate them. Unfortunately that wasn't a realistic solution since we had a group of people at my house at that moment waiting to eat. Leaving the party to load up a bucket of dead crawfish and drive back to the store just wasn't practical. I'm not sure what the right solution would have been, but the response didn't feel very helpful given the situation. It was a frustrating experience, especially since we ended up short on crawfish for everyone because of how many were dead. read more

I love this place! I maybe a little biased. I have been going here for years. They have and well known for their crawfish. I mainly have getting my fresh boiled crawfish from here. They are very flavorful and boiled just right in my opinion. I actually held off for this review because I wanted to get a full review on the fresh fried turkey. This is mainly a take out restaurant. Well worth it if you are in the area. They have been doing fried turkey during the holidays. It is not a recent thing, but have been doing this for a while now. I just finally bit the bullet and decided to give it a try this year. Many restaurants use to do this technique. Many have stopped doing this because of the dangers involved in frying turkey. Today, only a handful of restaurants do this. I am glad to know that they offer this service. They offer fresh seasoned and fried turkey for sale or they can season and fry your turkey you bring in. They fry up to a certain size. Any bigger, they will accommodate you for extra fee. Please reach for availability and prices. Our turkey we had them fry for us turned out great! It was full of flavor and very delicious! Especially the reason we had it fried. It retained the moisture and the skin was extra crispy. I nibbled on it the way home. The smell of fresh fried turkey filled my SUV up on the drive home. Remember to be cautious when heating up by the oven. It may dry out quickly. But on the other hand, it does keep the skin crispy tho. If you do this, it makes a big difference if it is eaten warm or add gravy the next day. In my opinion. It is near the Gulfport area near the International Airport off Highway 49. They have a pretty good parking lot. It can be a challenge if they are crowded at times. Do not be discouraged; the traffic quickly goes by. Parking is close in front of the restaurant. As you walk in, the wonderful smells of fresh food and spices fill the air. Just the smell makes you crave fresh boiled seafood! No wifi I can see. If it is, maybe password protected. No military discount available at this time. This is a very spot. I will definitely be back for my fresh boiled crawfish, shrimp, and crab needs. read more

Local favorite! Claw Daddy's has been around for many years. It is always a staple restaurant when I'm visiting. Upon arrival, it wasn't busy, so we were able to order right away. We ordered about 6-7 pounds of crawfish and 1 pound of it were hot and the rest were mild. The crawfish had a great flavor and the hot had a kick to them. They also were a decent size for crawfish. The corn, potatoes, eggs were also delicious. They had the perfect blend of butter and seasoning. The prices were reasonable as well. Claw Daddy's is always good and never disappoints. This place has some of the best crawfish around! Usually there's a line that goes out the door so come early or call your order in. We usually order about 20 to 40 lbs of crawfish when we order. Sides are offer as an additional add on like most places but, we usually buy all of our sides from Walmart and cook it ourselves because it's so much cheaper that way. I can't remember if there is an option to request nonspciy, mild or spicy. But, I believe they do offer those options.
