I never thought I would fall in love with a pizza place in such a small town. Pizza comes from places like Ray's in NYC or UNOs in Chicago. Dewey Pizza beats them all with their crust. The crust is perfectly crisp. Never soggy. You can mix and match pizzas, but we never do. We always order the meatball pizza. We like the zing to sauce and perfectly melted cheese. The deserts are pretty good too; however, the portions seem much smaller than when they first opened. They have some pretty good cheese cakes and carrot cake. read more

I've had multiple pizzas and calzones here. Occasionally I've come for lunch and dinner in one day! Good food with decent prices. Offer a nice selection of toppings. Glass window into kitchen is a nice touch. My favorite menu item was the calzone which was very good. 4 stars becauseI felt the pizza and pizza crust was lacking greatness. Best pizza in the area. Can't really say much more than that. Seriously, my only complaint is that they open way too late on Sunday's. Like absurdly late. Since that's typically my cheat day I don't get to order it nearly as often as I'd like. I guess if that's my only complaint they're doing something right. This isn't as much of a review of Dewey's as a whole but rather this specific location in O'Fallon IL. I'm not sure why but the last few times we've ordered from them the portions have been getting smaller. Less salad, less dessert, and pretty sure even less toppings. I'm not sure if it's under new ownership, management or whatever but this is not a one off situation. This has happened the last several times we've gotten food there. Dewey's offers a bullet proof recipe so I can't criticize the food taste and the service is decent but when you pay 50-80 bucks for dinner and you're used to Dewey's typically fair portions and they take that away... it's not worth the money anymore. To be honest we're not going to be going back to this Dewey's location anymore. read more

I love it here! They got a decent beer selection and I think only offering pizza and salads allows them to focus and offer the best choices. Not that I don't love Peel, if you wants a wider beer selection and appetizers then go there. If not, come to Dewey's. I think the pizza is better and I love that they do half and half pizzas! It doesn't get much better than Dewey's. My mom and I dined in on what happened to be their very first day open in OFallon. We figured it would be a rough start because it's their first day open, but you wouldn't have known they hadn't been open for years. Im a huge fan of Dewey's. Great sauce, crust, salads, beer, etc.Today I got one more reason to love Dewey's. They know something about customer service. I ordered a large pizza to go and sat down at the bar for a beer while I waited. When they went to put the beer on my bill they saw my pizza order had not been put in. I really didn't care but in a minute the manager said the pizza and beer where on them. A 2 minute delay equaled a free meal. Love this place. read more

Went here for lunch with some coworkers and we shared a pepperoni pizza. It was pretty good. They have many specialty pizza options as well like the porky fig which has a fig jam base, mozzarella l, fontina, prosciutto, caramelized red onions and Gorgonzola. I wasn't feeling THAT adventurous lol. Everything was very fresh, the only reason I'm giving four stars is because I wish they had a lunch buffet. I'm really glad to have this local venue that has some really good pizzas. The service, once we got to the table was prompt and the food was fresh, hot and tasty. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because there was no appropriate place to wait out of the cold. They need a double entrance at the front so the Wind does not come in every time someone opens the door. We were freezing! Also, their text notification needs tweaking. This is the place to go for brick oven pizza. While Peel is great competition something about the way they make their crust sets them apart. The staff is very attentive and the Dr. Dre pizza is one of my favorites. Anything with the white sauce is also a winner. read more

I gave Dewey's in OFallon three stars because while we really enjoy their salads and pizza, their servers are WAY too grabby. Anytime we've eaten there they always take my salad plate while I'm still eating my salad!! Nothing irritates me more than this. I order and pay for a salad and they just walk by and before I can say anything they've taken my salad away and are gone...I eat part of my salad before pizza comes and then I enjoy the rest while enjoying my pizza. They've done this every single time we've eaten here! Last time I had just taken a bite of pizza and a girl, not even our server, walks by and grabs my salad plate which was sitting next to my dinner plate and says "let me get this out of your way" as she's walking away with my salad! She didn't hear me telling her I wasn't done because she just took off. read more

I came to Dewey's with my family of 4 on a Friday night at 6pm. I was told the wait would be 30-35 minutes. An hour later we still had not been seated. My kids were both crying, and my wife was stressed out from my kids crying. The place must have some good food because the people kept coming in by the bunches. Waitresses, waiters, hostesses, running around like chicken with their heads chopped off. I checked in at the 45 minute mark and was told only 5 more minutes. Logistically, this place is a nightmare. They can't handle large crowds. I'd venture to guess the fire department would have wrote them up for exceeding maximum capacity. People everywhere and know room for waiters to deliver food to tables. I'd stay away on a Friday night. Far, far away! read more
