Carne asada with rice and corn side! Best corn dish I've had in a while!

Y'all...COME HERE! I am a connoisseur of Mexican food and I've had some of the best Mexican food! This place is in a category of its own! Delicious, delicious food! Great customer service! Y'all I just had the best carne asada! It was delicious! Listen, you will want to come here now before the secret gets out! Scott was an excellent bartender and host! When we come back, this will be the first spot!

I wish I could leave 0 stars. The service was horrendous. From start to finish, from checking in to trying to get out, it was *literally* the worst experience all around. Took 45 minutes for our cold tacos to come out- why does a small taco platter take 45 minutes with only one other table in the restaurant? One taco platter was way too spicy (not mentioned on the menu) and someone at the table only had one bite and asked if she could give it back, and apologized. The server said "just because you don't like it doesn't mean I'm taking it off the bill" and swiped the food away. She was rude the entire time, she was very disinterested in working at all, as she was on her cell phone not paying attention to anything we needed the whole time. Then another person at the table had a hard chunk of plastic in her entree. The water jugs had floating bits of residue in them. It ended with another patron asking for the manager, who also seemed to have no interest in making anything right. He did comp the two meals mentioned above, but wow, he literally didn't care at all about anything. Sad place, sad workers- I hope they can turn it around.

I RARELY write bad reviews, but unfortunately, this place was only ok. As someone who doesn't eat meat, i was very happy to find that there were multiple vegetarian options on the menu, one of them being the cauliflower tacos. However, the cauliflower tacos had less than one total piece of cauliflower in the taco. This simply was unacceptable, as the cauliflower acts as the "protein" for the taco, but was barely even present, and was not nearly enough to sustain me. I had to finish my friends' rice and beans and chips and salsa even to be somewhat "full". Overall, good drinks and atmosphere, but portions are severely lacking. For $14, i should be receiving more than 3 pieces of cauliflower on a corn tortillas.

Went to SIRVEZA for the first time tonight and loved it! The margaritas were delish. Our server was friendly and attentive. The chicken nachos were the favorite of the table and were so big we all got to eat a ton. Everyone else at the table had tacos and loved them. This is a great addition to Dewey- fun and casual!

We were dying for some authentic Mexican food and we found it at Sirveza! Delicious prickly pear pork tacos and carne asada salad bowl really hit the spot! Love the cute aesthetic vibe of this place! Service was fast and courteous. Definitely want to stop next time we're in Dewey

Restaurant look is so cute and stylist

Great food and service. Unique plating impressed us even though it was traditional Nachos. Recommended to everyone.

I'll start with writing something nice. In the business world we call this a compliment sandwich…read morebut since this is a Mexican restaurant, it'll be a "compliment quesadilla". The margarita flight was good. Just the right amount of alcohol and good selection of flavors, though the presentation, hallmarked with half-melted ice cubes on the tiny serving tray, inspired little admiration for its preparation. Normally I don't care that much about appearances but the atmosphere of this place felt like it was stepping back into the 1980s - my grandparents basement to be exact - complete with shiplap walls, little to no Mexican themes (grandparents were of slavic descent) and limited light. It was slightly less clean and I can concur from one of the other reviews that the food stuck to the menus popped out in surprise, distracting me from the itemized list of Mexican and ocean-inspired cuisine. There was music, but I'm pretty sure I heard Cher, so it wasn't exactly the kind of music you'd expect to hear in a Mexican restaurant. The service was just... weird. I wasn't sure if I was welcome there or an inconvenience. Every time it was time to order it felt like we were being given a verbal pop quiz by an impatient gym teacher. Then the food came out and it was lackluster experience to say the least. I got a burrito that might have been 1/8 meat and the rest filler. It would have made any muscle head beach-type body builder order another 6 to get the necessary proteins. Also at the table, we had enchiladas sans an adequate amount of enchiladas sauce, so embarrassingly light, it was like a burrito pretending it had another name. The strangest phenomenon was the inclusion of potatoes in the beef tacos. We weren't sure if it was a mistake or meant to make them look fuller due to the anti-protein vibes that seem to conflict the chefs that work here. We heard there was dessert, cheesecake, from the waiter, though we weren't sure he wanted us to stay any longer. Our party quickly paid and gathered our things to leave. I suppose there needs to be another compliment here to make this a complete "compliment quesadilla"? The good news is that we had enough room for more food on the nearby boardwalk, which was fun and inviting especially after this unfortunate dining experience. 2 stars because the drinks were good, but I hear there are other Mexican places nearby that can do that well too, and much more.

The food came out late, and my Dad's soup didn't come. The waitress said what did you order? He told her again, she left, and never came back. They didn't have enough staff for the amount of people eating. We all eat, my Dad has no food. I couldn't order another drink, my son had no ketchup. The waitress came over after my Mom flagged her down, and we said where is the soup? She said oh they said it didn't taste good in the kitchen. Sorry it's bad. So my dad said just take it off the bill I ate enough chips. I had to go track the wait staff down for us to get ketchup for my sons kids meal and the bill. Then of course the soup was on the bill..... terrible service and wait times. To make things worse, I went to the bar to order my second drink, the bar tender charged me for two drinks. He was then rude when I said, I only ordered one drink. Tried to give me cash, the wrong amount back, I said, no my drink was $6, it says that on the menu. My family still hadn't gotten their check paid, so more waiting. The food was mediocre for Mexican. The salsa was the best part but can't give it more than 1.5 or 2 stars. Get it together on a busy weekend. Everyone at the bar was also complaining about how slow they were.

Upscale Flavor in Downtown Lewes, but Something Was Missing…read more While on a business trip to Lewes, Delaware, I was in the mood for Mexican and Agave came highly recommended, so I decided to give it a try. What I really enjoyed right away was the location. This isn't along the main roadway or highway area that most people associate with Lewes, the more business-heavy stretch with fast food and chain spots. This is tucked into the charming downtown area near the canal, surrounded by neat little houses and a truly quaint, cool atmosphere. It's a great setting for an evening out. Agave is definitely more of an upscale Mexican restaurant, and the interior reflects that. Stylish, clean, and thoughtfully designed. I took a few photos because the ambiance adds to the experience. One thing that surprised me was that they don't bring out complimentary chips and salsa. At most Mexican restaurants, that's just part of the experience. Not a deal breaker, but it does set an expectation when you sit down. I started with the empanadas. They looked different from what I'm used to, but they were very tasty and full of flavor. They came topped with a fresh chopped tomato mixture, almost like a light salsa, along with a lime. After squeezing the lime over the top, the flavors really popped. Unique presentation and very flavorful. For my entrée, I ordered the veggie burrito. I asked the waitress if it came with chips on the side, and she said no, which was a little disappointing, especially considering the price point and upscale feel. When the burrito arrived, the presentation wasn't great, as you can see in the photo, but once again, the flavor delivered. Overall, I'm a bit mixed on Agave. The portion sizes were average, nothing extraordinary, but the food itself was definitely flavorful. For me, the lack of chips and salsa and the absence of a side with the burrito made it feel like something was missing, particularly at this price level. If I could offer one suggestion, adding chips and salsa or even a small side with the burrito would elevate the experience and better match the upscale positioning. Flavor-wise, they're doing a lot right. For now, though, I probably wouldn't return on my next trip.
