Martin has been excellent! I love that even after the initial service, if you notice something, they'll come back free of charge. During the first service, we still had a bunch of things in our garage from moving so we had them skip it. I called back the next week and they were able to come back (again, with no extra charge). He was also very informative about the winter service (which was also included, free of charge) and got that set up for us. He's also very courteous to let us know how long to wait before letting our dog out since he could hear her barking. They use natural pesticides and that's a huge plus for me. read more

Oof. Completely unreliable and untrustworthy. I made an appointment for service. They gave me a four-hour window and said I'd get a notification 20 minutes ahead of them showing up. They never came. I rescheduled for another four-hour window on another day. They never showed up. I called up to ask what gives and I got no apology, no notice of when the guy would be coming out. No nothing. A Dewey Pest Control representative came to my door offering pest control services where they spray one time every three months, but will come out and spray in between if needed. I signed up but let the man know that I have animals and don't want them exposed to the spray so I would need to know when they would be coming. The person who came out to spray once every three months didn't tell me when he would be coming out. Since I have three dogs that go in and out of a doggy door to use the bathroom, I called and asked that he call and let me know when he was coming. Several times he came out, and I was not notified, so again, I called and asked that I be notified when he would be coming. He came out and left a note on the door stating he had sprayed, said he had rang the doorbell, and yet, both I and my daughter-in-law were home at the time with our three dogs. We did not hear the door bell, nor did our dogs bark. It is not possible that someone could have rung the doorbell and neither one of us, or the three dogs, heard it. I also don't think it is possible that someone could have sprayed the back yard without our three dogs barking. Finally, the service person called to say he was coming on a certain day, but didn't give me a time frame. At 11:00 am, he still had not shown up and I had to go to an appointment, which, by the way, had been scheduled before his call. He came, slid the screen door over the doggy door, sprayed the yard, and left with the screen door still closed. When I got home, there was dog poop in my home and the screen door blocking my dogs' ability to go outside. I canceled my service five days into the 90 day service period. Since I was only five days into the next three months, I asked that my bill reflect only the first five days of the three month service. They sent me my bill showing they charged me for the full 90 days. I called the company and talked with the manager, explaining that I had been charged for the full 90 days when I had only had five days into the 90 days of their service. I explained to the manager that I canceled service five days into the 90 days and therefore I should not be charged for the full 90 days. The manager told me that since I was the one who canceled the service, they were still going to charge me for the full 90 days. Also, I was told by both the manager and the secretary that they were not working there at the time these events occurred. Beware! These people do not care about their customers! read more

We have had Dewey as our pest control company since August 2004. We have been happy with the service over the years. The pricing has remained reasonable over that period of time, and the service remains consistent. Our favorite technician (of all) has been Moses. He arrives promptly, completes the job thoroughly, is always friendly and helpful. Moses would get Dewey a five-star rating by himself. The one-star deduction is due to dealing with the corporate office. In the past information does not flow, very well, from headquarters to the regional offices and vice versa. Overall, we are going to remain customers' of Dewey for the foreseeable future. read more

I was approached by a salesmen in my neighborhood as I was getting in my car to leave. He phrased his pitch like they were going around spraying the neighborhood but then he started asking me questions about different bugs I'd seen etc. Mind you I'm half in my car trying to leave. He asked who I used and what I paid and I let him know we were happy with our service. He asked if my husband was home (???) and if he could come by at like, 8:30pm to give a sales pitch. I'm like fella that's too late and I'm not interested lol. Note to Dewy: please don't have your salespeople approach women in their cars at freaking night trying to sell pest services. Oh! And to add to the story I asked him for a card and he didn't even have one. What kind of professional service sends door to door salesman out with no cards?? Dewy is a wonderful company withe great employees. I unfortunately have to cancel do to covid financially catching up to me. But every step of our arrangement has been beautiful. The young man who initially came to my door was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The people in the office always help me when I have questions. Dennis, the manager is awesome. The sprayer who comes out to our house (nate or nick, I can't remember) always calls before he shows up. Had a horrible experience with them over a matter of days. Never had a problem when Moses was working for them, but found out he had recently quit. We normally have Moses spray outside, especially during the summer because of the roaches tend to come out of the sewers. I started to notice roaches in the main bathroom, so I called them about the issue. I originally called and spoke with Ryan, she told me someone would call me back to schedule. Nobody called me back. The next day my husband calls and speaks with the manager and scheduled an appointment for the following day. The day of the appointment, no one shows up. So I called the office and spoke to Ryan again. She tells me that we didn't have an appointment scheduled at all. She then told me she could schedule an appointment for me on the 30th because that's all they had available. The same day my husband gets a call at 5pm from Nate, saying that we DID have an appointment. Nate said he didn't show up because he had issues with his truck. Nate then said he was going to come over next morning at 8:30am to spray. This morning at around 8:30am, Nate shows up. I open the garage and spoke with him. He said it was going to take about 15 minutes per section outside of the house for him to spray. He said he was also going to spray the garage. Not even 8 minutes later, including the time I was talking to him, he gets in his truck and leaves. I literally watch him leave on my Ring cam while I was about to eat breakfast. I know for a fact he didn't spray anything in 5 minutes and my Ring cam never showed him coming back up to my door with any equipment to spray. He just basically talked to me, said he was going to spray, and then just left. He didn't leave a note or anything. I called back and spoke with Ryan again. I told her Nate showed up and didn't even spray anything. She then tells me that Nate doesn't even have a work cell phone on him, so she couldn't even contact him to see what happened. How do you run a business without being able to contact your employees? She said she has been getting on the manager about the issue of Nate not having a cell phone. I also confronted her about the appointment issue I had with her, saying I didn't have an appointment but I did. It turns out when my husband was talking to the manager and scheduled the appointment with Nate, the manager didn't make a note of it for her to see. So the manager can't even schedule appointments correctly? Ryan then tells me she would have her manager call me about the issues I was having. The manager calls me and says all he could do was apologize. He said that they have been having trouble covering routes in Yuba City since Moses left. He said he has been going out to cover appointments as well. I explained what happened with Nate, about him leaving, and how nobody was able to contact him. He said he finally resolved that issue today and Nate has a cell phone, he just didn't tell Ryan. The manager then said he was going to schedule an appointment with me the following day. I scheduled with him, but I later talked to my husband and we decided to just cancel our services with them completely. I don't trust services from them, including the manager at this point. We made an appointment with a local company in Yuba City instead. This business is run so poorly, I still can't believe the experience that I had. Three days of just poor communication, not scheduling appointments properly, employees not having cell phones on them, and employees not even doing their jobs. Avoid this company at all costs! They obviously don't care about their customers at all! read more

So everything started out great for the first three months of service on our year contract. Then..... it all went down hill from there. The office staff is great however they will not give you a scheduled time and date so you never know when you are supposed to be serviced. I am always giving them until the last day of the month and having to call and say I'm hello you automatically billed and took my money and yet I have not been serviced AGAIN!!!! So they take your money can't guarantee you anything, they try to make it right but the tech will only do an emergency visit and not their normal " thorough" spray, cob web removal, etc. I bet at this point if I wasn't home to make sure the job was getting done the tech would have just stuck a tag on our door and said he sprayed and left. After calling for the 4th maybe even 5th time now we cancelled because again my concerns were not heard they could not give me a permanent spot on the schedule to know when to expect them every other month. Literally they can not pick one day every other month to keep a customer.... STEER CLEAR you have to basically babysit them as a company to come do their job they automatically take your money from your account to do! I guess if you want the added supervisor work on your plate then be my guest lol! read more

I was at a friends house when a sale person was going door to door. She claimed they were in the neighborhood and could give rates because they were help others there. My friend signed up and I asked if they could give the same services was received with th Clark' for the price she quoted. She said yes, I would be charged $70 every two months for the same services. She lied. When the service Tech came out( He was a very nice gentleman and professional) he told me it was an extra $50 for the same services of two bait boxes as Clark's. When I explained that the salesperson said I was getting the same service, his supervisor said no"no"it would cost me an additional 50 dollars on top of the $70. I don't like being lied to or misled by a saleswoman. I switched back to Clark's that very day. I will now be charged $199 for canceling because I was mislead by a salesperson. Integrity is important!There services gentlemen were very kind and professional but lying to people is a very poor business practice. I will be reporting this experience to the Better Business Burea. I noticed other reviewers comments could mentioned the similar lying sales pitch about being in the neighborhood and sharing the good rates. read more

We are a customer but I have two issues. Their selling tactics are FALSE. Came to my house saying that the neighborhood was infested and a shit load of trucks will be in the neighborhood the next day. THATS THE SAME STUFF THEY SAID TO US WHEN WE SIGNED UP. Guess what? No trucks were in the neighborhood. And they came to our door not knowing we were already customers. Failed at their communications and liers!!! The secretary also lies. I am not at all happy with my services with Dewy pest control. First I will start out with saying I was tricked into signing up for their services. They were going door to door offering there services to people in my neighborhood . The gentlemen that came to my door told me they were offering a discounted rate to my area because he had signed up multiple of my neighbors,he even used my neighbors name. I of course believed him. I went ahead and I signed up. I spoke to a few of my immediate neighbors and none of them had signed up. My mistake for believing him. Secondly, while signing the contract I was told I would be charged every 2 month's $60. I told them that I would prefer to be charged monthly $30. I was assured that it would not be a problem. Once again not true. They charged me every 2 months the $60. Thirdly, the entire time I had service with them I had ants. Fourthly, I do not think they came out for the first few months that I was charged. I even called and made it a point that my services were less than acceptable that I still had ants and that they had not been out to service my house. . Lastly, I signed the contact in July. I called to discontinue my service because it obviously was not working as I have had ants the entire time. My last payment was today April 17th which is for the next 2 months and would take me to June 17th. My service as I am being told is up on July 7th and if I cancel now I will be charged $120 cancellation fee. I even asked if it could be prorate or if I could just pay $30 for the additional 20 days. I was told no. I would not recommend there services as I felt tricked , lied to , not to mention I had ants the entire time. My husband applied for a tech position for Oroville that was open on indeed and he got notification it was received by the company but mainly over looked... He called manytymez for a update and check in .. no relayed messages or returned calls no communication from manager and the equal rights/fair opportunity movement never fell in place and just becuz ppl new of him , mind you all positive stuff from a handful of customers he once had and his work pays off Haveing a branch 2 with 6 years route and sales experience, but the manager fails to comply with the equal opportunity rights and throws out a well qualified application .. then hires someone who cost the company more money for training license ECT .. over a put together package that would of brought Dewey great success in Numbers..all becuz of cheap talk and immature talk .and his well being of a person and his sexuality.. he wasn't even considered a interview.. The whole year we had service it never worked. We have been inundated with ants since we moved into our house. I would swear there are months they never even showed up to spray. When the technician was out to spray, I would tell him about the issue, and he would say they needed to be "active". Naturally, every morning I wake up and spray and wipe them down. The ants are everywhere...kitchen, bathrooms, living rooms, my child's toys. I didn't expect them to be gone but I did expect them to be at kept at bay. My only pro is that the receptionist waved the last payment when I canceled. I was pretty irritated when I called, and finally got an answer, to cancel. I was told there had to be a written 30 day notice, even though I had fulfilled our full contract. I sent a cancellation email with pictures of our issue. I outlined our issues and she waived the last payment. She's the reason this business gets two stars. She wasn't overly nice but she did the right thing. The pictures attached are of two days after they had been here, about 3-4 months ago. On a side note, we also had spiders, beetles, and the cobwebs were never knocked down. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. All I can say is don't bother with this company. Completely a waste of time, no one give correct information. Staff does not communicate with the needs of customers and techs never show up when they are schedule to. I have been having issues with rodents and bugs and no one seems to be knowledgeable on how to help? Dowey has been doing our pest service for roughly a year now. We recently had a problem with mice as we live near a field in a new subdivision. My tech by the name of Moses came to our home to set up bait boxes. He gave me a ton of great information about how everything works, the safety features towards our children and pets and how the process of getting rid of the mice. He spent roughly 30 minutes with me. I was very impressed with how much he wanted to make me feel comfortable with the process and to ensure that I was in good hands. Worst service ever!!! The girls in the office give such attitude, when you call with a complaint.I took 4 days off cause the pest guy was supposed to come and he never showed up. When he die show up, he said this was the first time he had heard of me calling him back out.After I was told numerous times hed be there. My service tech Jacob is amazing!!!! As for the girls in the office, they need to take some customer service advise from him. I was told when I signed up that they would spray for mosquitoes and flies. They do neither!!! I signed up for a contract with this company for a year to take care of a slug problem I was having. My pest problem was never solved, but they would not let me cancel the contract.
