This hidden utopia of burgers and freshly squeezed lemonade is a fisherman/woman's oasis after a long morning on the river. Damn I had a great burger there today. I ordered the single with American cheese, loaded (of course), with waffle fries as an accompaniment by suggestion of the waiter, whom was super polite and funny. Of course I got ranch for the waffle fries because as a true Montanan, that's what we do. And it was homemade. Extra points for them. The burger was great. Homemade patty, well cooked, just right. I took a bargain on the lemonade, usually restaurants will try and pull off the cheap stuff and charge you for homemade. I was so glad I took the chance. Pleasantly surprised and worth the $5 for the tanker o' lemonade. Whole meal was reasonably priced and you couldn't ask for a better atmosphere. Great job guys. read more

The staff is funny and nice however very slow. Their food is very disappointing. The hamburger was partly burnt (and it was 9.00). I've never paid $9 for a burger. We also got a Reese's blizzard (and paid for extra Reese's) and there were maybe three pieces of Reese's in there. As well as the ice cream tasted cheap and gross. Oh and our small Reese's blizzard was almost $5. Prices are WAY to high for low quality food. Wouldn't recommend this spot to anyone. read more

I visited the Dew Drop Inn twice on a recent trip to Montana. They had a fixed menu, and then a "specials" menu on a whiteboard sign. I chose to order from the specials sign. My first meal was the brats with sauerkraut and onion rings. The brats were flavorful and the onion rights were hot and fresh. My second meal was less successful. It came about from the following conversation with the desk dude: Me: Alligator sandwich, huh? Is it real alligator? Dude: Yeah it sure is. Me: Wow, where you guys get the alligator? Dude: I have no idea where he (the owner) gets the alligator. Me: Cool. I'm sold. Dude: Do you want that with lemon pepper or BBQ sauce? Me: What do you recommend? Dude: Lemon pepper. Me: Done. The alligator tested like a tough, stale chicken nugget with a slightly fishy aftertaste. I was longing for the brat one bite into it. Overall a good place to enjoy lunch in the shade with the locals. Overheard during lunch: "I lost a horse and I didn't think I was going to have to dynamite it but now I think I'm going to have to use dynamite." read more

2018 UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. Our family has been stopping here for decades. Last summer's management left a lot to be desired, but the new management is turning things around. I highly recommend giving them another try. The locals seem to approve as the parking lots is again full. The owners, Jim and Kristy, along with their family, offer a big menu (see photos), reasonable prices, clean facility, inside seating, and cheerful service. They own another successful restaurant, so this isn't their first rodeo. Summer hours are 11(?) am to 9 pm, or later if busy. We usually go for the ice cream. TERRIBLE. The guy at the front was fly swatting the serving table, swatting another employee's butt, and giving everyone attitude. The server who was making ice cream was putting a bandaid on her bloody finger and then was touching our ice cream cones, not even washing her hands! Absolutely disgusting. They were joking about us commenting on the fly swatter under their breath. What a joke. We will NEVER be back. Would give zero stars if I could. read more

My wife and I used to love this place. Would once have given it 4 stars, holding back the 5th one only because the ambience inside wasn't the best, but service was once friendly and the food good. Since the current owner bought the place, though, it's gone downhill in a regrettable fashion. He's exchanged friendly service for surly, and while the food is still decent, it's not what it once was. He complains about business being bad and buttons up the place before dinner customers even have a chance to manifest. I'll have to find another place for milkshakes. I honestly still wish them the best, and hope the present owner can work out his inadequacies, but I'm not holding my breath. Let's start with the good...the burgers we're tasty with big portions...unfortunately my order came with about 8 curly fries. Now for the bad... I was verbally chastised by the woman because I left the dining room door open... she promptly shouted "dining room door!" You heard that right, no please, not even a lousy verb in her command. The slogan for this place should be "Dew Drop Inn: where humans are treated like dogs and dogs are treated like humans" because they have my dog a Doggy treat with some ice cream. They threatened to charge me 14.95 when I asked for a side of ranch. Conclusion: service was rude and awkward...I will not be returning. read more

Our experience here was not same as these old reviews. It's a good thing I had no reception before going here. The service was great and the two servers we spoke to were super friendly. We all thought our food was delicious. My wife had a regular cheeseburger. My daughter had the pulled pork sandwich. My son had the hangover burger (fried egg on a bacon cheeseburger). I had the bbq brisket burger. The tator tots, waffle fries, and fries were all good. After such a good lunch we had to try the shakes. So many choices. If you can't decide, they let you pick two flavors. read more

My boyfriend, friend, and I stopped to grab a bite to eat on the way home from hiking mystic lake. We were starving and came across Dew Drop in. We were deciding what we wanted to eat when the female barked at us that they were closed. Not only was it 755 and they closed at 8, but to so rudely yell that they were closed to us in front of everyone was highly unprofessional. I'm glad we didn't give them any business and they were "closed." It appears they need to work on customer service first. read more

Drove up for a fun evening summer dinner with my sister in our kids. We found that the service was very poor. We got the feeling that we were an inconvenience to both the man and woman working. I ordered a Coney Island hot dog. It came covered with some awful chili with beans out of a can I assume. It was probably the worst Coney Island I ever ate. The worst part was that the hot dog sandwich and a drink cost about twice as much as I expected to pay. The service wasn't bad but I was the only one in the place. maybe I just picked the wrong thing to order, but when I saw The Coney Island on the chalkboard I thought it sounded like a good choice because I had not had one in some time. Do not go to this place!! First the campground was really trashy. My husband travels for work so we've had our fair share of different trailer campgrounds amd this was one of the worst ones. Also the owner charged us a full months rate ($450) for only 5 nights stay ($30/night). He refused to refund the $300 difference and claimed it was because people called to see if there was room and he told them there wasnt so that was "our responsibilty". We've never been treated like this at a campground before...hotels don't even do that to people. Secondly the food was greasy. We only jad the hamburgers and if you didn't eat the hamburger right away the bun would fal apart ftom all the grease. Save yourself the headache and do NOT go here. read more
