Full disclosure, when I arrived home with the food there was one small mistake but once I called, they rectified the problem without hesitation... customer service goes a long way in my book. Since the place is sort of small we opted to carry out and take it home with us. My Girlfriend got the Chicken, Red Beans and Rice with gumbo. We also go Shrimp and for my main meal I had something called the Southern Burrito. I'll get back to that in a few. The staff is extremely nice and the food.... GOOD LAWD will make you slap yo momma! The chicken is amazing! The gumbo is to die for... the shrimp were seasoned well and that red beans and rice (as Justin Wilson used to say....."Woooo Boy!" But looka here! LAWD WAKE ME UP CAUSE I SHOLE THOUGHT I WAS IN HEABEN!!!! This thing is Mexican, Cajun and Soul Food all wrapped up in one meal. By the way those are my three favorite cuisines.... This burrito has rice, collard greens and loaded with pull pork... GOOD GOOGLY MOOGLY! Apparently, there are locations all the way to Michigan and Wisconsin even. Ordered curbside pickup online just to see if they really would honor it, fully expecting to go in, since so much of that has stopped since the height of COVID. We decided to try the Motherload sampler with a variety of sides. When we got there and checked in via text, we were surprised that they actually were going to come outside to deliver it (but we met them at the door in any case). Good to know for next time. Overall, it was a pretty satisfying meal. We tried as many sides as we could get with our meal. All of them were pretty great. I'm partial to my own homemade mac and cheese and greens, but they weren't bad. As far as the meats go, I think I liked the brisket, turkey breast, and sausage best. The ribs could have been more tender but were slightly better than the ones I got from Cozy Coop this year. I still haven't found a rib place that really sticks with me in my immediate area, but there are many more to try of course! I just like that turkey breast was even an option for the sampler. It was seasoned well and not dry also. I joined the rewards program, so I received a discount that I used up front. I would definitely like to try some of their sandwiches with housemade pastrami, nachos, and some more of the meats and sides. It seems to be a good, solid place for dinner or lunch with a lot of options for all. I'll be back.

It wasn't busy for a Sunday lunch but it's in a very tucked away location on Lakefield Drive. We ordered the beef noodle soup, gravy noodles, potstickers, XLB, and egg tarts. While presentation was great everything fell short except for the XLB and egg tarts. I do like that there is an option for a small portion of noodles - great if you want room to try other dishes. Noodles themselves were nice and chewy but the flavor and thickness of the broths felt like I was eating ramen instead of Chinese or Taiwanese noodle soups. Meats were tender. The gravy noodles had fish, pork, and duck in it and had too many mixes of flavors for us. The potstickers were large but too oily and didn't have much flavor inside. XLB were standard - I thought they were fine but could have used some more soup. Egg tarts were also flaky and good as expected. The waitress said be careful as they were hot from the oven but I couldn't wait since I love dessert. It was cold in the center lol. Otherwise flavor was great. Def have mixed feelings about this spot. Try it for yourself and see what you think.

This is just not what you would expect!…read more Our church had their New Year's Eve celebration here... well the singles part of the church. The place had a good size, very modern, event room that has its own entrance attached to the restaurant. They have a stage, tvs for playing videos, they offer catering, they provided tables, coverings, seating, the works! And they even have specialty lighting and under the sea projection for the floor! I mean you're dancing on swimming fish. The food was good and they just kept bringing it. It was a great selection of small bites that allowed you to try many things. They even had a manned cash bar that made pretty good drinks at very fair prices! All in all the event was really nice. I was completely impressed. Now the guy who headed this up, Joe, and the rest of us did some work to get things set up and decorated but honestly the owner was there helping too! Seriously.. kudos... this was a great time!

The chefs tout fifteen years of Japanese culinary experience. The meal itself consists of a side salad (ginger dressing), hibachi vegetables, fried rice, homemade dipping sauce (teriyaki, yum-yum), and 2 proteins of their choice (tofu, chicken, jumbo shrimp, NY strip steak, scallops). There is an extra charge for filet mignon and lobster. My friend hired Hibachi Furano for a recent milestone birthday in her backyard for a dozen guests. Our chef was the consummate professional, and we were thoroughly entertained with sake squirts, flying spatulas, and the fire shaker show. All of our vegetables and proteins were well cooked and seasoned. Once the experience was over (about ninety minutes), our chef discreetly and quickly cleaned up his workstation and slipped out without disrupting the party. I am going to have to find a reason to hire Hibachi Furano for a future event. We had a blast and working with Hibachi Furano was hassle-free.

We recently celebrated a milestone birthday in our home for 2 dozen guests. Our Chef, Jerry, arrived a half hour before start time, setup and was ready for showtime lightning quick. After we riled up the group, Jerry did his thing and it was just like being in a Hibachi Restaurant. Salad with ginger dressing, fried rice, super tasty vegetables and then the entrees. I'm a self professed snob when it comes to food and this was delicious. I had Filet and Scallops, my wife had Shrimp & Scallops. I also got a chance to try the strip steak. The cooking was in point, the filet was so tender and juicy and the sauce was flavorful without being too salty over shadowing the meat. Anyone that knows seafood knows how easy it is to overcook shrimp and scallops. This seafood was perfection, melt in your mouth good, not one bite tough or chewy. When the show was over, Jerry cleaned up with extreme efficiency and slipped out without disrupting the ongoing event, leaving no trace of his presence, other than the smiles on everyone's face. This service is an excellent value and I will find a reason to use them again. The setup is the equivalent of a six foot table and the chef just needs standard work around space to operate and get to your guests. Timely, efficient, cleanly and expertly prepared food. I recommend Hibachi Furano and Chef Jerry.
