Located at the Mall of Georgia food court this place is usually pretty busy. I decided to stop by and get some cookies because why not. I ordered white chunk macadamia, birthday cake, blueberry, and chocolate cookies and a piece of cheesecake brownie. The taste and the quality of the cookies are very good, but I have to say they're very expensive. I paid about $12 dollars for cookies and a brownie, really? I guess I was craving it bad. I believe the name was something along the lines of Kristi but I was at the store on Saturday and she was very polite. She had made a cake for me and she was absolutely welcoming. Her penmanship with the frosting was very neat as well. She had told me she only started working at the beginning of the summer. I was at the store on the lower level and I felt very welcomed. She was very accommodating and very persuasive on purchases. I had been eyeing the cheesecake brownie and she looked and me and said "get it i know you want to and nobody will judge you for eating something you'll enjoy" so I bought it. I ordered a cake online with a "bad word" on it for a prank for a friend 30th birthday. The order was placed and confirmed via email Monday. Everything was good to go... Then I called to double check the order on Thursday and the person who answered the phone talked down to me as if I am some garbage human for wanting a cake with a bad word on it. I explained it was just a joke for a 30th birthday party. She told me no way they could write "Happy F**** Birthday" so I asked her if they could do "Happy Freaking Birthday" and she grunted and moaned like I was causing her physical pain and explained they cannot do that either. Normally I would have been understanding because I realize in corporations there are rules in place that the person answering the phone really has no say in, but her attitude made the situation so much worse. She could have laughed it off but instead she treated me like I was an awful person. 0 sense of humor and customer service. I told her I was disappointed in her service and upset that they didn't call me to let me know they couldn't make the custom cake. Why did they confirm this order and take money out of my account if they can't do it? Why does their online order processing system not automatically kick this out because of the "bad word"? I am happy I called myself (and did their job for them) to confirm this detail because I would have been left cake-less for a huge 30th birthday party. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE - OWNER LARRY WILBURN IS RUDE AND NOT HELPFUL!! Ordered a cookie cake that was suppose to say "Marry Christmas to All" in color and after waiting 30 minutes after my pick up time I received a cake that says "Marry X-mas to All" and was in black and white. When I called and asked for a refund the manager Dillon said he couldn't do that so I asked to speak to the owner Larry Wilburn who refused any refund or a replacement cake and actually said it was my fault that the cookie didn't turn out correct and after i questioned him about this he hung up on me. I am writing this review in reference to the location downstairs at the Mall of Ga near the Starbucks. I had a buy one get one free cookie coupon for being a member so long and wanted to inquire about getting my daughter her birthday cake from here (for September 16th). Larry was the associate who helped me and unprofessionally at that. He informed me that it "clearly stated that the coupon needed to be printed and that they did not have a scanner to scan my coupon so it HAD to be printed". He had already put the cookies in the bag. Honestly had he been friendly about it I would have paid full price for both cookies, but rather he chose to be rude and yell at me and continue to reiterate the fact that I had failed to print this coupon. $1.79. That's what you were fighting and arguing with me over. Needless to say, I walked away with 0 cookies while GAC just ate the cost of the two cookies that had already been taken out of the case. Their prices for their cookies are pretty expensive. For each cookie, they cost a $1.49 each. So right now they're doing a Buy 5 and Get 1 free at the moment. So I decided to get sugar cookies (3), chocolate chip cookies (2) and for my free one I decided to give the chocolate cookie with white chocolate chips on top of it. I took a piece off of the chocolate cookie with white chocolate chips on top of it (the girl told me it tastes like 'oreos'.. honestly, I don't think she's tried it yet.. because it didn't taste anything like oreos.. I was disappointed). If you like your cookies to be REALLY SWEET like I do, then get the Sugar Cookies. YUM! They're so moist, soft and chewy! I enjoyed eating it! And then there's the all time favorite for most people, the Original Chocolate Chip Cookies.. Yum! Yum! Yum! The chocolate is gooey and the cookie is also moist and chewy! Today I order a cookie cake when I tried to pick it up I ask for a small bit of extra icing they normally charge 5 dollars they said today they don't and have never sold icing. I've been coming to this location for nearly half my life. Until recently this is where my birthday cake came from every year and all my step brothers too. I've had Great American Cookies since I was in middle school, starting at the perimeter mall location, and have always been pleased. This is hands down my favorite type of cake and this company does it better than any other cookie cake. My ONLY complaint is the cost. Used to only be about $21 for a for a small cake and now it's roughly $30. My family has never had a bad experience with them and I will continue to my business. LOVE this company!! read more

While I normally enjoy Great American Cookies, I was not satisfied with this location at the Mall of Georgia, located next to Starbucks - note, there is another unit inside this mall. The girl that works here did not look like she was happy nor friendly at all. Usually, I love their cookies but they are a little overpriced. However, they are doing a deal where if you buy 5 cookies, you get the 6th one free. Their domino and the white chunk macadamia cookies are my favorite!
