You can tell that Ms. Francine, Ms. Marisa, Mr. Igor, Ms. Caitlyn, Ms. Victoria, Ms. Clara, Ms. Maddy, Ms. Kaylar, and really ALL the teachers truly care about the well-being of all their students, and the studio feels like family to us. My older daughter has enjoyed the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) track, while my little one loves the hip hop (thanks Mr. Ethan!) and ballet/jazz classes. I personally love the adult ballet classes (Ms. Caitlyn!) There are a lot of choices for after school activities, but the integrity and professionalism of this studio makes dance my girls' favorite activity. Lastly, The Nutcracker, Spring Performance, and June Show are INCREDIBLE productions, and they really show off each dancer's technique and love of dance!

The RAD ballet program provides the perfect blend of structure and joy, with Francine masterfully balancing discipline and merit-based achievement while keeping classes fun and engaging. Beyond dance technique, our girls are building genuine confidence and valuable life skills. We've noticed how the grace and poise they're developing at TDA naturally carries over into their academic work and athletic activities. It's a truly motivating environment where both of our daughters are thriving. We couldn't be happier with our choice and highly recommend The Dance Academy Del Mar to other families.

I have spoken personally on the phone and via email to the owner that I wish to cancelled to my surprise, I am charged for the monthly fee on my credit card! If I did not check my charges, this would have been monthly ongoing basis. I have called my credit card company to block this merchant and dispute this charge; as the studio does NOT reply back to their emails unless you are a new student or enrolling. Not a happy camper!

They are able to teach the many kids they deal with every day with humor and respect and enable their talent to blossom. Yes, my kids take classes here, and have for years, but it really is a great place. Couldn't believe it wasn't on here yet. NCDA also piloted a program where the families of the studio adopted families from nearby Camp Pendleton for Christmas (Bells of Freedom) several years ago. Last year, two huge UPS trucks and the guys in brown alongside a caravan of families made many underserved servicemen's families holiday a lovely surprise. What NCDA started benefits not only the military families but also the kids from the studio who do all the prep work and hopefully, learn a little about giving back to others. As a note, the studio also offers adult classes, both during the weekday and on evenings, for beginners and beyond. There are families that have both moms and kid(s) dancing at the yearly recital. Cuteness ensues. (Note: I'm not one of those moms).

i have a few friends who's son's/daughters take dance classes here.,…read moremy child has taken classes at the YMCA, at the rec center and in her after school enrichment...all have been nice. Now we joined our friends at "love to dance". we just started mid year after they hosted one of our girl scout troop meetings (what a great idea for a meeting!) almost like a yelp event =) my daughter resisted strongly when i enrolled her ...but she is loving it!!! the staff and Mindy (owner) are super friendly and helpful...they remember each and every person they meet. That shows me how much they care about the students here. I hope that my daughter continues to take classes here and be comfortable in multiple forms of dance. While my goal is not for my daughter to be a pro dancer...they definitely are pumping some of those out of here too!

My daughters have been taking lessons here for over a year now and I don't know who loves it more:…read morethem or me. The relative new-comer in Carmel Valley dance, Love To Dance has proven that it was able to take all the complaints and kudos from the other studies and make a better product. Mindy, the studio's owner & artistic director is a fantastic teacher and mentor. Craig, the owner & administrator is a breath of fresh air in dealing with business matters. They know what works and are a pleasure to deal with. There is no snottiness and no drama like at other studios. There are no sticks jammed up anyone's butts and the kids aren't treated like dancing cattle in pink tights and toe shoes. It's like a family, but the dancing is taken seriously. It's a comfortable dance studio in a convenient location (right by the Vons shopping center, it's easy to zip in and out for errands during classes). The classes aren't over-filled and the types of classes offered are varied (hip-hop to lyrical to tap to jazz to adult classes, etc). The Annual Dance Concert is by far the most professional I've attended. I guess the most important thing I can say in this review is that all the kids love their classes and their teachers.

Bay Club Carmel Valley - Outdoor pool and tennis courts

Bay Club is a great family-friendly place with lots of activities and pools. The environment feels…read moresafe and welcoming for everyone. The club itself is pricey. The food is good. The bathrooms and showers could use some upgrades, but overall it's a solid, enjoyable spot for families.

I really want to like Bay Club because the potential is obvious, but the execution is…read moredisappointing. I used to go to Life Time, and the difference is night and day. It honestly doesn't take much to make a gym great, but Bay Club feels stuck in the past. The men's locker room is gross and smells. There's a persistent musky odor that's hard to stomach, likely coming from old carpet that's clearly been there for years. The men's showers are equally bad, with hair everywhere, inconsistent cleanliness, and low water pressure, which makes the entire experience feel unhygienic and poorly maintained. The men's sauna is especially concerning. There appears to be little to no ventilation, creating a heavy, stagnant environment that can allow dangerous CO buildup. On top of that, the walls and benches in the sauna are extremely outdated, reinforcing the sense that this space hasn't been refreshed or properly maintained in a long time. The products provided (shampoo, conditioner, etc.) are low quality and full of questionable ingredients, which feels completely out of place for a club charging premium prices. The weight room is constantly messy, with plates scattered everywhere and mismatched equipment. It feels chaotic instead of intentional. The outdoor gym is another huge missed opportunity. With the space and climate, it could be incredible, but instead it feels underdeveloped and outdated. Overall, everything just feels old and complacent. There's so much opportunity here, yet it seems like no one is pushing to raise the standard. After experiencing what a well-run gym can be, this falls short. I'll probably be canceling soon unless major improvements are made
