I had my first lesson with Jill. I wouldn't say I have two left feet but I always danced like my feet were on fire. I didn't really have any rhythm.. going outside my comfort zone and taking a dance lesson was difficult for me, but Jill made it super easy , she was very patient very informative, and when I left my first lesson, I felt more confident and comfortable with the basic steps I was introduced to.. Wow what an incredible studio! My fiance and I went to Arthur Murray so that we could take dance lessons and have a choreographed first dance for our wedding. The instructors have been so welcoming and helpful and all of the students are incredibly supportive. We've enjoyed learning how to partner dance and trying out different styles of dance that we can use for our first dance or for other dance songs. I would definitely encourage engaged couples to begin classes at least a few months before their wedding and to attend the group classes and dance parties for practice. Started here because of a groupon and have ended up thinking we will c9ntinue to come back as it is a fun thing to do together. Plus we do see improvement! We have been working with Zach who really knows what he is doing and is great! Then we have worked with McKayla and Jude as well who have been great too! Can't complain. The investment is pricey but you get to go to group dances included if you have the bronze level membership. They also allow you to determine how many private lessons a month to help with budget. Again it is pricey even for two lessons a month plus group dances and parties (~$335) but depends how much you put into it and have to remember it's a life craft to use. We came in wanting to learn swing and are now taking 6 different styles of dancing and have fallen in love with all of them, while falling more in love with each other. We were getting married in a week and decided at the last minute we should really take some dance lessons (the past couple months have been super busy which made us put off prioritizing learning to dance). Jude was super nice on the phone, even reminding us to get the Groupon before it expired the next day (and if we didn't do that, she would've honored the same priced deal anyway). She squeezed two private lessons for us the very next day and the day after the next. We were super grateful! Everyone was nice and a lot of the instructors introduced themselves to us regardless of the fact that they weren't teaching us. The dance floor was big enough that they cleared a space for us while another group class was taking place. They also even played our first dance song a few times, too! They all were very welcoming and encouraging, considering how nervous we were. Our main instructor would pull in other staff at times to show us moves, ask us if we liked how it looked, and tailored tips and feedback to the fact that it was for our wedding.
