A tree fell on our house during a windstorm at 3:30 in the morning so we got going with the process of repairing and getting help ASAP. I found them as 24/7 emergency response on Yelp and decided to call them around 4:30 in the morning and someone did pick up. Matt was able to come out and give us a quote at 6:30. We had also gotten another quote prior at 6. They initially quoted quite a bit higher and when we told them our first quote, they were able to provide a fair quote in return with some additional services. Throughout this whole unlucky incident, Becca, Matt and her crew have been really communicative, responsive, and helpful throughout the whole time, especially with coordinating with Seattle city light. The estimator was informative and helpful during the free evaluation and estimate visit. He came back with the contract for me to sign and one of the crew bosses who had also graduated from the South Seattle Community College horticulture program and was able to tell me interesting new information about other plantings in my yard. The crew itself was amazing. They showed up after having been on the job for 8 1/2 hour and worked in the mid-80 degree sun with the energy and enthusiasm of people starting out fresh on a cool morning. The crew did an outstanding job solving a tricky situation. A large maple was hung up across our driveway. We wanted the log kept as intact as possible and moved to the side. It was a majestic tree. Devoted Tree Solutions took out a large, older plum tree from our property. The tree was hanging over our fence into our neighbors yard. In spite of a few hiccups, I'd definitely recommend Pros - We worked with Matt who provided a very competitive quote. They were the least costly and most responsive of 4 different companies. - Matt went above and beyond to talk to our neighbors (at our request) and talk to his team about a special request we had regarding the wood chips. - Their team was very communicative, showed up on time, and was in-and-out in under an hour. They were very professional, courteous and fast. They did an amazing job cleaning up the yard and raking everything over. We had some issues with grinding the stump because we are up on a terraced slope with a steep stair up to our yard. This was part of our original quote, but they couldn't get their deep stump grinder up. We had a bit of a snafu since we wanted to re-plant in that area, and they had a sub-contractor come out to finish the job, who had a few hiccups. While this mistake was foreseeable, I have to say that they were extremely helpful in trying to find a solution quickly and with minimal hassle for us. They offered the have the subcontractor come out again after the first time didn't result in what we wanted, or to refund us the money. We chose to use Devoted Tree Solutions even though they were pricier than other options because the arborist seemed very knowledgeable and their initial communications were quick and responsive. They removed some trees from our front yard and in addition to tree removal, we also paid an additional fee for stump grinding. The stump grinding crew left behind some pretty big roots in the yard that are sticking out. I've been in touch with Devoted since Aug 25 trying to get them to resolve this issue. It's now October and they still haven't taken care of it. First, they needed to check on the stump grinding crew's availability. Then, some machine broke. Most recently, it was something about backlog. I've been the one to reach out to them multiple times and nothing is getting done - this past Monday, the quality control manager told me he'd be in touch by the end of the week with an update, but nothing. We had a huge limb come off a giant old red maple in our front yard at 1:00am this winter. It missed the house, but blocked the entire driveway. My husband found a number for Devoted Tree Solutions under emergency tree services and reached a PERSON at that hour. At first light, a crew was here to remove it all. Arborist Joe and the crew were amazing. Later, we had to have the tree taken down.
