Top notch professional services. These folks are artists. Not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.

I tried working with other cabinet suppliers including Home Depot, but the service was terrible. Ofer at Planet Cabinets was incredible from the first email to set up an appointment! We met and he walked me through his showroom, gave me several options, and followed up with a detailed quote in my price range. We talked to confirm measurements, etc. and he always followed up quickly. He was present when the cabinets were delivered and quickly replaced a damaged cabinet. Thanks to him I have my new beautiful, functional kitchen!!!

Ofer was patient, knowledgeable, and never pushy -- he took the time to walk us through our options and helped us feel confident in our decisions. We went with Orange Cabinetry, a more budget-friendly brand that Ofer endorsed in terms of quality and customer service. Even though there was a delay in stock (which we were informed about in advance), the team encouraged us to stick with the sage green color we really loved instead of settling for something else just to speed things up. I'm so glad we waited -- the cabinets are beautiful, well-built, and exactly what we wanted. We've gotten a ton of compliments. Planet Cabinets also helped us source Jeffrey Alexander hardware, and their support with sizing and quantities made that process easy. Overall, we felt informed, supported, and never rushed. Highly recommend Planet Cabinets if you're looking for a company that balances affordability with honest, thoughtful service.

To correct his lie, they never offered the free replacement. I initially held the remaining payment expecting them to address the issue, but they threatened me with things like filing a lien. So I paid the remainder. I even paid extra to replace the incorrectly installed drawers, which were flat drawers. The second time, they were installed incorrectly again, differently designed shakers. The result is what the photos here show. Extremely irresponsible. BTW, you are the one who did incompetent job and you want to move on without fixing it? What a joke. --- This was our 2nd time working with them. The first time, back in 2020, went very smooth, so we decided to work with them again for our new home. This time it was night and day. It couldn't have been worse. We chose shaker everywhere, but noticed the design draft showed the top drawers flat. The designer told us it was a glitch in their new software, but they went ahead and installed the flat ones anyway. I asked to have it changed and held payment until they fixed it. Instead, they blamed me for an outcome I supposedly approved, and insisted I pay extra to make them shakers. So I did. Then the final result came out like the photo. There's an obvious discrepancy in the width of the cove area (the sloped section between the outer and inner profiles). The designer couldn't even see the problem. The owner never responded at all. I even filed a complaint with the BBB, and they never addressed it. So the BBB closed the case. It's painful to see them treat me like this when I liked them so much 5 years ago. Avoid these crooks if you can.

I really appreciate their input from beginning to end of our kitchen project. Although we did not choose their contractors, the order was correct and really worked out great! I wish we hired their contractor since they work with these particular cabinet makers on a regular basis, since my workers made a costly mistake which was really upsetting. However, Kitchen and Bath was great with ordering new parts/ cabinets/replacements. Communication was excellent, and a few times, we did hire their contractor, who fixed problems or offered good solutions. We had an incredible experience with them, and our kitchen looks so fabulous!

I needed a new cabinet for the bathroom after some remodeling and whatnot, so I looked around for a…read morecouple of cabinet places. This place is in a nondescript strip mall in Lincolnwood just outside Chicago, and I just happened to see it as I was driving home one day. I wanted to check out a few places so I added them to my list. Their hours are not super easy to work with, especially if you're a working individual, so you'll probably want to either make an appointment or contact them to confirm their hours for the day or week to make sure someone will be there. Marta helped me understand the cabinets that I might be able to choose from for my space, find something of a relatively inexpensive price point, and the countertop options for it as well. There were some hiccups. Communication leaves a lot to be desired. Even disregarding the Memorial Day holiday where there was no communication for about five days (I get it, people take time off plus their limited schedule), it was like pulling teeth to get information I needed--for instance, when I asked what they needed from me to get the job started, I got an email saying that they'd probably need a deposit. That was the full email--no instructions on how to provide one, when, etc. So I had to respond back to them to ask how to make a deposit to get the work done and it was several days before I got an email saying that I could bring a check (because apparently they do check only) during their very limited hours of 9:30-3. Oh, and to let them know when I was coming so that they'd actually be able to help me I guess. They intimated they take check only as payment, so I had to go during my workday to pay. I arrived 10 minutes after they opened--specifically after they told me they opened, because I asked via email for them to confirm their hours and that they'd be there since I needed to go during work--and no one was there when I arrived. So that was a bit annoying. Having said all that, I chose to work with them because they were by far the quickest option and reasonably priced. The townhome in which I live we hopefully will sell within the coming months, so I didn't want to spend a ton of money on this. Also, with my mom visiting in fewer than six weeks from the time I was looking, I needed the work to be done as immediately as possible. Kitchen & Bath Cabinets Center said they said it would be about two weeks. Given the cabinet place in my neighborhood said it would take five weeks just to get the cabinetry in--and then I'd have to find my own installers)--and not being able to really get much help from Studio41, this company was the clear choice. But if I wasn't worried about the timeframe (and planned to remain in the home longer than say a year), I may have gotten frustrated and gone elsewhere. Whilst this was all happening I was on the fence as to whether I'd recommend this contractor to someone else, and it would definitely have been with some caveats. However, now that the work is done I would recommend them as someone to check out knowing you'll need to have patience and be flexible. They did get it installed within a couple weeks, and it's absolutely beautiful work. They provided installation, which others didn't, so that was something that I didn't have to worry about finding separately (that alone may have tipped me to using them, to be honest). They also prepared the custom vent area that was necessary since there is a vent hole under where this unit was/is. They put on the cabinet pulls I'd purchased from Lowes, and would have done the plumbing but since I had a plumber coming anyway I preferred he take care of it. Now I just need to find someone to install the mirror that was once above the space and the bathroom will be all set.

Initially everything was fine…read morebut after his team put the doors on the cabinets two of them weren't level and it looked bad. No big deal, easy 10 minute fix that Ephrem said he would take care of. I chased him down for EIGHT WEEKS to come fix it. Finally I was fed up and told Ephrem I was starting to get pissed, and he called me and BLEW UP at me. He started yelling at me and cussing me out, saying that 'he doesn't sit in front of a f**king computer all day like you do' and that 'you don't buy cabinets from f**king Home Depot, have someone install them incorrectly, then yell at Home Depot to come fix them". The burden was on him to fix, not my contractor because HIS team installed the doors, NOT my contractor. I asked him what the name of his company was and he literally said 'that's none of your business'. I was floored that I paid HIM, HIS guys made an error (a very small, easily fixable one), and HE promised to fix it, ignored my requests to come out, then I expressed my frustrations and HE yelled and cussed ME out. Shouldn't it have been the other way around? Is this how he treats all his customers? After eight weeks the door finally got fixed. I'm not suggesting anyone do or don't do business with him, but be mindful that if something needs fixing after the work is done he'll be very reluctant to help. *not sure why my profile says San Fran, I'm in Chicago.

After many years working retail and enjoying these killer employee discounts at various places, I realized that my clothes and accessories lacked organizations and were often "invisible" because another pile of stuff would be laid on top of them. It was time to put an end on these "pyramid schemes." In this case, I meant stacking of my shirts, pants, blazers, sweaters, and etc. I found "Perfection Closets" via Yelp. I went on their website, filled out an inquiry form, and was contacted a few days after to set up a free in-home consultation. Carrie was assigned to be our closet designer. Since I wanted to transform the entire room to be a walk-in closet, Carrie took the measurements and asked us if we would like to keep under a certain budget. She also showed us some examples of colors and styles on her tablet. Once hubby and I figured out an available time for both of us, we then contacted Carrie via e-mail for the showroom visit (their showroom is located in Niles, off Touhy). Carrie presented her design in a digital form, explained the details, and together we collaborated to make necessary modifications and additions (scarf and necktie racks were requested). Carrie worked within what our budget allowed. After we paid the deposit (half of the total payment), hubby began to paint the walls with the color that best complemented the color of the shelves (it was "Diva," slightly off-white, or similar to winter white). Once the painting work was completed, I sent an e-mail to Carrie again to determine when the installation would take place. The day before installation, Jimi, the installation manager, sent me a confirmation e-mail and stated that the installer(s) would be onsite in between 8:30am to 9:30am. Jeremy, the young man who was in charge of my closet installation, showed up at 8:35am. He was very polite and was nice enough to pay attention to our cats since he had to make a number of trips to transport the fixtures and tools from the company van. The entire installation, from start to finish, took approximately four (4) hours. Jeremy also swept the floor after the installation and did a walk-through with me. Wow, how exciting! I now have a big room of closet all to myself...except a few shelves and racks are dedicated to hubby's stuff. I highly recommend "Perfection Closets" for your organizational needs at home or at your office. I definitely will be calling them again for making a jewelry island or jewelry room.
