The staff is very nice, but they have a rat problem. My bed and appliances were destroyed. Waterlines for the refrigerator were chewed up to the back panel, dishwasher water lines, hoses to the washer, carpet cleaners and my adjustable bed. They offer insurance, which I have but the can only pay $500 with a $100 deductible. If you can prove there is rat urine in your items, they may pay $500 more. The furniture was in there for 2 months. I am very disappointed and cannot afford to replace the refrigerator or bed. read more

Been paying for a unit every month for years now. Every manager , except one, and there has been ALOT is the absolute worst. It's almost as if being rude,disrespectful,and just downright awful is a requirement to manage this place. Save yourself from dealing with this nightmare and go anywhere , LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE. Not only are they a SCAM , don't get me started on that... but this review is based solely on customer service and I'm telling you all stay away from here at all costs. They're not the cheapest option, not even close, so there's that too. Don't make the same mistake I and lots of other reviewers have made. I honestly don't even know how they are still allowed to conduct business. Absolute garbage company Oh yeah... and there's a rodent infestation. What happens when you put your stuff in Devon Self Storage: 18690 US Highway 18 Apple Valley, California I have paid THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS to store my belongings in this storage facility and every last piece of furniture is filthy, nasty and dirty! I b.s you not! Every damn piece! French Provincial Furniture! Not IKEA! Not pressed wood! French Provincial! Bedroom Sets! Armoire's! Love Seats! Sofas! Chairs! Here's the kicker! Rat's apparently have been having their way in both units! I cannot take this stuff to my home! It has to been cleaned, the furniture needs to be refinished! There is absolutely no telling what the rats have gotten into! I brought a few boxes that I had clothing and some other things home and ended up with a clothes moth infestation! So if you read my review of 11-19-2023 then you know the Storage Manager Lady (I guess her name is Heather) called the cops and said I was trespassing .Well on 12-7-2023, my roommate and I went to the storage (next to Tom's Restruant) cause I pay the rent every month with my debit card. We went into the office and "Heather" said "What are you doing in MY OFFICE". YOU'RE TRESSPASSING". I told her I only came to pay the rent not go into the storage She replied, "Well I.m not going to take it". I told her, are you crazy, Ive been paying the rent for months. She said "Get out of MY OFFICE, I'M CALLING THE COPS". My roommate and I left. Not only can I not go into the storage but now I cant even pay the bill. This woman is crazy. read more

This is the second occasion I've used the East CA-18 Devon Storage...I thought maybe the first time I was just so happy to have all of my crap temporarily out of the way and in a hurry, I would have settled for anything (see my google review). I was mistaken, once again Devon Storage for the win! This time I was much more level headed and there was less perceived urgency. This time was exactly the same. Quick, responsive, professional. Heather was training Veronica today who was patient, kind and courteous, and the entire experience was once again a pleasure. The managers here are rude and so unprofessional I thinking of taking the issues a bit further with legal action. Obviously the owner doesn't read these but I will find a way to take this complaint all the way up!! (Unless he indeed knows how horrible this business is.) I came here to help my parents move and they told me how bad it was here and I didn't believe them. I won't get into the details as I am again pursuing legal action but the managers here are just horrible people!!! Here is a pic of one of the managers speeeeding!!!! And at about 40mph!!!!! I had to run and grab my daughter and when I turned to yell at this idiot to slow down my mother informs me that that is one of the managers. Well now that absolutely makes sense. I highly recommend Devon self storage. I feel that my belongings are safe and secure at all times. It is very clean and organized. I love that it is local incase I ever need to get something out of my unit. The girls in the office are so helpful and accommodating. I would give a zero if I could. I had an appointment at 930 in the morning with the Manager to sign the lease at the 22025 location and she didn't show up. I am disabled and had to carry 1 box at a time on my walker to my truck and then unload it again when I got home. Then she lied to me on top of that when she said she got there at 10:00. I was in the parking lot until 10:10. I have had bad customer service before, but this takes the cake. Not a comfortable place you want to go to store your stuff. Not blasting every location because every manager is different. This happened at the 22025 US highway 18 location. read more

Never again!!! We rented and inside unit, posted access hours are 6AM to 9:30 PM, 7 DAYS A WEEK. Saturday we went there to remove some items at 6:30 pm... the entrances to the indoor units were all padlocked, and the office was closed, no one there. Went back today Sunday, at 1:30 PM, with two trucks and a trailer loaded with furniture to store. Again... all access to the indoor units were padlocked, and the office is closed on Sunday. Honked and Honked, but no one responded. So now stuck with two loaded trucks and a trailer and no where to store my stuff. I wasn't the only one there trying to gain access. Very poor way to do business! Trust me, they will hear from me tomorrow during their office hours. Heather at Devon Storage by the Post Office in Apple Valley is the bomb. She takes alot of the moving and storage stress out with her bubbly personality and eagerness to help. I rented a unit and realized after I had it half full that it would not be big enough. Heather worked her storage magic and found me another unit super close by to my original unit. I arrived several minutes before they closed to rent a smaller unit and the representative was very nice to assist me.

This storage company is the worst place i've ever stored my possessions at hands down. After 3 months they increased my rent by 10% and now they are increasing it another 15% after a year. I'm moving my stuff out I went to my unit a couple of weeks ago and found some of my boxes had gotten wet from last season rain and the dust and dirt collection is out of control and not only that giant size rat shit pellets everywhere and have been eating at everything and I have no food stored there either. Be careful, there are black widow spiders present too. I sure the hell didn't bring them with me! I'm very lucky nothing has been seriously damaged by all mentioned as far as I know. STAY AWAY FROM DEVON STORAGE, THEY ARE A RIP-OFF!!!!!!! I'm getting my stuff out of here......HORRIBLE PLACE. I' VE BEEN DISRESPECTED BY THIS COMPANY WHO CANT FIX LEAKY ROOFS AND SEAL THE UNITS PROPERLY. Here another thing about this place, I've entered after office hours closed and there is a transient maybe 2 that live in the units because I've seen them several occasions when entering and one time waited for me to open the gate so they can get out.
