What will bring you here is the collection of Alaskan Brewing beers. Long known for the Alaskan Amber Ale, that is only one of many choices. Dependent on your tastes you have alternatives; while, pale, IPA, Kolsh, porter, and seltzer. The Class 5 Pale is excellent as is the Smoked Porter and I recommend both. When the docks are full the staff is pushed to serve all but do a good job.

Had some great drinks (and shots!) served by a wonderful bartender - I don't remember her name, but in telling us about her story, she grew up in Juneau, traveled around the country (I do remember her mentioning being in Philadelphia), and then found herself back in Juneau and at the Griz. Also met some great people at the bar - a family from Maryland who was also on the cruise and a couple from Seattle on vacation - chance meetings that added a memorable flavor to the overall experience of the Griz and Juneau. Stopping here was definitely a superb way of topping off our day and our experience in Juneau!

I have visited Juneau for business on 4 occasions my first stop is always the Narrows. So far they are the only establishment in town with an impressive gin collection.
