I primarily came for the Scotch Egg which was nicely done and well presented, though I think I would have liked it better if the egg was not quite as hard cooked. It's a great appetizer for two at a reasonable price. My husband had the Mum's Pot Roast and absolutely loved it, meat so tender and shreddable, rich gravy, perfect vegetables. I chose the wee Fish and Chips which was plenty to eat. The haddock was firm and flaky, the batter delicious, the chips (or fries to you Yanks) were golden and lightly crispy. The coleslaw very cool creamy and tasty and balanced the dish perfectly. I asked for some curry on the side to dip the chips and glad I did. We both really enjoyed our meals. I had a Smithwick's ale. They've got a pretty extensive beer selection. Service was a little on the slow side but we could see it was due to limited number of waitstaff. We were there around 3 PM. The Pub is worth a stop for some unique dishes.

We sat at the bar and Victoria's service was over the top! She was very friendly, funny, and chatty even though she was very busy and the place was hopping. One of our friends mentioned wanting to buy buckeye candies and she told us about a place across the street that sometimes carried them. A few minutes later, she came back and told us she'd called them and confirmed they were in stock! Over and above customer service. But the food...amazing as usual. I love the pub food with a German theme. Several of us had the Bratwurst Reuben and it was delicious.
