A fun stop along the bike path. The Helles beer is great!! Wish they had it all of the time. No food but do have food trucks.

The ambiance is what you come for but the food is very average. 1827. Wowza. The best part of the…read moremeal was the kid's menu chicken strips. The sauerkraut balls left a lot to be desired. They had a much different texture and taste than the ones in other parts of Ohio. The black bean soup was disappointingly thin and not very seasoned. The German potato salad is good. Food aside, I do love the ambiance here. I want to know the ghost stories. I want to know more about the history. It is so old and these walls have stories; I'm certain of it. The staff is very friendly. Parking is terrible, even at 3 PM on a Thursday. I really am torn between 3 and 4 stars, but having a great waitstaff is what bumps it up.

The "Bier Cheese" was lovingly selected from among the finest Kroger jarred cheeses, and the sliced bratwurst was unappealing and bland (Oscar Meyer is my guess). On the plus side, the curry ketchup and vegan peanut cilantro dressing were highlights. Go for the historic atmosphere and a beer and you won't be disappointed. Our server was friendly and attentive, but the time from ordering to getting our food was longer than had expected. A side was forgotten as well, but billed for it. It was taken off when we pointed that mistake out.

So first off, in my opinion, there's nothing better than a neighborhood bar with cold beer and a…read moregood burger. We met our kids in Dayton, which is about a halfway point for us each, for lunch this Saturday. We'd been wanting a good burger so I started looking for options and when I saw this place it was a no brainer. Slyders did not disappoint! The burgers are done on a flat top that's probably been in their kitchen since they opened in 1948. Talk about flavor!! The burger is good quality, tender, and full of great beef flavor, cranked out on that flat top to a crispy brown exterior. Great fresh tomato, lettuce, onion, pickles and cheese make this burger oh so good!! Add a basket of perfectly fried HUGE onion rings and a cold beer, there's nothing better!! Top top it off the service was incredible. We had 3 or 4 guys stopping by checking on drinks, napkins, ect... The energy in this bar was comfortable and you felt like you were a "regular" even if you'd never stepped in the door before in your life. With big bear hugs and handshakes we left full of great food and a warm soul. Slyders is going on my "ride for a burger" list this summer on the bikes. It'll be well worth 2hr ride to get there!! .

A unique local spot. Helpful and friendly staff. I was there around 7:00pm it was full of patrons…read more Noise is above average loud. Jukebox music, normal conversation din, plus the happy drunk at the bar shouting his words. The food was above average. The "medium-well" burger contained quality meat but was dry. Next time I would add cheese. Burger toppings were fresh - lettuce, onion, pickles. The fries were good but not great. Overall four stars.

I've been a consistent customer at McIntosh's Pub & Grub in Bellbrook, Ohio. I've never had a bad…read moreexperience nor have heard any negative feedback. At any rate, McIntosh's has a designated smoking area right by the entrance of said local Pub and Grub. After I finished a cocktail, I went to their designated smoking area. I smoked my last cigarette so I walked from McIntosh's to Dot's Market (adjacent to The Blue Berry Cafe) to purchase a pack of Winston. Without hesitation, I walked from Dots Market back to McIntosh's then my bartender Jamie handed me my tab/receipt. I paid cash for this bill but please take ONE minute to meticulously review the bartender's handwriting on the attached receipt. I'll patiently wait before writing a formal complaint coupled with an accurate account of what actually happened plus offer a fair review of McIntosh's as a whole. Respectfully, Robert Coffey

We ordered the mixed basket of mozzarella sticks/cheese balls to start and they were delicious. The marinara sauce was tangy and not something that my family liked, but the ranch was delicious. My husband ordered the cheeseburger and added fries, and though there was quite a bit of seasoning on the burger, he said that it was pretty good. My son loved the buffalo chicken sandwich, and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the buffalo chicken bites. I ordered the macho nacho for my meal and it was good and there was more than enough for one person. Overall we were very satisfied with our meals and will be back to try additional options.

The place looked very clean and has a nice photogenic look (very "white woman's instagram" coded, haha). My fiance and I left that place feeling very full and satisfied, to the point where we had a very late dinner simply because we weren't hungry after eating brunch for such a long time. My ONE complaint that takes away a star is the way I saw the front desk host being treated by, what I will assume is, either a manager or someone in a higher position than her. While I understand it can be tiring working in a resturaunt, and sometimes workers (especially younger ones, new to the field) struggle to meet expectations, the young lady that day did not need to have the F Bomb dropped at her multiple times for not handing menus out fast enough... especially in front of so many customers waiting for a table. Pull her aside and speak to her like shes another human being. Will come back, and hope to see better from the team.
