This place is kinda like a little Audiophile heaven. I purchased some speakers from them recently,…read moreupgrading from some tower speakers I purchased years ago from Best Buy. Keenan was super helpful in my selection- I told him what I was looking for, my price range, and what I had been researching. He directed me to some speakers that ticked all the boxes, and was kind enough (and patient enough) to let me sit and listen to a number of songs and pieces. They've got the big names in audio (Sonus Faber, Mofi, McIntosh, Wilson, Hegel...), and if they don't have it on the floor, they'll likely be able to order it. I've had my speakers for a few months now, and am super happy with the purchase. Their follow up is great, and Keenan is still in contact with me regarding events and sales they've got going in store. I really appreciate their after sales service.

Dane is highly knowledgeable and they have an excellent selection of high end audio and video brands that would fill even the most discriminating tastes. Whether you are looking for a WiFi single component system or a highly specialized multi component home theater installation I would recommend Sound Environment. Apparently they have been in Omaha for more than 40 or so years. Although relatively new to Kansas City they are one of the few dealers of some of the best brands in the industry. Whether you are looking to spend $1000 or $300000 on a system they have what you are looking for and the patience to explain to you the pros and cons of each component, speaker or source. Also, they delivered my components and programmed my control system with care. Great people and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a superb audio system.

I'm sorry to hear that Felix Milman is gone. He treated my wife and me with respect and care at the…read morePlaza store years ago. We purchased many $1k worth of glasses over the years. We had hoped for the same treatment when we walked into the Leawood location but instead got treated to a pair of adult toddlers more interested in judging us on our lack of Rolexes and Porsches than our need for glasses. Felix was a true gentleman and a good businessman. He saw in us people who wanted high quality glasses from a decent company at a decent price. From what I can gather, none of that exists today. I ordered 3 pairs of glasses, got no receipt for the order because we were in a hurry. Male clerk was supposed to contact me in 5 days for prescription info. 2 weeks later, I contacted him and informed him I didn't want the 3rd pair of glasses and wanted receipts for everything and wanted everything to be submitted to insurance. Male clerk seemed to be more interested in saving commission than helping me get what I needed. I emailed him my prescription and waited for confirmation of changes. Several weeks later, I get 3 pairs of glasses with none of my requested changes including the 3rd pair of glasses that I didn't need. Plus no submission to insurance, no change in prescription based on new info, and no fucking receipts for the 3rd pair of glasses I didn't even need. Don't walk. Run away from this company. Felix is no longer in charge and the company has been taken over by halfwits with delusions of adequacy. You'll encounter many fewer assholes if you just stay in your car in the parking lot and go to warbyparker.com on your phone instead.
