I'm struggling with this review because while I acknowledge there were pieces of this experience that were somewhat out of their control, they could have taken control. I placed a pickup online order for a pizza and wings. Unfortunately there's no way to see the ETA for your order until you place and pay for your order online. They quoted me 1-1.5 hours wait time, which honestly was pretty disappointing to start, but I did give my phone number so if the wait time was shorter they could have called me. I waited, arrived after an hour (the earliest my food was estimated to be ready) and walked into a dark corner of the bar where the business was supposed to be mildly concerned they closed and didn't contact me. Apparently they close at 9p, the range of time was 8:35-9:05 which should probably be fixed in the online system. They were able to find my food, brought it out after a bit of confusion, and handed me a not very warm box. I brought it home (very short drive) to see a cold pizza with congealed cheese, and cold wings. The wings were supposed to be medium buffalo traditional wings, they were totally dry. It was like someone squirt a teaspoon of buffalo sauce after the fact. The pizza crust is odd; I get what people mean when they say it's like cornmeal. It really is, and when you receive the pizza cold, it's totally inflexible. The crust is good, I like that they bring the cheese all the way to the end. I gave it 3 stars because if I had received it at a palatable temperature and the wings actually had sauce, I bet it would be a decent meal. It's just really disappointing that after $40 plus tip that was the food I received and the experience I had. I appreciate online ordering, but I doing think this business is ready for it, or at least should consider different software to prevent this happening again. read more

This is a review regarding customer service. I am not from this area and found this place on Yelp. I chose it based upon customer reviews and it's location, as it was located only a couple of miles from where I was staying. I placed an order and then used the "directions" feature on Yelp to drive to the restaurant. When I arrived I could not find the restaurant. I went to the actual website and found the address and used my map app - I discovered that the restaurant was actually located almost an hours drive from where I was. Driving two hours round trip for pizza was not something I was going to do, so I figured I would just chalk this up as a loss. About an hour later the store called me to tell me the food was ready. I explained what had happened and told them to just charge me and give the food to someone else. I mean it wasn't their fault, right? The person on the line was very gracious and understanding, explaining that the restaurant had recently moved and that the location must not have been updated on Yelp. She insisted that they would fully refund my money. Now that is the definition of customer service. I can't comment on the food, but if I'm ever in the area again I will be sure to try to stop in and thank the staff personally! read more

We tried detomaso's pizza for the first time tonight and after a hour wait it finally arrived. I thought the wait time would be a good sign/hey they are busy- people must like it. Wrong. The kids ended up with cereal for dinner. It was burned and chewy. Wouldn't recommend or even try again. Update. They send us a new pizza and fried dough to make up for their mistake. Was in town visiting and decided to stop by and try this new pizza shop out. The wings are AWESOME! I am very picky when it comes to wings but they are a must try!! We also got a pepperoni pizza and my kids devoured it within about 20 minutes!! We had to call back and order another pizza because of it!!! They even threw in a free fried dough for a special they had running that day!! The staff was very friendly and we will be making it back over Christmas time for another family pizza night! read more

I recently got to try Detomaso's pizza for the first time. Just want to start off by saying I love that it is family owned and operated. My daughter had the pizza, and despite usually not liking pizza with sauce, said it was delicious. I tried the chargrilled wings. They had a very unique flavor, being chargrilled, and were amazing. We ordered pizza for the first time last night. The cheese and the cup and Char pepperoni were very good quality. One pizza had green peppers on it which were very sparse. Curious, for a cheap ingredient. We have never had crust like this. It was dense and heavy, with more of a corn meal feel/taste to it than finely processed flour. The edges of the crust may have had Parmesan baked on top...that part was delicious. read more

The best place for pizza & wings! Not your ordinary thin crust nor Chicago style. Dough has nice flavor. Perfect amount of cheese & pepperoni. My first time for char grilled wings & recommend their citrus chipolate & garlic parmesan. Nice wing size, fried to perfection then char grilled to seal in the sauce. I love they are served in a box not Styrofoam. Stays crisp till i get them home. & you must order the Arancini Rice Balls! Ah-mazing! Highly recommend if youre in the Victor area, go here for the next night ya dont want to cook. read more

Nice surprise! Deep dish pizza was delightful -- crispy on the bottom, perfectly seasoned sauce, not doughy at all. Charming interior and great service, too! We stopped in mid afternoon to a limited slice selection, which is the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of five. read more

We were eager to try the newest addition to the Victor pizza scene & support a local business. The staff was friendly & courteous. Unfortunately we were disappointed with what we received & consider it a total waste of $30. The "authentic" dough was tough & flavorless. The "high end cheese" was rubbery & flavorless. The sauce was flavorless. Not one thumbs up from any of the five persons trying it. This 12" "specialty deep dish pizza" was/is not worth the $18 price tag. The chargrilled "large jumbo wings" are definitely not "large jumbo wings", are nothing special, & are not worth $11.50. The blue cheese dressing seemed to be whipped & mousse-like which was kind of unsavory. Much better wings for much less money can be had at the Thirsty Turtle. Turtle's "Cajun gold" grilled wings are excellent. With the many excellent pizza & wing options in Victor it will be surprising if Detomaso's lasts long with their overpriced and underwhelming food. Ordered a couple pizzas last night - strangest pie I ever had. Crust was super dense, deep dish and oily. Almost tasted like baking soda and/or baking powder were used instead of yeast. Didn't like it at all. On the bright side, the sauce was good, though more like pasta sauce than pizza sauce, the cheese was plentiful and high quality and the cup and char pepperoni was tasty. Some of the other toppings were sparse - one or two little pieces of green pepper per slice. I like thinner ny style pizza with a crispy, yeasty crust, so this wasn't my thing. When I make my own, I put carmelized onion right in the sauce with a little ground Mediterranean oregano. Probably wouldn't get pizza here again. read more

DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP! The pizza is different than your run-of-the-mill pizzeria by being deep dish and quality ingredients. The char-grilled wings are unbelievable! We crave them at our house! The Louisiana wings are the best in town by far! You won't be disappointed. read more

Pizza was incredible!!! We ordered online and had it delivered to our home and it was still nice and hot when it got here. The pizza was super cheesy which I love and seasoned incredibly.
