First, The music was WAY too loud. Like club level loud at 11:30 on a Wednesday morning. We asked them to turn it down (politely) and they barely turned down a notch if at all. We could barely hear ourselves talk without shouting at each other. The waitress was nice enough though. Polite and took our orders quickly. Food came out pretty fast and was fresh. The stand out in my meal were the freshly made tortillas (highly recommend) and the pastor taco I had. The tacos and the salsa are definitely worth coming back for (that's what gets the three stars.) if the rest of the food was at this tacos level this would have been a 4 star review easily. However, the carne asada left a lot to be desired. It was very dry and overcooked and THINLY sliced and not well seasoned. It would be worth it for Desvelados to use skirt steak instead of the paper thin slice of beef they are calling carne asada. It'll be worth the extra cost and I know the customer (myself included) would be happy to pay a little more for a higher quality, better flavored and better cooked piece of meat. The rice was also undercooked, but just barely. It was not soft and fluffy but slightly still hard and dry. Flavor was good though. Texture was not. Also, yall gotta do complimentary chips and salsa. Traditional mexican food with a creative twist with something for every preference (shrimp, different types of meat). Handmade tortillas add a very nice texture to the complex flavors. Wait time for our food after ordering was less than seven minutes. All this in addition to the friendly and efficient customer service make this place a regular spot for me. read more

This would be my fourth time coming to this location. The food is alway so delicious, cooked to perfection. Always leave satisfied. Only downer is that the service gets worse Every-time. For the way they promote this restaurant on social media I would definitely love to see more servers. I drive out of my way to come to this part of town for this place. Tacos Los Desvelados was recommended to my coworkers and I by someone so we stopped here after an event. When walking in, the server gave us menus and helped us. She wasn't necessarily the friendliest but she also wasn't rude. In all honesty the food wasn't my favorite but my team seemed to like it. They got tacos and I got flautas de carnitas. The carnitas was pretty dry and plain but all the sauces on the outside gave it more flavor. The cheese sauce was not the greatest in my opinion. Kind of like a nacho sauce. They also came on a bed of lettuce and nacho cheese sauce so will 100% be getting it with no cheese if I return. Inside, they are BLASTING Spanish music. You can barely hear yourself think.
