Wow. I had a very large pine limb that broke off during a windstorm, damaging two fences and going across my backyard. Decided to take out the whole 30+ y.o. tree, very tall and close to the house and my neighbor's fence and shed. The estimate was right where I thought it would be. Marvin and his team showed up on time, together and ready to work. 8 crewmembers, two buckets, two dump trucks, two chipper shredders and a forklift. We had 3 trees removed (with strumps ground) and a large oak tree trimmed by Destiny's Tree Service and I highly recommend them. They were professional, polite, and easy to communicate with. Someone answered the phone every time I called and everyone (from the scheduler to the crew members) was friendly. With a certified arborist conducting the estimate and the crew using a variety of tools for each aspect of the job (from ropes and ladders to a bucket truck), you can be sure they are qualified and equipped to do the job. They don't climb trees using spikes! They are also licensed and insured. There was a minor miscommunication about the scope of work and I wasn't home at the conclusion of the project to see it. But one phone call was all it took and they came right back out and fixed it up. After each visit, they left the property cleaner than it was when they arrived. The branches were overhanging the Verizon lines, so they used a crane to take it out. Everyone was very professional and the job went far easier than I could have imagined. Eddie came out and gave me an estimate to remove a 30" tall dead tree on our property. He left and said to call him whenever I wanted the work done. We decided to have them do the work and I called his office number and a lady said someone would call me back to set-up a time to have the work done; never heard back from anyone. Then I called Eddie on his cell and left a message on his voice message that we wanted them to do the work; he never returned my call and this was about a month ago. I shouldn't have to call multiple times in order to give them business. So unprofessional for a company to waste someone's time by having them stay home from work to meet the estimator and then refuse to return the customer's calls whey they are trying to give them the business. Would not recommend this company to anyone needing tree service or they may end up wasting your time like they did mine. read more

Our experience was very positive. Quick turnaround on initial phone call, quick timeline on appointment for estimate. There was 30 minute delay on estimators appt, but it was client related. We got 3 estimates and Destiny's was competitive. Quotes from some yahoos out Culpper way were more expensive and less professional. The turnaround on actual job was only two days. 5 crew, 2 big trucks & a chipper showed up earlier than expected. They took down a huge limb off our 60 foot silver maple. Done in 90 minutes. This is a top quality tree service. Marvin came immediately after a large limb fell and gave a fair estimate for that tree and another that threatened our home. The crew came promptly the next day to begin the work. Very professional. Used a bucket truck for one of the trees and an experienced climber for the other. Both trees were cut to the ground line and everything was hauled away with no left over debris. They work very efficiently and are extremely well mannered. Also a great office staff. We hired these guys to evaluate our property and do tree trimming. They have a professional arborist who is excellent. He could tell that the previous owner had spread a disease to all of our bushes by trimming one infected bush and then using the same trimmer and spreading the disease down the line. He predicted what would happen over time to our bushes, and it happened exactly as he stated. He took the time to tell me the name of every tree and bush species on the property, and recommendations for which species would thrive best in which locations even though they don't do tree planting. The tree trimmers that came were excellent, highly professional, fast, and they did an excellent job. They did exactly what I asked for, which was to leave as much tree as possible intact while trimming back. Other companies would not offer this - they told me they would just cut down huge swaths of large branches which we believe would be ugly and probably harmful to the tree. These guys really listened to me. Then, they cleaned up after and left it much cleaner than it was previously. They even did leaf blowing which was above and beyond the contract. They left it cleaner than they found it. I highly recommend these guys. read more
