My cohort was not informed about the new semester start date, the class days, or whether classes would be online, hybrid, or in person. Nothing. We are a few days into the 3rd semester, received the schedule the day of. If I had not woken up early on Monday to log in to Moodle, I would have missed the first day of class, since they did not inform us of anything. I sent emails to Heather Benevento (Director of Admissions) and Tammy Latu (Executive Director) with no reply. It took me sending a follow-up email for Heather to reply and say that I would hear back by the end of the day from either of them. Of course, to no surprise, I did not receive an email. Whenever I call the campus, my calls go unanswered. I leave messages, and they are not returned. They use the excuse that it's a new campus and ask us to give them some grace, but if you are late on a tuition payment, late to class, or miss a day, they will make sure you face the consequences ASAP. Turns out the schedule we were given for the semester is not even accurate. Our professor had to inform us today that our lab day is canceled because the school doesn't have the supplies (shocker!). And now we will have lab on a day we were told there was no class. What about those of us who have jobs? Doctor's appointments? Job interviews? This school expects you to form your life around them and only cares about getting their money and nothing else.

Having had the privilege of traveling back and fourth to CLU for the past 11 years watching CM achieve his Bachelor's and a Master's, and AM having earned his BA with a masters in cyber security and is about to achive a second Master's degree, the prospect of looking for a new university for them to pursue a PhD is daunting; because we are all involved so deeply at Cal Lutheran. BEST CPR class I have ever taken... I needed to get my…read moreAmerican Heart Association BLS CPR certification and saw this place on the AHA website. I reserved a spot on the AHA website (it was not located in this place's website for some reason) and then called to confirm my seat. The instructor asked if I could actually join a class THAT day which was awesome because I needed it ASAP. I give 4 stars because the building is down some creepy road that was super hard to find, I kept U-turning down van buren because there is no road sign to mark it. On the phone her accent made me think she said it was behind a "castle" but after I did a circle I realized it's behind a "car shop". The building looked super creepy from the outside and I had no idea where to park cause there was a bunch of closed fences, but I called the instructor and she reassured me she was on her way to open it up. So once i got past all the creepy building stuff and the 30min late start, Dr. Edith Amadi was a GREAT teacher. Like since my teacher in high school I have never seen someone care so much about CPR. She has been a nurse for a really long time and emphasized how important it is that we care about doing it right so that we don't kill someone on accident (like make sure their pulse is actually gone before doing CPR). She made sure she explained every part thoroughly and watched us to see that we actually were practicing the CPR correctly (in the past I have seen other instructors not care AT all about if you actually learned it). I learned the information so well that I only missed 1 question on the exam. I feel much more prepared to do do CPR now than I have after any other classes in the past. Wow wow wow! And it wasn't boring, thank you for not making it boring! I know they have CNA classes and are working on an LPN program as well. Cal prep will give places list of local to you to apply for a job to get these hours if you don't have them. in order to qualify for method 2,3,4 or 5 etc. I had attended an RN program that I did not finish but have transcripts.
