This school is marketed as one of the "best," but that couldn't be further from the truth. From the lack of professionalism to the complete disregard for students' time and money, Stanbridge has proven to be nothing short of a scam. My wife was scammed out of thousands of dollars in tuition, and when she submitted an appeal for a class she barely missed passing--by just 0.5 of a grade--they denied it without consideration. No real explanation, no empathy, just a cold "no." The appeal process is a joke. The people in charge clearly don't care about students or the money they're investing into this program. Appeals aren't taken seriously at all, and there's no transparency in how decisions are made. The office staff? Absolutely no help. Every time she reached out for assistance, it was either a vague response or being passed around from one unhelpful person to the next. The professors are no better--some of them literally hand out test answers and then still find ways to penalize students unfairly. They even dock students on attendance after telling them they could leave. How is that even remotely fair? The financial aid office is another nightmare. They're quick to take your money but completely useless when you need actual help. My wife was given instructions on how to get assistance, but the help offered was generic, dismissive, and ultimately pointless. Stanbridge University paints itself as a top-tier institution, but behind that façade is a money-hungry operation with little to no regard for student success or well-being. If you're considering this school, think twice. You're not just risking your education--you're risking your time, mental health, and a serious amount of money.

Worked there for a year and then got a position for the county. I believe that my experience here helped me to have a foot in the door with each of these places, so when this is you I highly recommend showing them they need you. Always ask to help and never be afraid to try something new and NEVER tell them no (within reason). Also treat others kindly and offer to help outside your scope of work, I helped receptionists and kennel attendants all the time. I was even the Sunday person who took care of the entire hospital when staff was gone (to include power washing the external areas and sweeping/mopping). Be empathetic. These patients don't have a voice, you need to be that for them. I will also say that no matter what you think of the shelter, put those ideas aside. It was the best place I've worked, they do everything they possibly can to help those in need and get every animal into a home. This is just an update for students in the program. Work hard, don't engage in drama, soon this phase of life will pass and you'll be in your career field. If anyone has any questions please let me know.

When going into this school you have to take a basic math test, but you have to call in before you take the test and they only allow 4 students a day to take the test, 2 in the evening and 2 in the morning for the day. Then you have to write an essay and Mark encouraged me to write a sob story to encourage the higher ups to choose me to attend the school, which was strange. I got a text asking if I want to go to the school and after looking at A reading the school is a 2.4 star Yelp, and a lot of the reviews are really bad. I declined the offer via text and I thought that was done and that was a month ago. Today I got a call from Mark asking if I made a decision on which school I was going to which I felt odd and I already responded and declined attend attending Platt, I let him know that I wasn't interested due to the school having really low ratings and that I found the testing system of only 11 for students a day and inconvenience. Mark then started to rebuttal with me, I then try to get off the phone, but before I could say, thank you for the offer he hung up on me. All of the reviews are about staff behavior and I got first hand on how the staff treat students. AVOID THIS SCHOOL!

Every year its the same, predictable even. Yet most complaints are just gripes about how their experience was "tough" because nobody helped them personally, welcome to the real world. You look out for yourself. You will have to be the squeaky wheel to get the grease. Ask lots of questions and don't be afraid to rattle some cages. Afterall the people who work at RCC are just people, forget attitudes and personal feelings towards the staff. Remember you're there for a personal goal and that should be your focus. If one counselor is not helpful go to another one. If you don't like the way your degree is shaping out, change it. Don't be a complainer who does nothing about it. RCC is great, really people don't hesitate to ask your professors questions, they are for the most part really down to earth people trying to make a difference. I reserved a spot on the AHA website (it was not located in this place's website for some reason) and then called to confirm my seat. The instructor asked if I could actually join a class THAT day which was awesome because I needed it ASAP. I give 4 stars because the building is down some creepy road that was super hard to find, I kept U-turning down van buren because there is no road sign to mark it. On the phone her accent made me think she said it was behind a "castle" but after I did a circle I realized it's behind a "car shop". The building looked super creepy from the outside and I had no idea where to park cause there was a bunch of closed fences, but I called the instructor and she reassured me she was on her way to open it up. So once i got past all the creepy building stuff and the 30min late start, Dr. Edith Amadi was a GREAT teacher. Like since my teacher in high school I have never seen someone care so much about CPR. She has been a nurse for a really long time and emphasized how important it is that we care about doing it right so that we don't kill someone on accident (like make sure their pulse is actually gone before doing CPR). She made sure she explained every part thoroughly and watched us to see that we actually were practicing the CPR correctly (in the past I have seen other instructors not care AT all about if you actually learned it). I learned the information so well that I only missed 1 question on the exam. I feel much more prepared to do do CPR now than I have after any other classes in the past. Wow wow wow! And it wasn't boring, thank you for not making it boring! I know they have CNA classes and are working on an LPN program as well.
