"Brought my 2018 Softail Slim (14k miles, Vance & Hines exhaust) in for an appraisal. The bike is clean, minus a minor 1-inch tank dent. The buying team offered a predatory $3,500 outright purchase figure--nearly $6,000 below wholesale book value. They claimed the low number was because they have to do new tires, a regular maintenance service, and fix the dent before listing it. While I understand dealerships face reconditioning costs and need a profit margin, those standard wear-and-tear items total around $1,500 at dealer cost--they do not justify wiping out $6,000+ of a bike's equity. Attempting to take a $7,000+ spread on a low-mileage Milwaukee-Eight cruiser is unacceptable. They clearly target people they hope are desperate for fast cash. Walked out immediately. I have personally seen him send a trailer to pick up one bike with a tire puncture halfway to Portland and another when the rider injured her foot and could not continue the ride. Ed's support for his HOG Chapter is unparalleled. A few years ago, I made the mistake of purchasing my current bike from a larger dealership closer to Seattle. It was an intensely high pressure experience which I tried to walk away from at least three times and left with a huge weight of buyer's remorse. When I recently became interested in upgrading to a newer model, I met with John and Nicki in sales and was shocked by their patience and interest in what was right for me. We concluded that the time was not right for me financially and I was thanked for my time and giving them the opportunity. When I do upgrade in a year or two, I wouldn't think of going anywhere else! I had a buyer's inspection done for 2015 Fatboy at the Tacoma location. Since I didn't have a chance to ride before purchase, I made sure it will be ridden by technician, asked two separate times. The inspection didn't find any thing except little smear of engine oil at rocker box and I purchased the bike on the day. Upon ridding back home, I noticed the clutch was extremely tight without any slack and it was very difficult to find neutral gear. The ride back home was unusually difficult since the clutch engaged at the last ~3/8 inch before full release all at once, that made me wonder if technician rode the bike. I adjusted the clutch cable at home. Also found the transmission oil was little short. After filling in, the difficulties in finding neutral gear was resolved. Also discovered the Left turn indicator and high beam lamp on bezel was not working while the L-turn signal and high beam were working normally. I need to order the module ( P/N 68112-99A) and to Install myself. All these could have been paid by the seller if the inspection caught issues and Destination Harley could have the job. In my previous service in July 2021 when I changed the front and rear tires on 2004 Deuce, they didn't advise me of the rear brake nearly worn out. This, I would normally expect from any mechanic/service. These are my two experiences out of three services2015 , dealing with Destination Harley. The request to call back and E-mail of complaint was not returned as of 11 days after. read more

I bought a road king here last year. They were hard to find, but destination Harley had several. Salesman was great. Funny, knowledgeable, not pushy. Then I made my way back to the office. Harley financial charged me over %10 to purchase a loan. Beware, bring your own backing or suddenly a $25k bike turns into a $35k bike. Aside from this, Destination Harley has a confusing rewards points system. They promise rewards points for purchases, etc. That's great. I spent twenty five thousand dollars at their store + another $1000 on led lights that day. I return to buy a generic back rest for the lady- they want over $300 for just the backrest, no mount! I ask, " Do I have any points available?" The response, "No... looks like you were never entered into the system." Long story short- Thanks for the bike, but nothing else. read more
