I am a very local customer of this dealership. The dealership owner Ed Wallace JR is a fantastic guy and his salesman Jon was a delight to work with today as I traded up to a lighter and faster cruiser bike. The entire staff obviously love what they do and they make the entire experience a delight. read more

Purchased another bike from this group. Ed Jr. is running a great crew and the best I've seen, hence returning to buy another bike and this time I had them build it. Bryan in the service has the bike running like a beast. Al is second to none with his knowledge and experience getting me all the right and hard to find parts. Great place and have recommended at least 9 people who have purchased bikes from there. read more

"Brought my 2018 Softail Slim (14k miles, Vance & Hines exhaust) in for an appraisal. The bike is clean, minus a minor 1-inch tank dent. The buying team offered a predatory $3,500 outright purchase figure--nearly $6,000 below wholesale book value. They claimed the low number was because they have to do new tires, a regular maintenance service, and fix the dent before listing it. While I understand dealerships face reconditioning costs and need a profit margin, those standard wear-and-tear items total around $1,500 at dealer cost--they do not justify wiping out $6,000+ of a bike's equity. Attempting to take a $7,000+ spread on a low-mileage Milwaukee-Eight cruiser is unacceptable. They clearly target people they hope are desperate for fast cash. Walked out immediately. If I could leave no stars I would as even one star is generous (maybe for the water they offered me). Forewarning to new buyers and riders looking to sell/trade, consider passing on Grit City." read more

Bought my first Harley here. Amazing people.. amazing dealership... all around best Harley Dealership in the PNW. Great selection of merchandise anywhere!!! read more

This is hands-down the best Harley Davidson dealership in the PNW. Ed, the owner, is a genuinely good guy. When he gives out his personal phone number to every customer and tells them to call if they need anything he really means it. I have personally seen him send a trailer to pick up one bike with a tire puncture halfway to Portland and another when the rider injured her foot and could not continue the ride. Ed's support for his HOG Chapter is unparalleled. A few years ago, I made the mistake of purchasing my current bike from a larger dealership closer to Seattle. It was an intensely high pressure experience which I tried to walk away from at least three times and left with a huge weight of buyer's remorse. When I recently became interested in upgrading to a newer model, I met with John and Nicki in sales and was shocked by their patience and interest in what was right for me. We concluded that the time was not right for me financially and I was thanked for my time and giving them the opportunity. When I do upgrade in a year or two, I wouldn't think of going anywhere else! Every single person who works here is a pleasure to work with. Alan in parts has a well earned reputation for patiently and methodically fitting bikes to riders and making sure people have every single nut, bolt, adapter etc. they might need for the job. Jelly in motorclothes makes me feel like a celebrity and brightens my day every time I walk in. read more

My first visit to Grit and everyone was very helpful. Huge shout out to Shawna who worked hard for me. I will be back!!!!!

Best experience I've ever had and not only in a Harley dealership but any motorcycle dealership is at Destination Harley. From the owner down to the guys who wash the bikes out back. Every aspect of Destination Harley is a notch above the rest. I've been spending my time around this dealership for the past 33 years and it's been nothing but a pleasure. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. It's comforting knowing my bike is being worked on by techs with so many years of experience. They've been around the block more than a few times and they know how to wrench on a Harley. The sales team isn't just "let me sell you a bike" friendly. They are genuine nice folks who want you to have a good experience, whether of that just a drop by to say hello and browse the new clothing in stock or to purchase your next ride. I don't see myself ever taking my business elsewhere. Can't say enough great things about them. If life's a road then Destination Harley is the place to go to start really living it. read more

My sweetheart is GiGi, she's a '22 TGU that I called Grey Ghost upon sight! That's been about 23k mi ago. Got her in Dec 22. Oh yeah, remember weird.....did a little trip in May 2023 called Run For The Wall. That's where ya head down to Ontario CA join up with some other Vets and supporters and HEAD EAST!! No not the band....there's 3 routes across these beautiful lower 48, chose Central route cuz it passed through my hometown area. Platoon 12 got a ol' Sailor a spot as the tailgunner for Plt 12 and off we went! Thanks to Destination for my GiGi and the professionalism behind the label!! Yes, GiGi has had work/maint done by my dealer. they even came and got her AND brought her back!! I live WEST of Port Angeles....it's about a 120 mi trip one way to Tacoma. I have a circle drive that every driver has appreciated, it's gravel but I grew up on a farm and no how to prune crappy limbs outta the way! read more

We recently purchased a bike from Destination Harley Davidson Tacoma and had it shipped all the way to Paradise Valley, Arizona. From start to finish, the experience was seamless. Ed made sure every detail was handled; he kept us informed throughout the process and the bike arrived exactly as promised. What stood out most was the level of personal attention. This wasn't a transaction where we felt like just another sale. Ed genuinely cared about getting us the right bike and making sure we were taken care of, even from 1,400 miles away. That kind of dedication is rare these days. If you're looking for a dealership that actually delivers on customer service--literally and figuratively--Destination Harley Davidson Tacoma is worth the call, no matter where you're located. read more

Destination Harley-Davidson can't be beat! I was running errands and saw a cool custom Road King parked and it got me thinking...I called Ed and told him what I thought I wanted. Having never owned a Harley, I was full of questions. Ed walked me through the many options and choices to achieve my dream build. Before long, my custom Road-King Special was delivered to my home in Arizona. The bike puts a smile on my face every time I walk into the garage or take it for a ride around town. Ed and his team, from the business side to the mechanics who built my dream, delivered on all aspects. 10 out of 10 experience. I may not live in Washington State but Destination Harley-Davidson is my dealership, period. read more

Destination Harley Davidson in Tacoma, Washington is first class. My husband and I have purchased 4 Harley Davidson motorcycles from this dealership. Ed Wallace, Jr. runs a very professional yet family oriented store. From the sales department with Nikki, Jaden and John, to apparel with Judy, Anjelica and Penelope, (who always have a great big "Welcome in!") to the parts department with Al and Cooper. Everyone is so helpful and most of all friendly. My first "big" ride was back down to the dealership from Key Peninsula. I was met with cheers, good job and hugs. They knew I was a nervous first time motorcycle rider and were ALL so encouraging. Where do you find that these days?? I know I could call Ed if I had a problem with my bike and he wouldn't hesitate to come and pick it up. Destination Harley has our business always. read more

Great folks! Love all the cute clothes in the motor clothes dept! Everyone is so helpful!

We have been customers for Destination Harley Davidson for almost 10 years. We have purchased four trikes and accessories, parts, clothes and service. Every experience has been exceptional! When we purchased our CVO trike, the service dept worked diligently to remove all of the accessories from our last trike to the new one. When we have been traveling out of state and had mechanical issues with a bike, Ed Wallace, our dealer has been incredibly helpful in getting us assistance through other dealerships. We highly recommend Destination Harley Davidson and I know when we decide to buy another trike, it will be at the dealership! read more

I had a buyer's inspection done for 2015 Fatboy at the Tacoma location. Since I didn't have a chance to ride before purchase, I made sure it will be ridden by technician, asked two separate times. The inspection didn't find any thing except little smear of engine oil at rocker box and I purchased the bike on the day. Upon ridding back home, I noticed the clutch was extremely tight without any slack and it was very difficult to find neutral gear. The ride back home was unusually difficult since the clutch engaged at the last ~3/8 inch before full release all at once, that made me wonder if technician rode the bike. I adjusted the clutch cable at home. Also found the transmission oil was little short. After filling in, the difficulties in finding neutral gear was resolved. Also discovered the Left turn indicator and high beam lamp on bezel was not working while the L-turn signal and high beam were working normally. I need to order the module ( P/N 68112-99A) and to Install myself. All these could have been paid by the seller if the inspection caught issues and Destination Harley could have the job. In my previous service in July 2021 when I changed the front and rear tires on 2004 Deuce, they didn't advise me of the rear brake nearly worn out. This, I would normally expect from any mechanic/service. These are my two experiences out of three services2015 , dealing with Destination Harley. The request to call back and E-mail of complaint was not returned as of 11 days after. read more

The incompetence of the parts department is astonishing. If you're looking for anything remotely similar to expert advice, do yourself and your wallet a favor and don't. You could pick a contact in your phone at random, ask them instead of the two feet and a heartbeat behind the counter and your odds for success will be exponentially higher. read more

When you approach a dealership ready to spend money and are ignored.... That's a problem Asked a direst question: how much cash out the door for a specific bike and sales man said I'll call you back in 10 min..... 2 hours later no call. This review is for the parts department, as I haven't dealt with sales or service before. I had to find some battery stand-off spacers since I had one fly away from me in the garage, They searched the parts catalog, found that Harley doesn't make them anymore, then searched their desks and found something I could use, and for a price that can't be beat! They did this all in a friendly and professional manner. It's nice to know you can still get good customer service! Bottom line is, I have a Harley. This place is a half mile from my home. Guess where I'll do business from now on? read more

I bought a road king here last year. They were hard to find, but destination Harley had several. Salesman was great. Funny, knowledgeable, not pushy. Then I made my way back to the office. Harley financial charged me over %10 to purchase a loan. Beware, bring your own backing or suddenly a $25k bike turns into a $35k bike. Aside from this, Destination Harley has a confusing rewards points system. They promise rewards points for purchases, etc. That's great. I spent twenty five thousand dollars at their store + another $1000 on led lights that day. I return to buy a generic back rest for the lady- they want over $300 for just the backrest, no mount! I ask, " Do I have any points available?" The response, "No... looks like you were never entered into the system." Long story short- Thanks for the bike, but nothing else. read more

I called to replace 2 tires only, as I can provide them and the estimate came at $320. They estimate 1 hr per tire . I will admit I'm not the most avid Harley Davidson geek but I have been to a few Harley Davidson stores over the years with family and I have to admit not all of them are created equal. This particular store though is one of the best ones that I have been to with a wide selection of clothing.... much of it leather of very good quality and of course motorcycles for sale which were very impressive. This Harley Davidson has a restaurant located inside, Lizzie Lou's Two to make the visit at this Harley Davidson store more of a fun, exciting experience. read more
