Another great experience at NW Harley-davidson! I got a new bike, 2007 Ultra classic, and it needed a tune up. Got a PV tuner and put her on the Dyno. Almost a 25% increase in performance. Crystal in service was amazing. I had no info on the bikes upgrades or parts put on in the past. Crystal, with her exceptional customer service and professionalism, chaced down the info and got us squared away. Can not recommend NWHD enough! Thanks Team!

Found the speedometer sensor with a 30 second search on the inter web.

So just called Northwest Harley Davidson where I bought my 03' Road King a couple years back to schedule a service (speedometer not working and I wanted an oil change as well) and was told by service department that "because it's the 'busy season' we aren't working on anything older than an 2004' right now". You just lost a customer FOREVER. I've bought two motorbikes from this dealership. Clearly you no longer value me as a customer. UPDATE: Re response below. It literally took me (an amateur) about ten minutes of research to figure out its one of two sensors. As far as ordering parts, that's really a poor excuse. Instead of just dismissing someone on the phone because it's "busy season", you could educate your employees that a bike might have to be held for a while and let the customer make the decision instead of merely stating "it's our policy" not to work on older bikes. A customer is a customer. As far as space, you have no issue storing bikes for deployed service folks or for customers during "winter months" and actively solicit customers to store their bikes with you during other seasons, the "space issue" is again a specious excuse. 2-8 weeks for parts? I found one in 30 seconds on the Internet. I'm not a Harley mechanic. The fact you even responded underscores my point that it's really just about the money and not the customer. AAAAAAND the excuses continue. "Trusted partners". Keep digging that hole deeper, Kyler. The truth is tearing its ugly head. You are damaging your business with each new excuse and attempting (but failing) to save face. Do you even have a clue that your "trusted partners" get their parts from the same manufacturer? They are just rebranded. A basic internet search would reveal this. And like a car part, you can get bad parts from any manufacturer. I've had bad alternators, batteries, etc on my autos over the years.

I had the opportunity to buy a Harley from NW Harley Davidson this week. Everyone was so nice and very on top of it when it came to helping me. The main person I dealt with was Joe Geraci who was with me every step of the way. Through texting and keeping me updated, to sending me pictures of bikes and knowing what I was looking for and even follow-up check ins after I bought my bike. I will continue to reach out to Joe if I have any questions or concerns because I know they will be addressed and in a timely manner. Thank you so much, to all of you, for making my day so special when I came to ride my bike into the sunset. It was such a cool feeling and if it weren't for the mask you would have seen the grin that was on my face the whole time! Now lets ride!!

Through months of consideration, research, and riding thousands of miles I recently pulled the trigger on a 2020 Ultra Limited (Black and River Rock Gray). My experience with Joe Geraci was not only professional but painless. Being a professional myself I usually dread dealing with the purchase of a new vehicle due to my intolerance of sales depts which many times has lead to me hurting their feelings. Not this time. Joe was a pleasure not just because of our correspondence prior to and leading up to my visit but also his ethics and honesty during the transaction and process of purchase. I would highly recommend Northwest Harley and definitely Joe Geraci.

    Burn Out Contest

Disclaimer: I don't ride bikes other than a Schwinn. I went here to photograph the Burn Out Contest today and was I impressed!! My first time here. A huge selection of bikes, used and new. Tons of parts, clothes, related stuff. Today, as part of the Burn Out Contest, a beer garden, tacos (Thanks O'Blarney's Irish Pub), live music. My sense is this is a very well run business and if the crowd and buzz are correct, my sense is confirmed. Were I to upgrade from my 1959 Schwinn Corvette to a Harley, I'd shop and hang out here!

Came in to kick some tires on a random Saturday. Greg took care of me and I walked out with the dyna I've been wanting all year. The team at NW Harley made it too easy not to.

And since it wasn't on a common route of mine it would slip from my memory so I wanted to make sure we paid a visit as long we were remembering it. They also had a location in Auburn but that location has since closed. Steve likes leather a little bit more than I do but I still found some great jackets, shoes, boots, belts and rings here. And of course the t shirt section is always a draw for me. The place is super friendly and they had cookies and hot coffee at the front door and offered us to have some. How could we decline? Steve got a small bag here for some of his leather gear to place in and is quite pleased with it. I didn't get anything... yet but knowing how I operate I often need to ponder on something before making a purchase. Some of the jackets are at reasonable prices especially since they are leather and there seemed to be lots of sales but I am not sure if that is because it's near the holiday season or if it's always like that. I definitely want to go back and probably get a ring and a belt and browse some more as there is a lot to take in here. There are some beautiful motorcycles on display here also. I really liked Eagle Leather and once the holiday season settles down probably pay another visit.

But most experiences I have had with Cycle Gear have been weird/awkward or just outright bad. I want to make it clear that I actually kind of like most of the employees at this location and the one in Auburn as people. But the fact is that they do not stand behind their product and are not knowledgeable enough to help you when you have an issue with one of their products. When I bought the motorcycle pictured in my Yelp profile picture I was a new, ignorant rider. Thankfully I haven't crashed it yet. My first experience with this Cycle Gear went as follows: I had just bought my bike and got signed up for the Permit level testing. I came in already decided on the helmet I wanted, the Bell Broozer. It looks nice and has the basic DOT cert and is ECE certified, and was cheaper than a lot of others. I was intending to upgrade after I finished my parking lot testing, which I did. When I brought the helmet up to the counter to pay for it, happy, a stupid grin on my face because I was so excited to ace my test, a female worker asked me what seemed like an innocuous question. She said "Oh are you planning to be a daily rider"? I replied yes, my bike is going to be my main form of transport. She then told me straight up that I don't want the helmet because it is going to be loud, and that I'd essentially be stupid if I got this helmet for daily riding. She, without even asking if I'd want a rec, put a like 600 dollar helmet on the counter and said this is what I actually want. I replied that this is only going to be for my testing, and that I'd upgrade in the future, and that I am a grown man, I don't need other people to offer me unsolicited pointers to me on the gear or bike or whatever I decide to buy for myself. She then acted like I was the rude one. I paid for the helmet and walked out. Weirded me out. It was just unprofessional. After I passed my permit level testing I came in to buy some gear. Jackets, boots, riding pants, etc. I already knew what exactly I wanted. One of the male workers literally tailed me the whole time, asking me every five minutes if I'm good and if I need any rec on what to get. I said no every time, that I already knew what I wanted. I ended up spending about 500 bones on gear that day. Here is the huge kicker. For Christmas my girlfriend's mom got me a cycle gear gift card to try to support me on a bike. So cool! I knew I wanted some bar end mirrors so I came in. I was really ignorant about mirror installation and quality so I asked the worker to rec the best pair of bar end mirrors they have. He sold me some Speedmetal bar end mirrors. I paid about 30 or 40 dollars after the gift card was used up. Now on this bike there is a weight on the inside of the handlebars that you need to get out. I came in a few times to ask for pointers or the best way to get the weights out. These times are the only times I had a nice, chill experience in the store. The guys came out a few times, gave me some pointers. My girlfriend and I ended up getting the weights out cleanly thanks to their pointers. These days where they helped me is the only reason this review is a 2 star as opposed to a 1 star. Also when they helped me pick out a quadlock. I pop the mirrors in (no instructions btw), eventually got them torqued up well, and everything. When I'm on the highway I notice that no matter how I install the mirrors, they always fold in and vibrate at highway speeds. I looked up the mirrors on their website to see if anyone else is having issues with this. Here is an example: "These mirrors look great... however, these mirrors require frequent readjustment following... high speed, which requires me to take my eyes off of the road way too often." I'd post more but I don't want to hit the character limit. I went to go return them at the Auburn location since I was in the area already. The manager tries to install them and it seems he gets them on good. He ensures me that I don't need to refund the product. I trust his work and take my bike on the highway home. I should have trusted myself instead. The mirror pops off as I exit the highway, hits the ground and breaks. Oh my God. Now I have to search for it, run into the street and scoop it up. I call the Tac location and say that one of the employees at the Auburn CG installed these mirrors and they popped off on the highway and I need to exchange them. Says bring them in but and I quote "no promises". No promises to exchange out the product on my bike I must have to be legal that an employee installed? Insane. The replacement was incorrectly machined for the ball bearing. Had to get another replacement. Still had the same issues. Today I go over a bump at 5-10mph and the stem breaks. I'm just done. I will attach pictures w more detail. Hitting char limit.

Their installation instructions clearly state that if you plug in their ODB2 connector and hear the ECU making noise to unplug it immediately, the pin in the connector is bent in going in the wrong hole. Low and behold I plugged it in and the ECU started screaming. I unplugged the cable and the pin was straight. Plugged it in again, same thing, ended up frying my regulator/rectifier. I called cyclops and they insisted the pin was bent and going in the wrong hole. I sent them picture showing them the pin was straight, and they still refused to believe it wasn't my fault. I took the bike to someone else who did the same thing with the same results. They also called cyclops and were told they were bending the pin and installing it wrong. We have removed their pin from the cylcops harness and plugged it directly into the corresponding hole on the bike side and the ecu still screams. The pin is going in the right hole and still does not work properly. Every time they told me I was doing it wrong for two weeks, I would try again, and again the ecu would scream. Something is wrong with their harness and their ignorance and arrogance have damaged my bike. It now throws error cods and drains the battery. I even offered to send these crooks a video showing the pin going in to the wrong hole but they didn't want to see it. They know they screwed up, they just have zero integrity. Cyclop's response after I just requested a working harness? They said see you in court. They suck.
