Never seen prices so CRAZY BONKERS no recommend they barely have stock what they show online

I had a decent experience here. Took in my Kymco 150 quad for repair (wasn't running) and also asked for an oil change. I was told they only do a "complete service" but didn't explain what that meant exactly. What it means is they will just replace anything they think needs replacing and charge you for it. I had already ordered a new battery for the quad (it's not even here yet) but they replaced it ($69.99) without asking me first - just did it. Fortunately I was able to cancel the new battery order. Note that the old battery worked just fine - just after a few days would run flat if not on a trickle charger - the day I took it in it was FULLY charged. But just seems that a phone call would have been in order before just nailing me for $69 without even so much as a question. NO ONE called with an estimate (total was $841 before tax). They just texted that it was done. I don't like that - I had asked for and expected a phone call with an estimate and explanation of what was needed. The work done seems excellent though - and the ATV runs better than it has in the 10 months I've owned it. This would have been a 5-star review except for the fact they never called with an estimate (as requested) and replaced the battery without asking me first (since I had a new one already on order). The pictures and adds on Google are extremely deceiving. Showed up with high expectations. I was looking for a 150cc scooter I had 2 to choose from. I would not call that the "largest selection" available. The shock and disappointment with choices changed my want for a scooter. Prices are about $800 less than a Honda, or Yamaha with the same specs. For my money I will save up another $800 and buy a Honda Pcx 150. read more

The owner is friendly, knowledgeable, and asks the right questions to get your kids on a bike that fit them perfectly. They keep replacement parts in stock, and have service available if you're not mechanically inclined. He will special order any extras wanted for the bikes/quads. We have recommended the shop to many friends/family and will continue to go there as the kids grow. read more

My friend brought in his scooter - Just looking for a beach cruiser. Bought it second hand and it didn't run. He took it to Max-MPG and the receipt order said "Make run" and he did. He shoots straight and does great work. They were the only people we found that were willing to work on the scooter. We drove in from Seattle to get to this guy. He even handed my friend a document on how to winterize for when the rains come so he will have a working scooter next spring. I would come back to get my bike serviced here. read more

The worst shop I have ever been to. I just recently bought a 2015 FZ-07 and it ran perfectly. I brought my bike in just to have some new tires put on it and when my bike was returned to me I had no rear brake. When I brought it back they claimed that my rear master cylinder was blown. Now I had it checked by another shop afterwards and it indeed was blown. But it was not blown when I brought my bike to them. Greg was rude and disrespectful, constantly talking over me and not owning up to there mistake. When I asked if I would have to pay for the repair and labor of the blown cylinder his exact words were "fuck ya you do". Who talks like that to a customer? Especially right after you damage there new bike. While I was there I also witnessed Greg drop a bike onto the ground and scuff it up, 30 mins later a customer shows up there to pick up that bike and Greg said nothing to him about it being dropped. Bottom line please take my word and do not go to this shop. They r unprofessional, shady, and disrespectful. read more

Came in today to buy 3 bikes for our kids. Owner brought out a bike to show us. He started it but then had to walk away and deal with 2 people who had literally bought bikes from him an hour ago and they pulled up in a truck with them on a trailer because one would not start. The customer said "Hey this bike won't start"! (he was obviously irritated and with Greg, the owner, already). Greg yelled back to the buyer "I will start it and then you can leave" (Very rudely) That was our first red flag..So the bike that Greg's wife was showing my husband died and my husband went to touch it to test compression and she snapped at him and said he can't start it until they have money in hand. It was already started when hey brought it over but it died. My husband wasn't sure if she knew how to start it. He explained that he owns a scooter shop in Costa Rica and that he knows what he's doing and he was not going to damage it at all but just wanted to see how the compression was by gently pressing on it so we can see how easy it would be for our kids to start up. A back and forth ensued with her telling my husband basically look don't touch. My husband is trying to explain to her that he wants to check the quality of the bike before purchasing and he isn't going to buy something if he can't even touch it and that that was ridiculous Out of nowhere she then told him to get the BLEEP out. I am in the car in total shock at what I am hearing! She said that right in front of my 11 year old! Greg hears her and comes back over, from the other unhappy customers and asks what is going on and someone else comes out from the shop, who no doubt heard her outburst, asking my husband not to call her names!? No one called anyone any names! These people are NUTS! These people are COMPLETELY unprofessional! We will take our cash elsewhere. Trust me..if you buy anything from these people you will be sorry! Read the bad reviews, they all confirm the rudeness and unprofessional manner of the owner Greg. How dare you talk like that in front of child! SHAME ON YOU! read more

I had a problem with the wifes scooter -- it never ran "right" since new. it then sat for a winter neglected and the carb's jets plugged up. I called around and no one seemed to want to help with a Chinese scooter. James @ max-mpg took the scooter w/o complaint or ill-comment. More impressive is I failed to all and ask "Can I drop it off?" He was pleasant, eager to help. Helped us unload the scooter from the truck; took a few notes and said "I'll call you in a few days." He gave a reasonable estimate with a caveat "we just don't know until we get in to it" I thought "wow, this is fast, and great service" By the time I got home, there was a call saying "your scooter is ready". It runs better than before, under the estimate; and he gave the bike a general looking over. I would definitely recommend James & his shop. Awesome friendly service & reasonable price. read more

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. Bought my son a brand new quad used premium gas and rose it twice for about 10 min each time when we realized it leaked gas. Called to see if they would fix it and got instructions on what needed to be taken off to be fixed. Brought it in to the shop where the guys working were extremely rude and offended that I would bring it to them on a Saturday (um sorry I work during the week to pay for things like the shitty quad I was sold) the owner Greg calls me and basically attacks me saying my husband took it off wrong and we would have to pay for it to be fixed(my husband got specific instructions from Greg himself)...greg was more inconsiderate than his employees. Wish I would have went somewhere else...even if it cost more I probably would have better quality product and a better personal experience. Went to get my part back so I could take it somewhere else so i can be assured it's fixed right since they clearly dont stand beside their product or their work. Wont step foot near this shop again. If you enjoy rude service, shitty product, and wasting your money be sure to stop in here. read more

I dropped my scooter off for them to trouble shoot a carb, had the part off the bike ready. Asked them to call me after an hour of labor with an estimate. Despite telling me they were confident they Could get it running. They failed to get it running, they told me I needed a new body and slide. They did charge me and hour and a half of labor and skipped the phone call. I gave them a second chance bringing the bike back with the new parts. Which technically, I don't even know why I'm sourcing parts for a brand that lists you as a vendor, but OK. I want my bike to run. This time, after some flip flopping, they decide the bike is recalcitrant and don't want to work on it anymore. I was able to find out they had not bothered to open the float bowl and even look inside at the carb to set the float height the first time. They were then generous enough to show me visually on a different carb lying around the shop that it should be set level etc, but they don't know the spec? Mind you this is a bike and brand they are registered vendors and suppliers for. I ask them if they want to set it and finish the job with the parts they told me to order which are already installed. He says no, so I ask why he worked on it before, but won't now and he says I am the problem and have attitude and cursed at me to leave his shop knowing he had ripped me off in the first place. So I can not stress how badly I would advise you to stay away from this dishonest mechanic. I asked him to trouble shoot a carb and he did not even disassemble it to look at the float bowl section. Unbelievable. I also brought the bike back a second time so he could finish the job with the parts he told me to get. First he asks if I want coaching or repair, to which I reply I am not sure, but I do need to verify some details of the previous work so that I know I am not missing any parts because perhaps I made a mistake putting carb together or something. I tell him I feel like the bike is close and wants to run if only we could lean the mixture properly as the bike just always runs rich. He flip flops on working on it, calls the carb finicky, blames the bike, but decides to teach me how to set a float height inside, since they did not, but when I ask him if he will do it and why it did not get done the first time I took it there, he melts down and throws me out of his shop cursing and decides to blame me. The worst and most dishonest exchange with any human being ever. This guy is just not honest at all and is a bad person as well. Straight up. Unbelievable, I felt threatened walking out of there the way he was cursing at me and my son for no reason. Just ask this guy about estimates and you will learn all you need to know. read more

I went there looking to buy a scooter. Greg who I believe is the owner when we told him we were going to go look at the scooter said it's no skin off my nose no worries. Something along that line we were just in shock. Purchased the scooter when I asked him about it it was not the scooter I wanted because we had to order it and he sent me a different picture long story short when I questioned it he didn't like that because he was being shady thinking I'm a woman that would come in and see a shiny object and like it. So when I called him out on it he said I think we've texted and talk to much and I think you need to go look elsewhere and I'm not going to sell you the scooter. I said you're so shady and you lied and that's why You don't want to sell me the scooter anymore. The guys that work there were nice but Greg was a donkeys you know what. I took my Kaitong in for a headlight change, only to find out there was also a busted wire. They fixed the broken wire and changed the bulb quickly. I've upgraded to a motorcycle since my 1st review (which was also 5 stars a few years ago), and I can't possibly say enough good things about Greg, Mike, and Jamie. This was two days before leaving for Sturgis. I had zero issues there and back, just like he promised. Dont waste your time here. They will definitely waste yours. I call in advance to see if they carried fuel lines spoke to the owner who said "Yes we do carry fuel lines and that they are open till 5pm". So cool I'll head over after work. I work in seattle live in federal way and the shop is located in fircrest. I get off at 3pm and have to drive an extra 45 mins in mad evening traffic PAST house to get to this shop at 4:30pm only to find that it was CLOSED. WTF!!! I called the number on the door and get on anwser. 5 mins later I get a return call back from the shop employee named JAMES asking if I had called. I said yes I did and stated my intentions and he told me that I didnt need to come to that shop to get the fuel line that I wanted I could go get it at an "Auto Parts Store" and proceeded to tell me that his boss was on vacation and that the boss didnt till him that I was coming so he told where I could locate a fuel line. I didnt want a fuel line from an auto part store I specifically wanted the fuel line that the owner said he carried at that shop. Besides that why would you close more than half an hour earlier than your suppose to??? The guy James had the nerve to tell me the shop was cold and there was nothing going on so he closed the shop. Wow!!! No $hit James its cold because it winter in WA. of course it cold. I like to support local businesses thats why I choose to CALL AHEAD and see if local venders have what Im looking for rather than just ebay or amazon everything. Big Mistake by giving these guys a chance. With NW scooter closed and bent bikes closed I pray MAX MPG WILL CLOSE next too. I will only be a matter of time before this place closes I give 5 more yrs at best. They wont survive with poor service like that. Called twice and asked if they had honda ruckus. Reply was I have a ton of scooters. Went down asked for ruckus was shown a bike that i THOUGHT was a ruckus. My husband and I continued to call it a ruckus. Negotiated as deal for 2 ruckus. Wrote the check out and paid in full and in comments wrote ruckus x2. When we got home I looked at the receipt which said rebel (another honda product). Called and talked with Greg the owner and told him that I was NEVER told what they actually sell is CLONES!!! I told him I felt I was led to believe that I was buying a honda. In fairness, Paul did at one point say "you can only but honda from a honda dealer" at that point I should have asked if they were in fact dealers but had no reason to. I told the owner Greg that I felt like this was bait and switch since both my husband and I had used the term ruckus several times and not once ever corrected. Recieved a phone call the next day from Greg who told my hubby that I hurt his heart using the term bait and switch. He then stated he wanted nothing further to do with us. He would be tearing up our check. Great out come cuz I was going to stop payment so it did save me money. All I can say is they DO NOT sell ruckus and anybody going here BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!! I have a brand new Vespa scooter. Like a real fool, the first month I had it I dropped the scooter in my driveway! I was HORRIFIED when I saw that I had dented the cowl. Knowing that these scooters are expensive and difficult to repair, I didn't know what to do. I called the shop where I bought the Vespa (Triumph of Seattle) and asked them for help. Believe it or not, they didn't know who to turn to to repair a dented Vespa and said they would get back to me. A call or two later they still hadn't come up with an estimate or even who could do the repair. I gave up with them and sent some emails to various shops asking for help. Max-MPG responded quickly and said that they could repair it. The other shops never even responded. So....I got the scooter over to them. The guys there were nice and REAL people. Not fake and phony acting like some shops (just to get your money). No, they aren't "polished" types or a big name shop....but they know what they where doing when I got my Vespa back. It looks PERFECT and like it was never dropped! I realize that some of the reviews on here about this place aren't stellar, but my experience was excellent and I'll bring my other scooters here when I need service. read more

Make sure you ask 3 times what the cost of the product is before deciding on a purchase. My first visit I met James, he was super chill, let me start up a bike for a second right there. I told him I was looking to purchase two bikes for my boys. I was impressed with the little SSRs. I have owned several Tao Taos and Supermachs over the years, and for my kids level of use and abuse, they always held up. I asked if there was any wiggle room ($$) when buying two, he said "We will make you a good deal". Fast forward a week, I'm back with cash and my pickup. James introduces me to Greg, then vanishes. We go through pretty much the same back and forth, I wheel out the two bikes, ask about shaving a little off... "We don't discount anything here, the price is the price." Ok.... so I pay retail, no biggie. But I'm persistent.... I ask if we can do a cash deal, no tax, and I get the "price is the price gotta tax and title these bikes" speech all over again. Whatever, it's for the kids, right? One bike is 800, one is 700. He slides me the invoice, near 2 grand. Doesn't add up. I ask, he says there are shipping fees, assembly fees (which he waived for me), plus tax and title. I call BS. Said I'd pay the price he was advertising the bikes for online, and in the store, and happily pay tax, but not a penny more. He says there would be no way to keep his doors open if he didn't recoup those fees, which is worth noting that nowhere, NOWHERE, in his advertising, in his shop, on his Craigslist ads does it mention "price (plus fees)". So I walked. Went home, in less than an hour I had compared pricing from 3 different online distributors, at least one of which I suspect he must buy from, as they were out of California. I got to pick my colors (which I couldn't do at the shop), got free goggles, with an extra set of plastics and decals, for each bike, again, for free, and paid hundreds less. HUNDREDS. Best part, shipping is free. I asked the extremely polite lady who called to follow up with me after I placed my order... she said SHIPPING IS ALWAYS FREE. And assembly? Front wheel and handle bars. My kid can do it. My advice to the gentleman who says he can't keep his doors open without charging me for fictitious fees... you won't stay open long if you aren't honest with people. I would have paid more money, had i been prepared and had it been clearly stated. It wasn't the money that made me walk, it was you. It was your demeanor. You didn't sound honest, you sounded defensive. You sounded like I was insulting you for asking about fees near 400 dollars above your price stated. People have a way of revealing themselves, and you showed me that you would deceive me if you had the chance. Perhaps it was me. My clothes, my watch, my truck... MY demeanor that gave you the impression that I was soft, or easily buffaloed. Well, that's not me. And furthermore, I will use my reputation in this community, built on honesty and respect, to spread the word as far and as often as I can to do my part to minimize the people you take advantage of. If this review angers you, very well. I hope it angers you in a way that forces you to make positive changes in your business plan and the way you treat people. Bought two brand new 125cc pit bikes. Both over priced and one of them is leaking oil all over my garage after only 4 hours of light riding. Called them thinking it would be warrantied, nope they said only 90 day manufacture warranty on parts. They would charge me to repair!! Unbelievable and would never recommend anyone buying or getting services from these guys! How do they stay in business treating customers like this? read more

Over two seasons of relationship with this shop we have experienced more than one mis-diagnosis and shotty mechanical and what amounts to a customer relational nightmare. Here are the facts: 2005 Vespa et2 (2 stroke). First season - scooter was having problems starting. Battery eventually discharged trying to start it. We brought it in, in less than 5 minutes using a volt/amp meter he diagnosed the problem to be the charging system. In a matter of 20 minutes he had the parts ordered. They installed the parts (stator and voltage regulator) at a tune of $550. We picked up the bike and it still was experiencing the same symptoms. A quick re-reassessment of the situation and "a new battery !!" , problem solved. Just trying to reason out why the battery was not thoroughly checked in the first place?? Again that's the $500 question. In ordering the voltage regulator/wiring harness they did not order the right one (cables were too long), They cut and sodered the new wiring harness to fit. Why a new part was modify to their liking is a telling sign of "get it done" mentality. Second Season - Scooter has a hard time starting. MPG - blow out the carborator and did some idle adjustments. $260 later same problem. Finally brought it to Vespa of Seattle for a quick fix. What they found was mis-aligned trottle cable, electrical connections that were caddy-wompezz and a gasket on the trottle cable as it enters the carborator also not installed correctly. They also did not put the carborator cover back on which has a breather hose on it. They said they cleaned off their work bench so they have noidea where it is. We had a factory check of all mechanical items when we bought the scooter,. So it was definitely there. He denign it ever being there. Thats it - never-again beware. read more
