So we, of course, had zero idea of what to expect during the walk-through inspection (that was scheduled last minute.) Not only was Vinny incredibly accommodating, but he was also very communicative. He arrived early for the inspection, and as soon as I met him, I immediately felt comfortable with his calm and personable/welcoming demeanor. He was incredibly thorough throughout the whole process. Checked things I would never have thought to check and encouraged us to ask all and every question that came to mind. As soon as he'd see something that immediately concerned him or something that could potentially become a problem years from now, he'd voice his thoughts to us. Considering this is a new construction, we were a bit surprised with the amount of things that needed fixing--nothing serious, primarily cosmetic. The following day we received his report exactly when he said he'd send it. It was very detailed and also included photos of his findings. The report is straightforward and easy to comprehend, even for those of us with zero experience. And of course, this all transpired while adhering to COVID-19 guidelines. When he arrived, he really took the time to listen to our concerns and even asked to see some photos to get a better idea of what we were dealing with. After taking a look, he explained that the issue was actually outside the scope of what he usually inspects. But instead of just walking away, he stuck around, explained everything clearly, and gave us some super helpful advice. You can tell John really knows his stuff. He was professional, honest, and didn't try to sell us on anything unnecessary. In fact, he insisted on not charging us, saying he likes to "sleep peacefully at night." That says a lot about his character. He even sent us detailed suggestions on how to handle the problem--what kind of work would be needed, the materials to use, and even what kind of handyman to look for. He also gave us a few referrals to get started. We were originally planning a much more expensive fix, but thanks to his knowledgeable advice, we are able to switch to a more practical option and hence cut the cost in half. We really appreciate his honesty and guidance. He is the kind of handyman you would like to work with, especially for people like us after working with various dishonest handman/plumbers...He is definitely someone we'd trust and would go to for our future home improvement projects.

Despite having completed our home inspection many months ago, as we settled into our home, we realized small things here and there that we didn't notice earlier. Every time we encountered something new, we thought any one of these questions - What can be causing this? How did this happen? How can we fix this? Will this cost much? Is this a small or big problem? The bottom line was where do we go from there?! ... JOHN to the rescue! Every time we had a question, not often, but the few times we did, we took John up on his generous offer of reaching out to him and, NOT ONCE, did John fail to respond within 1 day! Not only has John been extremely cordial and professional with every communication we had with him, but he takes the time to write out detailed, technical and specific instructions on how we could resolve our home issues. Honestly, we would be so lost without his guidance and advice, but he has made our transition into our home less stressful. Now I'm stuck with thousands of dollars of bills to repair after the purchase of the home. When I asked the company to compensate via insurance, they stated I signed an agreement which I can only claim damages up to the amount of the inspection fee $450!!!. They screwed me and cost me money on the home price as well as repair and refuse to make me whole! Mark Bendit, shame on you! Please check the agreement before you sign. It says you waive your right to be compensated above the inspection fee if they are negligent!! Do not sign! Do not use their services!!! UPDATE!! Based on owners response: The owner didn't refer me to his insurance as he claims. He referred me to his lawyer, who stated they were not obligated to pay me for their negligence. They will only return my inspection fee if I sign a release form. Mark, please don't make me post the release form next. Having your insurance fix the damage would have been the honorable thing to do.

Finding a vendor that can 'do-it-all' was a head-pulling process until I found Mikhail (he goes by 'Michael') who said yes to all three. He showed up on time, immediately ran a ground scan performing the oil tank sweep, thoroughly went through the house for the inspection, and left a radon test kit in the basement to collect an air sample, all for about two hours. Very next day, I received three reports at 9pm: 1. Inspection 2. Termites 3. Oil Tank Sweep Currently awaiting a radon test result. Since collecting a sample takes two days and the sample has to be shipped to a lab, several more days are needed. He's done a great job and I highly recommend hiring him for your due diligence.
