This business is dishonest. I canceled my membership, but I was still charged the next month. I tried dozens of times to get in contact with the owner to refund my money. I left letters at the salon, called weekly, etc., and the owner never contacted me. After 2 months of no resolution, I had to file a dispute with my bank. Thankfully, I deactivated my debit card and got a new one to avoid being charged another month because I don't trust them. It is ridiculous that I had to do all of this instead of them being a decent, reputable company. Apparently, this is a habit with this business, based on reviews I recently read. It's been years since I tanned. Although I should have known better the lady at front said I "could" do 20 minutes. I was extremely white as haven't been in sun for a year. She should have said 10 minutes at most. You're the pros, you absolutely should know better! As a result I am fried worse than I have ever been in my entire life. Can barely walk and putting on clothes is out of the question. It's really bad. Just called them simply to tell her to not let this happen to some other victim, and she just passed the buck saying "you should have gotten out earlier" It's 50-50 on "fault" , mine and theirs. I wouldn't even give this place one star!!! They are crooks!!! I have asked them numerous times in the last 6 months to stop automatic withdrawals from my account. Even after a completely new cars new numbers and all they withdrew 3 months worth out of my new account in 3 days. How did they even get this info. And let me also mention I haven't stepped foot in this place since 9/15. Then when you call they are rude and act like it is your fault like you have a paper to sign which all other conversations no mention of a paper was even mentioned. They are rude and crooked folks!!! Ive always used Designer Tan, and I got my mom to start going as well. Anytime others have asked where I got my tan from, I would advertise for Designer Tan. However, on 2 different occasions, I have signed up, and put a freeze on my account, only to be hit with charges 4-5 months later, and when inquiring, they say "oh you didn't freeze your acct", or "it's in your contract". Well, my problem with this is, I typically put in a "FREEZE" the same day I start the contract, and the girls say, usually someone new, or a girl in training, "ok we put in your freeze, you're good to go in just let us know if you want to change it and tan again". Needless to say, I just got hit again with a spontaneous charge, and they are telling me if I don't have a receipt where I froze the account 5-6 months back then there's nothing they can do. Funny thing is the last time I got hit with a charge, and keep in mind, it always seems like its the end of the summer, when their business starts drifting away, and they aren't as busy, is when the charges start hitting.l However, last time they did this, they went back and found the error and credited my account, but this time they aren't going to do it. With that said, I will no longer be tanning with them, I will try somewhere else since this has happened to me more than once. My mom will no longer tan there either. We will definitely be tanning somewhere else next year because I can't afford to have a company take money out in error and then tell me there's nothing that can be done, even when I haven't returned to the tanning salon since The first of June when my account was expired (well was supposed to have been, but due to error, they evidently didn't stop it) So no thanks, I am a full time nursing student and I can't afford mistakes like this.. read more

Do not go here!!! it's nasty with roaches that crawl over your feet and dead mice in the corner. So disgusting. I went a couple of days ago and when the lady took me back a roach ran over my foot, she acted like she never even saw it. I went ahead and did the spray tan even though i was thoroughly disgusted, but the dang spray booth just kept spitting at me instead of doing a nice steady spray. I got out, started to get dressed and saw a dead mouse in the floor.....yuk. So i went to the desk to tell her the spray booth didn't work correctly but the lady didn't care a bit, all she said was she was sure it would be fine. GUESS WHAT, it was not fine, it came out all splotchy and looked like crap. What a waste of money! All she cared about was trying to sell me crap. Took forever to get out of there, she just kept trying to push packages and lotions on me. Like i'm going to give you more money when you didn't care that your darn spray booth was screwed up. I wish i could give them negative stars. read more

i cannot in good consciousness even rate them a one. my daughters had been tanning there for two months whenever i was diagnosed with severe psoriousis. they talked me into joining and i paid 40 something dollars for a month, went two times and was told my account was on hold, i asked why and the employee called the owner, the owner advised me that they had the tree of us on vidio together which is a bald faced lie . she then advised me that the daughter i have never been in with had stolen a bottle of tanning lotion. this young lady is 35 years old.i had no clue this had happened and was banned from the facility woth no refund. i am not done but if you go there just know the owner is a liar and i will see her in cival court. read more

I went to the new Highway 81 E location (formally sun shack). Walked in and the blonde girl working was standing there with her boyfriend (assuming by the conversation that was taking place and way they were all over each other) and I waited for almost 5 minutes just to get to the counter. When I finally did get to the counter this girl was so incredibly rude. I asked for a spray tan. She rang me up for one and it was more expensive then other versa spas in the area which I didn't understand. I get sprayed twice a month sometimes more by 'xclusive tan' and I use the versa spa on occasions at the tanning booth in the publix plaza. Both were full that day and I had a wedding the next day to attend so I used this business. Moving forward, I went into the booth and the machine did two passes and went to auto wash so I called the girl in who called her manager and sent me in again (per my request). Again giving me attitude. The second round was almost just as bad leaving me smelling more like cleaner then spray tan. So I wrapped up the process, left and wasn't told thank you for coming or see you again so I made a point to say have a nice day and was again, greeted with attitude. I left and never went back. Out of the thousands of spray tans I've gotten this one showed up as basically no color and what did show up showed up as a faded color. I made sure to post the results on social media as well as the video I have of the lady giving me attitude as my second attempt tan finished and I was leaving. There are other with similar experiences. So to finish my review, I do not recommend this establishment. read more
