Some color themes, bouquets from her Instagram that I liked, and random floral elements from other Instagram pictures. Looking back, it probably was not the most cohesive set of references, but somehow she was able to turn all of it into exactly the florals I wanted. When I saw my bouquet for the first time, I literally said out loud, "wow, that's exactly what I wanted," even though I don't think I could have clearly described it myself. She somehow understood the vision better than I did.

Nigella is a beautiful floral shop located right on Market Street, in a super convenient area…read moresurrounded by lots of businesses. It feels like the perfect spot for foot traffic and events. I actually visited for the first time during a company offsite where they hosted a bouquet-making workshop, and it was such a fun experience. It was surprisingly challenging in a good way! It really made you think about placement, balance, and technique. We learned from two florists who each had their own style, which made it even more interesting. They also shared insights about different flowers, the history of the shop, and their personal journeys into floristry. I'd highly recommend this as a team offsite if you have the budget. It's a great mix of creativity and critical thinking, and it's something a little different from the usual team activities. Beyond the workshop, the shop itself is full of great finds like beautiful plants, Compartés chocolates, candles, pots, stickers, and other giftable items. It really feels like a one-stop shop if you're looking to put together a thoughtful gift. Also, fun personal note, I hadn't realized until this visit that they were actually the ones who made our wedding boutonniere, which made the experience even more special. Overall, a great shop with a lot to offer, whether you're stopping in for flowers, gifts, or a unique event experience.

Wow. I am very disappointed with my flowers. I had ordered these flowers to congratulate a friend…read moreon her promotion and I am extremely embarrassed at what she received. I had specifically ordered from Diosa because of how beautiful and whimsical the floral designs were on their Instagram and their website. I had even paid the extra delivery fee to get this delivered outside their service area because I was happy to support this small business! But what I got was a sad average looking floral arrangement that I could have gotten from a grocery store (see picture). This is certainly not the value of a $135 arrangement that is depicted on their website. Additionally, their website says that they include a hand written card. I wasn't expecting an actual big folded card with envelope, but at the very least I expected it on a blank notecard?I certainly wasn't not expecting the note to be on their business flyer which I find to be a little tactless, considering how I emphasized that these were exciting congratulatory flowers being sent to a professional office when placing my order with them over phone. I even asked if the medium was a good size to send since the large vase arrangement looked really huge on the website. And they assured me that the arrangement would be about 1.5/2 feet tall. As you can see from my photo this was not even 1 foot tall. I would have gladly paid for the large vase arrangement if it meant a more impressive floral arrangement. But sadly I don't think I would have gotten anything better if I ordered the large vase arrangement. I understand that flowers are seasonal and I wasn't going to get exactly what they have on their website. But the arrangement I received isn't even in the same realm of the arrangements on their site and Instagram. I will say their customer service was good and they were able to deliver. But I definitely won't be ordering from here again. Total bummer since I was really hoping to support them again in the future.
