We used this florist for our intimate civil wedding at SF City Hall and couldn't be happier. The arrangements were absolutely beautiful and photographed wonderfully. They fit perfectly within our budget, which we truly appreciated for a smaller celebration. David was easy to work with, responsive, and very punctual on the day. Highly recommend to anyone looking for elegant florals and dependable service. We are booking him again for our catholic wedding a year later. read more

Absolute Elegance and David understood the wedding assignment! David was referred to me through my cousin whom he also designed and curated wedding florals for. David's communication, planning, and vision really exceeded our expectations -- we provided him sample photos and colors with likes and dislikes of certain florals and asked for his experience and skills to drive the rest. He checked in on us throughout the months leading up to our big day and was always professional and took care of us and our floral wants. Logistics on the day of with delivery of centerpieces, bouquet, boutonnieres, corsages, sweetheart table arrangement, and welcome sign arrangement were as smooth as one would expect. He worked extremely well with our wedding coordinator and caterer for the ceremony and reception. We could not have asked for more beautiful fall wedding florals by a more kind, friendly, and experienced vendor! Will definitely be asking Absolute Elegance for future floral needs! Thank you so much for elevating our wedding day with your stunningly-crafted florals, Absolute Elegance and David!! It was absolute elegance :) read more

We recently had our wedding where Absolute Elegance and David provided flowers. From the moment we connected with David all the way through the ceremony, the process was amazing. He was professional, responsive, and took care of every request. Our goal was to have an elegant floral arrangement, David understood immediately and fulfilled this to a "T." On the day of the event, the flowers were onsite and ready to go. Not only this, our guests commented how amazing the floral arrangements were and a few days later, were still on display at the event site (still looking fresh and new). In the future, if we need any floral items, he will be the first people we reach out to, read more

David where do I begin for this review. From my bouquet, centerpieces, to general service overall you were and are amazing. I AM SO PLEASED with how my wedding flowers turned out 1. Professionalism is excellent with quick responses. Patiently answering all questions. Just very genuine and honest business! I felt no pressure, no awkwardness to review my true budget & vision with David. Speaking of vision, I really didn't have much to start. I am not very creative & know nothing about flowers. I shared maybe 1 or 2 (likely only 1) Pinterest photo... and somehow David just knew what I was going for... 2. High quality work/service: Our guests raved & is continuing to rave about the flower arrangements/color coordination. Absolute Elegance! Thank you for bringing that elegant vibe to our small wedding. Perfect execution. Oh, and for my bouquet I needed to use it for 2 days & David taught me how to keep the flowers alive & even hand-delivered it to my hotel room so I could finish my make up session (I didn't have a bridal party so it was just me)....thank you for that! 3. David is very dedicated & easy to work with. He plans ahead & gives his honest opinion which is much appreciated. Also, when I asked David questions about wedding industry questions in general always great advice! I keep saying "I" but really we as a couple enjoyed working with you, David. I think every time we need flowers for any event we're not straying from you unless you reject us bc you are too busy... My family & coworkers are definitely & highly interested in working with you after seeing your work! read more

Absolute Elegance - Beautiful and creative center pieces - great for any special events! - Floral Designers Near Me

Prior to meeting David, we had met with two other florists our wedding venue had recommend. My wife and I were shocked at the cost of wedding flowers. David came to us highly recommended from a friend who had used him on several occasions. We met with him twice to go over our floral ideas and he showed us pictures of floral arrangements from previous wedding that he had worked on. Let's just say those pictures do not do justice to what David can actually create for you. My wife was so pleasantly surprise at how beautiful the bridal bouquets was when he delivered them to her hotel room. We were also very HAPPY with the centerpieces, sweetheart table, cake and ceremony floral designs that David had created for us. Considering what we had paid, ALL the flowers were better than what we had envisioned. He went above and beyond what we talked about to make our wedding day Beautiful. David is very talented, friendly and professional. He will work with your budget to make an incredible floral designs. We would recommend him to everybody. read more

David's craftwork and creativity is amazing!! I've used him for two separate occasions and each time he delivered beyond our expectations! The first order was several weeks ago and we ordered two leis for a celebration of life ceremony. The recipient was overwhelmed at the beauty of the leis and I was so thrilled to know that I made the right choice in choosing David to make these for us!! Just the other day, we ordered a tropical arrangement and showed him a picture of what we were hoping to get. He looked at the picture and asked if we were fine with him altering it and giving it his own personal tropical twist. What he created was more than what we expected, absolutely gorgeous and stunning, and completely made our friend's day. David listens to what you want, makes some creative suggestions and ensures that you're happy with those ideas and then creates stunning pieces of beauty. See for yourself! read more

I'm a planner who has now worked with David on two weddings. Both brides wanted a more unique floral look and on both occasions David delivered. He is very professional and really knows his stuff when it comes to flowers and what works best with what. I met with him with one of my clients and he was easily able to understand what she wanted and come up with ideas that were in line with her vision. I will definitely be recommending David to future clients. read more

I truly enjoyed my experience working with Dave Wong as I was planning my wedding. Trying to plan a 500 guests wedding was quite stressful but Dave's expertise and friendly demeanor made me feel at ease when it came to the flowers. I just told Dave my wedding colors and that I wished for something simple, but elegant and he went above and beyond my expectations. I was floored by how he transformed a large traditional Chinese banquet hall into a simply elegant venue. I've referred him to several friends and know of several who have used his services with only good things to say about him. Even when another friend decided to work on her own flowers for her wedding due to her smaller budget, Dave was so kind and offered us free advice. He's truly one who values his customers. read more

David is one of the most experienced florists out there! He's very personable, professional and has a true talent for being able to make your vision reality. A wedding is particularly a stressful time with all the planning and fine details. He really took the worries and stress out of the floral and decor part, which in my opinion is probably the most important part besides the dress, so I wanted it to be perfect! Not only is he knowledgeable about flowers but he knows a lot about weddings in general and really helped to guide me through the entire process. I couldn't have been more happy with the way everything turned out, it was beautiful and simple but elegant just as I envisioned! read more

Absolute Elegance stepped in to help me with flowers for my husband's memorial, after I had had a terrible experience elsewhere (DO NOT GO TO Paul's Flowers in Colma EVER!). David met me within 30 minutes of me calling him, treated me with complete compassion at a difficult time, made flower selection as easy as possible and arrived earlier than expected on the day of the funeral. He has a wonderful temperament and great skill with arrangements. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Highly recommend. read more

I can't even find the words to describe how thankful I am for David and the work he did for my wedding. We only had to meet once and I sent him a loose idea with pictures of colors and ideas I had in mind (burgundy rustic with loads of greenery). He was super helpful in picking things that would go well with my vision and explained to me different flower types in season. Let me be quite frank, he put the Pinterest pictures I sent to shame. The work he did was markedly better than anything I could have imagined. All of my friends and family were fighting for the centerpieces by the end of the night and raving about how beautiful the flowers were. All of the bouquets were gigantic, full and beautiful. The centerpieces and arrangements were absolutely stunning (i'm pretty sure my friends were posting about the centerpieces they took home with them and how beautiful they were!) Honestly I feel like I grossly underpaid David for the beautiful work that he did. He genuinely cares about your day looking great and he knows exactly what he is doing. Do yourself a favor and look to David for all of your floral needs. Thank you so much, your work was the icing on the cake to my wedding day! read more

David Wong, of Absolute Elegance, is one of the best vendors I've ever had the pleasure of working with - for any event, both big and small. Absolute Elegance is amazing! I worked with David for flowers for my wedding. He is so nice and professional. He is very responsive and his patience is beyond! I was so indecisive with what I wanted and kept making changes, but David was so patient with me and always said, "No problem!" He already had a really big wedding he had to prepare for the same day as mine, but he still agreed to do my wedding flowers. David's work is beautiful!! For my centerpieces, I had simple greenery and baby's breath, but David made it look very romantic. There was extra since we had less guests attend than planned, so he placed it on our cake table and it helped enhance the cake. He also provided the flowers for our cake topper. Simple and sophisticated! My bouquet turned out even better than I expected! The mixture of colors, flowers and lamb's ear worked perfectly together and it looked so pretty! David knows just the right flowers and accents to use together to make every cymbidium orchid and carnation boutonniere stand out! He also has the most beautiful leis! I had to find leis pretty last minute for a graduation. I took a chance and asked David and he came to the rescue with the most unique, intricate, luscious and gorgeous leis I've ever seen! David's work truly embraces the name, Absolute Elegance! I HIGHLY recommend him for all of your floral needs! I know that I won't be going to any other florist whenever I need flowers. David is truly a life saver. Called him the week before our wedding to do the florals for our wedding. While most other florist were too busy to take us on, David was more than happy to take us!! So thank you very very much! We called David, had an idea and not too big of a budget. He made everything work! We sent him photos of what we were inking and he said he had it handled. We. Implement left it up to him. David also took care of the boutonnières, corsages and 11 center pieces! He used the most beautiful florals for the center pieces and our mothers loved their corsages! He arrived at the venue and had everything taken care of without me ever worrying about a thing! Our guests loved what he did with such little time and modest budget! David has been my 'go to' florist for years now! From weddings and unfortunately for sadder occasions as well. But, he is always available to create the perfect arrangement for any event - sometimes without hardly any lead time! On a personal note - Thank you so much for the memorial flowers for my mom, and remembering all her favorite colors! I can't beleive it's been 5 years already. :( I have recommended him to many of my friends for weddings - they shopped around at first and then discovered that David is still the best bang for your buck - even for the budget conscious, he works within your budget to create the most elegant arrangements that looks like a million bucks! And, he provides so many awesome ideas and referrals for all occasions, especially weddings - got my hair/make up person through David. What a great resource! Better than a wedding planner! He always goes out of his way to make everything perfect - even fly to Hawaii - roving florist! Who can ask for anything more? Keep up the great work! read more

My sister passed away unexpectedly and our entire family was in shock while trying to arrange her service. My sister loved flowers and we wanted beautiful floral arrangements for her funeral. A friend recommended David. After a few email exchanges with David, I went with my gut instinct and asked David to prepare the floral arrangements. My nieces are young and they were heartbroken over their mother's passing. They wanted special floral tributes and gave me pictures of what they wanted. I shared their pictures with David along with other floral arrangement requests from other immediate family members. I am not a flower kind of person, so all I could ask for was "beautiful" and no carnations. I've ordered flowers many times from my local florist (to support the neighborhood businesses.) I also placed a very large order from a florist for my father's service based on the recommendation of the funeral home. The floral arrangements were all okay. But just okay. Nothing spectacular; nothing memorable. I told myself that funeral flowers don't have to be wow. It is not as if these were floral arrangements for a wedding, right? I wasn't sure what to expect when we walked into my sister's service. I was stunned. All seven floral arrangements were beautiful beyond words. The casket spray was absolutely gorgeous. The flowers were so carefully arranged. The flowers were so fresh. And huge. Truly precision work with a wonderful attention to detail and a creative flair. My nieces were so pleased with their hearts for their mom. And that meant the world to me. And David was right in recommending one large basket near the casket instead of going with another standing spray. I find great comfort in knowing that my sister would have loved the flowers. Several friend and family members commented on the exquisite flowers and attention to detail from the florist. How often does anyone notice or comment on flowers for a funeral? I think that is a testament to the beauty of the floral arrangements. David, thank you! If I could give you more than five stars, I would. I recommend you call David for your floral needs. You will not be disappointed! read more

I choose Absolute Elegance because of the great yelp reviews but I was oh so disappointed when I saw the floral arrangement I had sent to a funeral home for my husband's aunt. It was the smallest arrangement in the entire room and for the money I spent ($135.00) the size and amount of flowers was not at all what I had expected. I even felt I had to apologize to the family and also the other 2 families that went in on the flowers. Dave was very nice to deal with and I was hoping I had found a florist to do further business with but not with this experience. Sorry!!! read more

David is so amazing. He was our florist for our wedding, and I'm so glad that I chose him! We were referred to David through a long-time family friend. When I first approached David, I had literally 0 ideas of what kinds of flowers I wanted, how I wanted them to look, or anything. For me, I just wanted my flowers to look pretty, I wanted them to last a while (i.e. not get brown after sitting outside out of water for a bit), and I wanted them to match the feel of my venue + my color scheme for my wedding. David accommodated my budget as best as I could have asked for. All he needed to do was look at a few photos of the venue, receive a color swatch of what my bridesmaids were wearing, and just be told how many people needed which flowers. From there, David took care of all of the rest. The flowers were beautiful - absolutely breath-taking; they matched the feel of our entire wedding ridiculously well, and he made the flowers in such a way that we were able to use multiple pieces for different purposes. For example, he made 3 pieces that went on the altar for the ceremony, that later just got moved around to ultimately become the decorations on our sweetheart table and in front of the wedding cake - and it totally worked because the pieces were done so well! In addition, my relatives loved taking home the centerpieces because they were so beautiful. The flowers were also fresh, so they lasted the entire day without even a single hint of browning. David is such a creative genius - extremely responsive to requests and communications, detail-oriented, and accommodating. I would 100% trust him with any important event if you want beautiful, well-done flowers that match your personality and style for a reasonable price. read more

David was the florist I hired for my wedding at the Olympic Club and his work was fantastic. From start to finish he was able to take my vision and bring it to life. I have to say I am a tough critic when it comes to flowers, especially since I typically create my own floral arrangements, and have also helped some friends with their wedding flowers. When it came to my own wedding earlier this May, I knew this was one task I cannot do on my own - no matter how much I loved doing it, or how specific I wanted my flowers to be. Dave was recommended to me by a friend who told me "Just leave it to him, he knows what he is doing and won't break your bank". That was exactly what Dave was. I only had one meeting with before the wedding and probably about over 10 emails before that. He will tell you that he may not always have time to check his email as he may be tied up with some projects that period but I appreciated the heads-up and he does come back to you with good answers to your queries. I told Dave specifically what I wanted for my own bridal bouquet - simple, elegant white phaelanopsis orchids without any additional secondary flowers or ghastly over decorated ribbons. The color themes for my wedding were coral, aquamarine and mauve pink. If you know exactly what you wanted and better still have pictures of your arrangements, Dave can replicate them and add some additional exquisite touches - after chatting with you to understand your style and wedding details. If you don't have a clear idea, spend a longer time to go through with him what you have in mind. He does have some good examples of what he did before, but like any creative florist, its always exciting to create new arrangements - to the way you like your floral masterpieces to be. Pricing-wise, Dave is very reasonable and if you have specific budgets, do let him know but be realistic what you can get, and also depending on the seasonal availability of the types of flowers. Keep an open mind and let him know what you absolutely do not like. That will help you both a lot. Dave will also work out the timing delivery and give you some advice on the flowers - and even ways of saving costs by creating arrangements you can reuse for your church service and dinner celebration. I am very happy with his creations and so are my guests - who requested to take some arrangements home and they still sit in their houses today (updated with fresh blooms of course). Thanks Dave! read more

We were quite happy with David's work for our wedding banquet. He put together beautiful centerpieces, boutonnières, corsages, and decorations for the cake, all with a fairly quick turn around time. Even so, he set up time to talk through what we wanted, had samples to show, and even made some suggestions to help enhance our original idea. On the day of, he was prompt, quick with the set up, and even pitched in a hand for other non-floral set up that we were doing. We'd definitely recommend his work, and would definitely suggest meeting in person to get a feel for his work. read more
