I was referred to Lester's Flowers by the mortuary, and I am so grateful that I was. Lester's flowers and designs are the most beautiful I have ever seen. When I was ordering, Lester took the time to understand what I wanted, the colors I had in mind, and the feeling I wanted the flowers to express. He really listened, and he knocked it out of the ballpark. If you want to pay tribute to a loved one in a beautiful and meaningful way, I highly recommend going to Lester's or trusting him to create something special for you. His arrangements are not just ordinary flowers put together. They are true works of art. The colors he uses are vibrant, elegant, and full of life, even when he is working with mostly white flowers. There was one lavender design that was especially beautiful, and I asked him to keep a little bit of purple in the casket spray. It turned out absolutely perfect. I do not regret a single penny I spent on my mother's flowers, and yes, you can absolutely copy and paste your ideas or inspiration when working with Lester. I know my mother would have loved them. Buying flowers for a funeral can feel intimidating, but I encourage anyone to go into the store, speak with Lester, and even bring in or share examples of colors or styles you have in mind. He will help create something truly beautiful. Thank you, Lester, for helping us honor my mother so beautifully. read more

We came here for a specific floral arrangement my mom wanted for a close family friend. We came here with the idea and they did such an amazing job. My mom told them the colors of flowers and they asked her if she had a specific kind of flower in mind. They paid so much attention to what my mom had in mind that it turned out perfect. They speak Spanish. They also delivered the flowers to the wake. Such a great place to get all your flowers. read more

I can't give a high enough rating to Lester's Flower Shop for their support to an important memorial event that we held on Saturday, September 19, at Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno. This event was a memorial wreath-laying ceremony to honor Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz and his wife, Catherine F. Nimitz, held in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) at the University of California, Berkeley. Then-Navy Commander Nimitz was the founding Commanding Officer of this program, which has produced almost 5,000 U.S. Navy Ensigns and U.S. Marine Corps Second Lieutenants since its inception. The two 24 inch floral wreaths that we ordered were critical to this event, which was attended by a Congressman, senior U.S. Navy and Coast Guard officers, Midshipmen, Alumni, veterans, and the general public. The wreaths were delivered on time, fresh and to specifications. We cannot be more pleased with their service. read more

I live out of state but needed a florist that could deliver to a Daly City funeral home. I called Lester's and the lady helping me was very helpful describing the different options and helping me pick what would be best suited for the look we wanted to achieve. Lester's Flower Shop did an absolutely gorgeous job on my aunt's heart wreath! After discovering I made an order with one of those TERRIBLE 1(800) so called 'local flower shops' I found Lester's! The order was done perfectly; work was fresh and abundant. The owner was respectful and super efficient (even sending me a photo of the finished product). Delivery was perfect and on-time. For the beautiful work done his prices are affordable as well. I will be keeping Lester's contact for sure! read more

Seems like it's getting harder and harder to find florists, but luckily it's Lester's to the rescue. Give there are more people below ground than above in Colma, I imagine there's lots of traffic from people wanting to pay their respects at one of the nearby graveyards. The way parking is, be careful when getting in and out of your car: this is adjacent to a merge lane on road where other vehicles travel very fast. read more

An endearing small business with a friendly owner, affordable prices, and a pretty selection of bouquets. I'm by no means a flower expert, but Lester sent me home with a bouquet and a vase for ~$15 (I forgot the exact price) and my fiancé was thrilled. I also really enjoyed chatting with Lester and was touched by his kindness. He waved away the change and rounded the vase price down so I could pay with the bills I had. I'll definitely be back. read more

This is my go to flower shop. They have great prices, stunning super fresh luxe arrangements and absolutely stellar customer service. I mean it - I gave them the wrong address Belmont not Daly City and they re-delivered it the same day within an hour. They had lots of other deliveries that day, but they were so very nice about it. It was a lot of back and forth because I was on BART with a bad connection. I would recommend Lester's flower shop to anybody. I buy a lot of flowers and I'm not always at the other end to see what they look like but Lester's always sends a picture of the arrangement so you can know exactly how fresh and beautiful the arrangement is and know that it was handed off graciously. They even take a picture of the card, I ordered in the evening but I still got a confirmation email and everything was so easy for me. This is a lovely family business and very community- minded. I recommend them highly for any occasion. They have a big delivery radius so even if you don't see your delivery address listed just ask. read more

I had visited a different flower shop and had a terrible experience, so I was pretty hesitant walking into this one. However, I was quickly welcomed by anyone and everyone that worked there and never was I questioning who would be able to help me. A gentlemen quickly greeted me while I was outside and pointed me in the direction of the lady who would help me. I showed a picture of what we were looking for for my grandpa's funeral arrangement and she helped me every step of the way. She showed me different options, gave me all the prices, and offered suggestions. She made this easy during such a difficult time. Prices, quality, and service are all excellent here and I would definitely return. Thank you for such exceptional and friendly service! I greatly appreciated the help! read more

Awesome personal service, super-fast same-day delivery, friendly, efficient & the Sympathy bouquet was stunning!

Instead of ordering from a large online chain, I looked for a local flower shop near the chapel where the services were to be held. I was not going to attend the service, so this was a long distance phone order. I gave my price point and the colors, Lester took care of the rest. I was very pleased with the arrangement- the online chains would have cost a whole lot more. Because it was local, he also delivered it for no extra charge. I prefer to buy local when I can! Thank you for the beautiful arrangement. read more

I ordered a funeral wreath from out of state because a group of us could not attend the services. Lester's was nearby, and available whereas other shops were booked out weeks in advance. But more importantly, the wreath was beautiful with fresh, large flowers. They were quick, responsive and friendly. They had messages beautifully stamped on ribbons, accommodated prices and changes and texted photos, as requested. During a time of unexpected grief, it was a bright spot to have the one last gift made to a friend go well. Thank you! read more

Lester's made some really nice arrangements for the funeral of a close family member. The color combinations came out very pretty, complementing the casket as well as coordinating amongst the wreaths without looking the same. The flowers were fresh and they took the extra step to added small watering tubes to some of the flowers on the wreath to ensure they would stay fresh. Their prices are very reasonable and we appreciated their attention to detail. Although the shop is under new ownership, the flowers continue to be made by the same person, Javier. Their family are very kind and helpful through this difficult time and made the process an easy one. Overall, we are very happy to have used them. read more

Pleasant experience, stellar service, and beautiful flowers. I was stuck in a last minute bind. My son was invited to a friend's Winter Ball and he wanted to get his date a corsage - LESS THAN 3 HRS from the event! I came based on my Mom's high recommendation, as she purchases all of St. Dunstan's floral needs from Lester's. Irene graciously took my order after 4pm and advised that she can finish the job before they close at 5pm. Other florists quoted me at twice the price I received from Lester's, and only one other shop in the area was willing to do the rush job for me. I arrived to Lester's at 4:45, Irene greeted me with a smile, and the gorgeous corsage she made was already waiting for me in their pick up fridge. Full roses, no wilted petals, bright green foliage, and delicate fillers. Irene extended herself and matched the young lady's gold dress + my son's gold tie by putting the corsage together with an elegant gold wrist strap and beautiful metallic gold ribbons. THANK YOU IRENE! The time she took to accommodate our needs set the tone for my son's first formal event. We'll definitely return to Lester's for Irene's gorgeous corsages and boutonnières for our next formal occasion, and future floral needs. read more

I called last week to inquire about purchasing a bridal bouquet and a boutonnière since Lesters was so highly rated. I'm a covid bride and have already postponed my big wedding celebrations to next year but we are continuing with the original date in my backyard with people in my household. So I called to ask questions about it and a man picked up. He was pretty rude on the phone. He asked me what flowers I wanted and since I'm not privy to the names of specific flowers I couldn't quite communicate what it is I was envisioning. So I asked him if there was any way I could send him my inspo picture. He brushed it off and keep badgering me about which kind of flower and I kept trying to tell him that I don't know. Finally he said you can send it to me at this number. And that he probably won't get back to me till later that day and it shouldn't matter cus my wedding is in August anyway. In that smug irritated tone. I said thanks and hung up and was pretty shocked when I got off the phone. I still sent him my inspo picture because I was trying to be empathetic that maybe he was just having a bad day as this pandemic is affecting people negatively mentally and financially. And I wanted to support local businesses especially in these uncertain times. He never got back to me. So what I did was message Fiori Per Te as it was highly rated as well and got on a call with the owner Judy. She was so sweet and caring compared to this guy and she was accommodating in taking a look at my inspo picture. I literally paid for my flowers on the spot with Judy in the phone. I'm glad that at the end of the day I was able to find a florist that was grateful for my business and treated me like I wasn't some hindrance to her daily duties. Bottom line : I will not buy from Lesters and will tell my friends and family not to in the future as well. Definitely would not recommend. Please reach out to Judy from Fiori per Te! She's awesome! read more

We worked with Imelda for our wedding flowers and she more than delivered. The quality of the flowers, set up, and attention to detail was flawless. She was very sweet, caring, and a great price for what you get. I would recommend Lester's Flowers to anyone asking. read more
