Give there are more people below ground than above in Colma, I imagine there's lots of traffic from people wanting to pay their respects at one of the nearby graveyards. This is my go to flower shop. They have great prices, stunning super fresh luxe arrangements and absolutely stellar customer service. I mean it - I gave them the wrong address Belmont not Daly City and they re-delivered it the same day within an hour. They had lots of other deliveries that day, but they were so very nice about it. It was a lot of back and forth because I was on BART with a bad connection. I would recommend Lester's flower shop to anybody. I buy a lot of flowers and I'm not always at the other end to see what they look like but Lester's always sends a picture of the arrangement so you can know exactly how fresh and beautiful the arrangement is and know that it was handed off graciously. They even take a picture of the card, I ordered in the evening but I still got a confirmation email and everything was so easy for me. This is a lovely family business and very community- minded. The color combinations came out very pretty, complementing the casket as well as coordinating amongst the wreaths without looking the same. The flowers were fresh and they took the extra step to added small watering tubes to some of the flowers on the wreath to ensure they would stay fresh. Their prices are very reasonable and we appreciated their attention to detail. Although the shop is under new ownership, the flowers continue to be made by the same person, Javier. My son was invited to a friend's Winter Ball and he wanted to get his date a corsage - LESS THAN 3 HRS from the event! I came based on my Mom's high recommendation, as she purchases all of St. Dunstan's floral needs from Lester's. Irene graciously took my order after 4pm and advised that she can finish the job before they close at 5pm. Other florists quoted me at twice the price I received from Lester's, and only one other shop in the area was willing to do the rush job for me. I arrived to Lester's at 4:45, Irene greeted me with a smile, and the gorgeous corsage she made was already waiting for me in their pick up fridge. Full roses, no wilted petals, bright green foliage, and delicate fillers. Irene extended herself and matched the young lady's gold dress + my son's gold tie by putting the corsage together with an elegant gold wrist strap and beautiful metallic gold ribbons. I called last week to inquire about purchasing a bridal bouquet and a boutonnière since Lesters was so highly rated. I'm a covid bride and have already postponed my big wedding celebrations to next year but we are continuing with the original date in my backyard with people in my household. So I called to ask questions about it and a man picked up. He was pretty rude on the phone. He asked me what flowers I wanted and since I'm not privy to the names of specific flowers I couldn't quite communicate what it is I was envisioning. So I asked him if there was any way I could send him my inspo picture. He brushed it off and keep badgering me about which kind of flower and I kept trying to tell him that I don't know. Finally he said you can send it to me at this number. And that he probably won't get back to me till later that day and it shouldn't matter cus my wedding is in August anyway. In that smug irritated tone. I said thanks and hung up and was pretty shocked when I got off the phone. I still sent him my inspo picture because I was trying to be empathetic that maybe he was just having a bad day as this pandemic is affecting people negatively mentally and financially. And I wanted to support local businesses especially in these uncertain times. He never got back to me. So what I did was message Fiori Per Te as it was highly rated as well and got on a call with the owner Judy. She was so sweet and caring compared to this guy and she was accommodating in taking a look at my inspo picture. I literally paid for my flowers on the spot with Judy in the phone. I'm glad that at the end of the day I was able to find a florist that was grateful for my business and treated me like I wasn't some hindrance to her daily duties.
