Leading up to the wedding, she created a sample centerpiece for us, and we were blown away by how beautiful it turned out. We gave her an idea of what we wanted it to look like and what flowers/color scheme we wanted, but gave her free reign to design what she wanted and she did not disappoint. She let us know what flowers she used, what flowers might be available for her to use closer to the wedding day, and what flower colors we want to change for the centerpiece if we didn't want to use a particular color. When making our wedding centerpieces, she texted us photos of all the flowers she planned on using for our arrangements. By doing so, we were able to be part of the process and were not surprised with anything. We loved all of her flower selections! When I first met Neli I was interested in creating my own arrangements so she generously gave me a tutorial on flower arranging so I could make my own for Thanksgiving. She's really great at guiding me through what works well together while also letting my creativity do the picking, and recently when she didn't have what I was looking for she offered to source them from the mart for me the next morning. What was delivered looked substantially different and was dominated by 10 bright pink tulips, completely changing the overall color balance and aesthetic of the design I selected. When I contacted the florist, Neli explained that tulips were present in the back of the original design. A few tulip buds are barely visible in the background of the website photo, but they are clearly not a dominant feature. In the delivered arrangement, they became one of the main visual elements. Instead of addressing the design mismatch, I received an itemized explanation of how expensive the flowers were and was told they "cannot afford to refund orders." Their own substitution policy says the style and theme will be preserved. In my experience, they were not. I'm attaching the website photo and the delivered arrangement so customers can judge for themselves. If you expect the arrangement you choose online to reasonably resemble what is delivered, I would look elsewhere. , , Update in response to the owner's reply: Neli, your reply completely misses the point. I didn't pay $285 for a hidden "treasure hunt" of expensive flowers buried under a wall of heavy, fully opened pink tulips that completely changed the design and color palette. If a same-day order requires such a significant change to the overall aesthetic of the arrangement, a professional florist should contact the customer first and ask for approval rather than simply making the substitution. And yes, your suggestion that I explore other florists is one piece of advice I will definitely follow. Of course, I still had to stalk Fan's Instagram page, and I immediately understood why Vivi recommended her. Her florals were delicate, thoughtful, and romantic without ever feeling overdone or too in-your-face. Everything she created felt intentional and effortlessly beautiful. To be completely frank, despite being extremely Type A about almost every other aspect of our wedding, florals were never really a huge part of my original plan. I initially planned on using silk flowers for most of the decor and only having our personal florals be real. But after talking it over with my husband, we basically decided that if we were already going big, we might as well go all the way . We ended up repurposing the silks as our aisle runners and having Fan create this absolutely beautiful ground arch that we were able to repurpose throughout the day--from our ceremony to the sweetheart table and eventually the welcome area. The funny thing is, I genuinely had no idea what kind of flowers I wanted. I had no flower names, no carefully curated floral mood board, and really no direction beyond knowing what I liked when I saw it. Fan was incredibly patient and walked me through different examples, basically letting me point out the things I liked and didn't like until she understood the overall feeling I was going for. From there, I pretty much left the creative design up to her, which is saying A LOT coming from someone who likes to have a hand in every detail. I trusted her judgment completely, and she absolutely delivered. Everything turned out stunning. Out of all my vendors, Fan was also one of the quickest to respond, which I really appreciated. I'm a very decisive person, so once I know what I want, I like to make the decision and move on. Within just a few days of talking with her, we had already made most of the major decisions. She had great insight into all of my ideas and knew how to take the random things I liked and turn them into something cohesive. And even though we somehow ended up changing literally the entire floral plan along the way, she rolled with every change and made everything work beautifully in the end. Seeing the flowers on our wedding day was honestly such a wonderful surprise because I had given Fan so much creative freedom. They were absolutely gorgeous and complemented everything perfectly without ever overpowering the space. We received so many compliments from our guests, but I think the ultimate sign of success was when some of the aunties started fighting over who got to take the flowers home at the end of the night . If you know aunties, you know there really isn't a better compliment than that. Fan, thank you for being so responsive, patient, flexible, and thoughtful throughout this entire process.
