Unfortunately, our first wedding in February was evacuated due to a terrible storm, which led to most of our florals being destroyed. Rosedale Floral was the vendor for our wedding at Dominic's at Oyster Point in SSF on Feb 1, 2019. Avonne was such a pleasure to work with! She provided all the centerpieces for our reception, but we also hired her to do my bridal bouquet, the groom's boutonniere, and corsages for our immediate family members. Avonne is the sweetest person ever and offered wonderful suggestions and ideas on what flowers to use. We loved how honest she was, even at first letting us know that she may be out of town at the time of our wedding, but will make sure that we get everything we needed before she left. And she did. I'm so happy that I was referred to Avonne of Rosedale Floral Design by Bala of The Cakemaker who made our wedding cake. I did spend a little over the max that I wanted to spend, but Rosedale doesn't charge nearly as much as other florists in the city that I inquired for quotes. Avonne has a wonderful eye and gave lots of great ideas and advice. Though, I was a little nervous because I couldn't picture the descriptions of each of the floral pieces, she did an amazing job! Everyone raved about all the flowers, they even lasted awhile after the wedding too (minus my bouquet). Avonne was able to drop off my bouquet and the bridesmaids' bouquets at my hotel prior to dropping all the other flowers to the venue. She is very responsive too and her shop is conveniently located in Brisbane with plenty of parking. I believe she only does flowers for weddings or possibly special events. Avonne provided flowers for my wedding last August, so this is definitely overdue. I cannot recommend her enough. I had a decent budget -- not large, but not miniscule by any means. I wasn't expecting much, but my goodness she delivered. I described my vision and she made it come to life!! The best part was she was able to stay relatively within my budget and I got WAY more than I expected. A great example of why you should go with Rosedale: I had just left Avonne's shop after meeting with her and developing an outline of all the flowers she would be able to provide within my budget (flowers for 15 tables, bouquets for me and my 8 bridesmaids, 12 boutonnieres, 3 corsages, and flowers for the sweetheart table), sitting pretty and super pleased. I had scheduled a call with another florist right afterwards. I told this florist my budget, and # of guests. What she told me: I should basically give up on flowers and consider candles for the table instead, and didn't even bother trying to work with me on providing ANY flowers. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ROSEDALE FLORAL DESIGN. During our initial consultation I was immediately impressed with Avonne's professionalism and knowledge. She totally understood the look and vibe we were trying to achieve (more-so than we did ourselves) and guided us towards the best floral designs for our wedding. She has plenty of visual aids communicate her ideas which left us feeling confident in what she was going to provide. We even discussed our entire day's timeline so she knew where and when we needed the flowers for photo shoots etc. We ended up renting a backdrop from her as well, so her services go beyond just flowers. We met with her a couple months ahead of time to go over our color pallet, choose center piece designs, and order bouquets and boutonnières (those are not included in the package price). She was very enthusiastic and clearly has tons of wedding experience because she knew exactly what I wanted without much explanation. We also hired her to decorate our cake (if you are getting married at crystal springs and use their contracted baker Mazzetti's it is very seamless having Avonne decorate your cake because they work together a lot). I do believe they have nice flowers however I felt like Avonne was not willing to work with me as if her flowers are exceptional but they're really not. She mentioned she is extremely busy and fully booked on the day I want which I get, But I don't think it's a good way to tell a customer specially if the venue package included her services. Like if you are so busy, why work with the wedding venue? Give a chance to other small business owners who are actually willing to work with customers and provide good service and even better attitude, not the "I am too busy for you even though you will be spending at least half a grand." So basically the package included the centerpieces which she said she will work on but was sooo busy to make one bridal and 2 bridesmaids bouquets ???
