I would not recommend this salon. The chemical smell from using acrylics is overwhelming. They don't have proper air ventilation. The woman who did my pedi was speaking in a very loud voice almost the entire time - making it not very relaxing. One of the workers also passed gas which was most unpleasant. New to the area, wanted to go to a place that was reasonably priced and did good work. The shop was very clean with friendly technicians. I was seen shortly after my appointment time. Drinks are offered with the service. Pedicure was nice, wasnt rushed. My only complaint is I asked the tech to cut a cuticle that was a tad long but the tech cut my cuticle to the point where it bled but that happens so it's a minor issue. Do not waste your hard earned money on poor attention to detail and inadequate customer service skills. I am a busy college student paying for my own education. I have three employers and work hard for what I have so I know the struggles of making an honest living and what it's like to work in customer service and management so I'm usually very forgiving for people who work in customer service. To begin, I was asked what I would like three times because in the middle of my sentence she would get up and talk to a co worker or leaving customer. The first time I thought "oh she forgot to say goodbye" but after the third time of repeating myself because she failed to stay seated and listen to my response I was unhappy. She then very hastily and roughly removed my acrylics and seemed unhappy I was asking so many questions. I am new to acrylics and getting my nails done because growing up I did not have the extra money to do so. That is why I was asking questions concerning pricing and what's best for my nails. Might I add in a happy demeanor. Also my time is very valuable to me which she wasted putting the wrong top coat on my nails. More in this later. After yanking and drilling she then asked me twice what color I wanted and repeated back the wrong number. It was clear to me at this moment she was completely disengaged with me as a customer and just trying to get her work done as quickly and inefficiently as possible. Yes I ment inefficiently because I don't find this the way to treat a paying customer whom has put a smile on her face through this experience and showed up 5 minutes early to her appointment mask on face ready to go. As this hasty process continued she put the wrong setting coat on. This jellied the consistency of the dip which she hastily shoved my hands into a strong removal liquid, so strong she covered with another towel over my hands and literally said "it smells like it's burning". She apologized, but I could have told her she is going to fast and to please slow down and engage. If she did this she may not have made so many mistakes. Also trying to start conversations of gardening, the weather, or anything was a joke. She did not speak to me or acknowledge I was trying to speak to her the entire time only engaging with co workers accept to appologize for her mistake and because it was removed in a bowl clear clumps and sparkles where all over my hands as you can see in the photos which she did not take the time to even have me wash my hands to try to remove. The cuticles were not touched as seen in the photos. The final product after two attempts was messy and unsatisfying to say the least. Then they had the audacity to charge me full price. If you want to be ignored and have worse nails then you came in with then this is the place. I felt after her mistake and the final product that I would at least receive a percentage off or on the house. That's the policy when I've worked in food, if the orders messed up it's then remade correctly and is either on the house, given a discount or a coupon for next time for the inconvenience because we are all human and make mistakes but a hasty sorry didn't seam like the proper way to solve this problem. Unless I'm dragged here with a friend I will NOT be returning. You have lost a customer and a good Refrence. The worst! I had a pedicure two weeks ago with a friend. The man doing my nails clearly was very angry he was needing to sit at my feet, and clean them. Really rude. Ignoreing my pointing out a very sore spot on my leg, and squeezing it anyway. I asked him to cut straight across, on my big tow nails, and he still wanted to cut my corners out. During the massage he started slapping my feet and punching my soles. I asked him why he was hitting me? He then mumbled under his breath in Vietnamese something to his co-worker, that made her stop and look at me. Then when I was leaving I realized he wasn't using the new bag of tools I bought. And in the end when he was "ripping" the toe separators off between my toes, he burped on my feet! I would never send anyone else there. They must not clean their pedicure chairs very well because I got a nasty toenail fungus from them in April 2016. I discovered it when I took my toenail polish off about a month after I got the pedicure. (Don't judge, lol; it was still cold and rainy and not sandal season). The polish help the fungus to flourish. It took me two trips to the podiatrist and about $300 to rid myself of it. My podiatrist said I was lucky because for many people it becomes chronic. The infection happens when the pedicurist does not properly disinfect the foot soaking area, including the pipes! My podiatrist says she never gets pedicures because she's seen the havoc the fungus wreaks, but if you do insist on a pedi then get it from a place that uses a separate tub (dishpan) and not a chair with a tub because the pan can be more easily cleaned. read more

I would not recommend going to this nail salon if you like quality nails. I've been getting dip nails for about 6 months and never have my nails ever chipped within 3 days on multiple nails. By day 5 all my nails have chipped off. Also when my nails were finished they were supper messy. The dip product was everywhere on my fingers and not just my nails. The art work is always amazing, they are always friendly and welcome you by name, and their product is good!!!! They even close out the salon for parties! Designer Nails consistently does a great job on my nails and I love all the choices in colors and styles! Many times they are even able to get me in last minute, if I haven't planned ahead. Robert and Nae are the ones to choose if you like that little extra and are super picky. But all of their staff is friendly and remembers you by name. Disappointing. First pedi since having my baby (9 weeks) and decided to try this place. Pedicure was just ok. Massage was short and nails look like they still need some filing to smooth it out. To top it off they charge $1 extra to use my debit card. In this day most people do not carry cash and rely on their debit cards for purchases. I know some nail places charge a fee 35 cents or so but $1 is ridiculous. Working in the credit card industry for 15 years I know visa / MasterCard charge merchants 3% of purchases, the cost of having the machine. So this merchant is passing their cost of business to its customers, in fact making a profit on a $23 pedi. I won't be going back to a place that charges me to pay for a service. There are many other places within a mile that don't charge fees and do a better job overall. read more

I live in Oregon City and its convenient for me to get my shellac nails done at Designer Nails. I have been there a few times-I've referred many people to them BUT if you don't have either Robert or Jenna to do your nails-I wouldn't go. I have tried Lee 3 times-yep 3 times and every time my nails look terrible-The color wasn't even to my nail bed. I also went to Bee and she was good but not stellar. I will never go back. I had a HORRIBLE experience tonight. I asked for chrome nails, paid an additional $15 for the chrome powder and extra $10 for the shellac that goes under the chrome powder. So, a total of $25 on top of the full set price.... My nails are all bubbly and blobby, not the right shape (asked for coffin, got something between square and coffin) and the chrome powder she used turned my nails a matte ugly blue. NOT EVEN CLOSE to having the chrome effect. When I expressed how upset I was with the job she did I was told "we can do something different next time, I have no time right now". Came in with a friend to get my nails done at 12:10pm... I worked at 3 pm so I wanted to get them done early. We didn't finish until 2:50pm!!! What the fuck took so long, I got cute long black nails. TWO DAYS later I'm fucking missing 3 nails that broke off!! People are telling me my nails look like shit which they did, never coming back here again. Yeah they tell u they will fix ur nails for free, well I don't have time to come in and waste my time for u to fix your fuck up! It hasn't even been 7 days and I only have two nails left, they were very poorly put on and very thin with the acrylic layer.
