Uber does okay with Houston! It's working out between the new technology of ride hailing apps and…read morethe old Taxi system. Uber generally gets me to where I wanna go in Houston for relatively cheap, considering the sheer size of this city. There always seem to be people available nearby and have never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a ride or so. Prices are going up. It seems like the drivers are getting pinched more and more. The drivers are often interesting people. You don't really know who you're going to get- it's fun chatting them up, but some just wanna be left alone. I wish there was a setting in the app to let you or the driver know if the other person would rather be left alone. This city is big, that you have to watch it- going from, say, NRG stadium, to the Woodlands could be an expensive endeavor.

They didn't nickel and dime us for adding an extra stop like the other car service companies were. Making a payment was seamless as well (20% down and full payment 2 days before scheduled service). My family and I flew from the San Francisco Bay Area to Houston Hobby and needed a ride to Galveston to port for a cruise. I contacted 3 different car service companies and decided to go with Top Tier Chauffeur services, out of instinct and I'm so happy I did. The day of our arrival, Betty texted me and provided me with the name of our driver, Kae, and his phone # and told me he will be in baggage claim to meet us after our flight. Soon after, I received a text from Kae. When we landed we went straight to baggage claim, there was Kae right when we got down the escalators holding a digital sign with my name on it. He made it easy to find him. He walked with us (there were 4 of us) to pick up our bags from the carousel then loaded our bags into the suburban. The ride was nice and clean. Kae was welcoming and engaged in our conversations. We started talking about Buc-cees and lo and behold we did a quick pit stop there. Our first time at a Buc-cees so we were super grateful for that stop. The day we came back from the cruise, I received a text from Kae letting me know he was going to be the one picking us up as well. I texted him when we got off the ship and he was there within minutes with cold water for each of us. If you know how hot and humid Galveston, TX gets then you know cold water is a treat. Thank you Top Tier Chauffer services. Betty and Kae, thank you for making our ride experience a memorable one! I highly recommend Top Tier if you are looking for a safe and trustworthy car service. The Wave is a great service and if you're looking for a good time, call them instead of Uber…read more I started taking The Wave after I was introduced to it by a friend who went out multiple times a week and he had the membership so it was a great value. For $15 per person, you get an "All-Access" wristband which gives you unlimited rides all night. This is cheaper than a cab and if you plan on going to multiple places, cheaper than Uber. The Wave allows you to bring alcohol on-board so you can pre-game a little bit before you arrive at your destination. This is great if you have a large group of people because it really gets the party going. Riding this around closing time is a treat even if it takes a long time to get home, depending on the number of pick-ups/ drop offs the driver has to make. Drunk people dancing on stripper poles tends to be the highlight! The Wave can be reserved and has a small bar to store booze if you choose this option. I love The Wave!
