It's easy to make an appointment and I never have to wait long when calling in. I've only had two issues during my time here: 1) ortho scraped/cut my gum line (not a big issue because I don't think there was lasting damage 2) I wish I would have had more information during the consult on how ortho impacts my gum lines (found out that because my teeth are moving, this can result in my gum receding - I learned this on my own towards the end of the treatment). 3) When I received conflicting information between my ortho and dentist regarding using a night guard, I had to really push the front desk to have the ortho speak to my dentist. I had to make this request three times and eventually insisted because there was conflicting information given. My last positive to share - once I finished my treatment they gave me two pairs of retainers and accommodated my request of making the width of the retainer thinner to avoid additional impact on my gum lines.

They are always friendly, professional, and extremely efficient--her check-ups usually take only half an hour, often less. Their communication is also great, both in explaining procedures and in sending appointment reminders. Lastly, I love how supportive they are of the community. We first heard of them because they donated gift bags for one of our school's PTA events, and over the past year they've promoted food and school supply drives with local charities. I highly recommend them!

From start to finish, the process took about two years and two months, which was so much faster than he initially projected. That came down to how creative he is. He would show me visual previews of the entire progression. If we went one route, here's what it would look like and how long it would take. If we went another route, here's what would change. I could actually see the options, understand his recommendations, and help pick the direction. He kept me involved throughout the whole process. It was literally a one-of-one experience. And the entire staff is out of this world. These guys truly live up to the name Family Orthodontics. It feels like one giant family, and I cannot say enough great things about them. I was so happy with my experience that I recommended my brother. He got braces with Dr. Dean too, and he's having the same amazing experience. Look at the before-and-after pictures. I've been meaning to write this review for a while, and I'm finally getting around to it…read more When my 8 year old daughter needed orthodontic treatment, we visited several orthodontic offices in Orange County. This was all new to her and she was really nervous and scared. Out of all the places we visited, Salt and Light Orthodontics was the only one where she felt truly comfortable. She actually chose this office herself! Once she started treatment, she didn't just feel comfortable. She loved going soooo much that she would count down the days until her next appointment. Dr. Stephanie is a wonderful orthodontist, and she's so good with kids. My daughter and I were both completely new to the process and had so many questions. Dr. Stephanie took the time to explain everything clearly and made each step easy for us to understand. My daughter needed two phases of treatment and her first phase went smoothly and finished right on the timeline Dr. Stephanie had given us. She came out of it with such a beautiful smile! We're now waiting for her remaining baby teeth to fall out before starting Phase 2, and my daughter asks me every day "When can I start again? I want to go see Dr. Stephanie!" Seeing my daughter go from being so scared to actually looking forward to her appointments means so much to me. We're so grateful to Dr. Stephanie and highly recommend Salt and Light Orthodontics. P.S. The entire office staff is so kind and welcoming, too! Thank you all for taking such wonderful care of my daughter!

A friend recommended Dr. Abousheta, and knowing that her husband is an orthodontist himself, I felt confident seeking his expertise. I was impressed that Dr. A took the time to provide a complimentary, unhurried consultation without any pressure. Lisa, the office manager, was also wonderful--friendly and easy to talk to. I especially appreciated the transparent pricing and proper insurance billing. After previous experiences with dental clinics that seemed more focused on making money than caring for patients, honesty and transparency are incredibly important to me. Dr. Abousheta's office absolutely delivered on both! The clinic is clean, modern, and welcoming (and the robot assistant is such a fun touch!). I ultimately decided to get my retainers here, and one year later, I couldn't be happier with the results. My teeth look beautiful, and I regularly receive compliments from my own patients! Thank you, Dr. Abousheta, Lisa, and the entire team for your excellent care, professionalism, and integrity. I wholeheartedly recommend this office to anyone looking for an orthodontist who genuinely puts patients first!
