The food is always very affordable in this locality and Desi Burger is no exception. The gol guppay (pani puri) I elected for was unfilled because I like to pop those puri bad boys myself and control the filling. I got one cup of the standard khatta/savoury pani and another cup with a melange of chickpeas, onion, potato, chaat masala, yogurt and tamarind sauce. Excellent. Combined them all together and 8 super big bites later, I was sated. Not too sated because I also got a couple of desi burgers to try. Beef and chicken shami burgers with anda (egg, omlette style) yes please. Both burgers came with generous dollops of mint chutney and other spices and I asked for spicy. I'm a spice wimp so it pained real good, but I did overhear another guest comment that he didn't find it spicy (what a champ). This place is known for their affordable food options and is open till late so you can satisfy your midnight cravings! If you visit this place, make sure to absolutely try their bbq corn with butter and you'll be blown away. The service is very warm and you'll be taken care of. Ambiance isn't anything fancy but I wouldn't complain about it given the kind of food this place serves. I also tried their Aloo chicken burger that comes with egg (didn't take a picture coz I was so hungry!) and I have to say I was so full by the end of the meal even though the burger was under $7. Desi Burger's menu is small but has a lot of the typical Pakistani street food: different varieties of chaat, paan, gol gappay (pani puri). The Vegetarian Burger was ok - I liked the fried egg they added, but wish that they put less sauce. The chaat was very spicy. read more

We just popped in really quick to try out some gol guppa but we actually ended up getting a burger, because the woman at the corner said that they are pretty famous, and papri Chaat that was pretty good.  This place is not very big and there was a really strong smell because apparently someone burned a burger,  but I am glad we were able to try out these items and the sugar cane juice that they freshly made, I thought it was really good. They also have a restroom to use in the basement. Would go again! read more

I've always walked by this place but never went in. Decided to try this place when I heard from a friend that this place had amazing burgers- more particularly the shami was a must-try. I ordered the shami burger with egg and chaat papri. The shami burger was super tasty. The shami was soft topped with delicious sauce with a spice to it. I'm a fan of spicy so I enjoyed it. However, it could get a bit messy due to the large amount of sauce. You have to eat the burger as soon as possible before it gets too soggy. The chaat papri was also very delicious. It came with chick peas, potatoes, onion, yogurt, mixture of sauces and topped with crackers. Huge portion and very filling. This can even be a meal itself. I still can't believe this place existed for a long time and had never checked it out until yesterday. Highly recommend if you're looking for amazing Pakistani food. read more

Delicious, cheap, and quick! Their burgers are only $5 and their samosas are only $1. It makes for a very cheap and satisfying meal. Docking a star because their burger is a little soft and lacks some texture, but the flavour is all there. Came here over the weekend as they were having a festival along gerrard street. Ordered pani puri and chaat and overall food was good. The pani puri has a lot of onions. The service was good nothing to really complain about. The restaurant itself is really small and outdated which is to be expected. Food was very reasonably priced for the amount you receive. Would recommend to anyone wanted to try some indian food downtown. read more

I visited this place while touring "Little India" on Gerrard and having heard so much about "bun kebabs" I decided to pay this place a visit. A bun kebab is essentially an Indian style burger simply put. The patty is warmed up and then topped with a variety of culturally specific sauces to make it unique. The texture of the patty itself is soft and almost melts in your mouth (also because the patty itself is thin). The sauces added have the potential to make it really spicy so practice caution. I also had their Kashmiri Tea which is essentially a pink-coloured tea made with milk which features a variety of nuts in it. It is a nice addition to your meal, but I would suggest drinking it as a "dessert". I would give this place a check if you're looking for something different! read more

The anda shami burgers remind me of the anda shami that I used to have in Kareem Market Lahore. The place is simple but clean, the owners are sweet, and they have delicious kashmiri chaye and meetha paan! read more

I ordered one of The burgers he said was beef with some lentil. It for sure had no beef in it. The photo showed it coming with tomato and lettuce. He said no it doesn't come with that but I will give it to you. But he did not. So it was smothered in a ton of ketchup and mayonaise and nothing more. The Burger was flavorful as a lentil Burger but because it was not what he said would be coming it was disappointing . Not a good business man to under deliver and lie to a new customer. read more

They've got a great burger with desi style seasoned/spicy meat paty. It's a little different from most burgers (but in a good way). I'd recommend getting your burger with the extra omlette inside. read more
