My wife and I have been on the hunt for not just good, but truly delicious Chicken Tikka Masala, and we've tried quite a few places around Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, and Fontana. A lot of them have been just okay, so we were pleasantly surprised by Desi Aroma. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Vindaloo, and the flavor was easily the best Tikka Masala we've had in the area so far. The seasoning and richness of the sauce really stood out. The Tikka Masala was very flavorful and had a nice kick. Why the four stars instead of five? The customer service was okay, but there is definitely some room for improvement. We're personally not big fans of ordering through a touchscreen, although we understand staffing levels may play a role in how restaurants handle ordering. The interaction wasn't particularly friendly or welcoming during our visit, but honestly, the food made up for it. We went in during the evening and it wasn't overly busy, which made for a pretty relaxed visit. Overall, I highly recommend Desi Aroma for the food. First time trying this spot, it's a new concept for pizza. We were the only ones there at 1pm and were greeted and seated promptly. The lady took our order and was very helpful and the male helper gave us a run down of the beer options. We ended up ordering the chicken tikka masala pizza and the buttered chicken pizza with a side of Samosa and Godfather beer. The chicken tikka masala tasted exactly as I imagined, tasty and crunchy. The cheese they used was amazing and stretchy. I wasnt a fan of the buttered chicken just because it was a bit too creamy for my taste but my boyfriend loved it. He loved the chicken, said it was full of flavor and loved the French fries in that buttered pizza. The beer was a good surprise, very smooth, like an IPA, 6.8% alcohol. Paired well with our pizzas. I came here four times, and the last two they messed up my order. The last order from last month I was served frozen shrimp and fish curry. I didnt even complain just thought it was a fluke. Came back again a few days ago to order their lunch special again and was missing my third item. I had to go all the way back to my office to discover that they didn't give me my entire order. So already wasting all of my lunch break, I went back to get my money back, and the incredibly rude woman said super condescendingly that the missing saag was behind the counter. I replied how would I have known, its not in the bag, and you handed it to me, so why be so rude? When I told the owner about how rude the interaction was she then claimed that she had replaced and remade my frozen food for me. What is she talking about? I never complained about frozen food this time, just about my missing food, and the fact that she mistook me for another customer just proves how often they mess up orders. So despite me not even complaining about the frozen food, they regularly give customers undercooked food to the point where they cant even keep track. Avoid this place. Overpriced, small portions, rude service. I can see why this restaurant is always empty with no one waiting for food, even at the height of the lunch rush. read more

We were the only ones there at the time before more customers came, but it took them a long time to bring us our foods. There were only two staffs working at the time. The guy that took our orders was also the chef. My guess is that they were short on staffs. The sodas machine wasn't working and there were no ices. We ordered the followings: - Desi Chicken Curry (Medium Spice) - Prawn Curry (Medium Spice) - Kaju Veggie Korma (Medium Spice) - Aloo Mutter Paneer (Medium Spice) - Basmati Rice - Butter Naan The Desi Chicken Curry was good. The Kaju Veggie Korma was good as well. The Aloo Mutter Paneer was alright, seems like they didn't put enough Paneer. The Butter Naan and Basmati Rice went well with the curry dishes. Although the Prawn Curry was good, it wasn't Prawn they were serving, they used tiny shrimps instead. We asked the chef why there were no Prawn in this dish, and he was silent, didn't know what to say. Then he said, "we don't serve prawn here". We were shocked. The service was very poor. The person helping us barely spoke English, which made communication difficult and led to several mix-ups with our order. It also seemed like they were short-staffed, so everything took a long time. The guy straight up didn't tell us that they don't have prawns but then you can't tell us that? They think they can dupe us? As for the food, the only thing I actually liked was the vegan pizza -- it had a nice crust and good flavor. Everything else we ordered (a mix of Indian dishes) was bland and lacked the bold spices and taste you'd expect from Indian cuisine. The drink situation didn't help either. The soda machine wasn't working, there was no ice available, and the water they served was straight from the tap -- not filtered. Overall, between the language barrier, poor service, and underwhelming food, I can't say I'd come back here. Gave us a couple samples to try - can't recall what they were called, but some we enjoyed and others weren't our cup of tea. Chicken Tikka Masala pizza was amazing! Could it have tasted better with added spice? Perhaps. Don't really have anything to compare it to, but will return to try different combinations and spices to get the "kick" one tends to look for when chowing down on Indian food and spices. Great service (albeit a tad slow since they were busy with staff still training), great food selection, automated ordering from a modernized electronic kiosk, plenty of parking, and all around family friendly environment. Desi Aroma is my new favorite Indian restaurant in the Inland Empire. I love the laid back atmosphere, clean interior, quick and easy ordering, and incredible food with generous portions. Props to the very friendly owner and workers, too! My girlfriend loved the corn nuggets. They're crispy but not bursting with oil or anything, so they make for a great appetizer without being too heavy. Likewise, the chaat was very well done--the potato stayed crispy even under the various sauces, and the spicy flavor was amazing. The tikka masala pizza was great. There isn't too much chicken but it's wonderfully cheesy which makes up for it, and it's loaded with onions and peppers. Cheese on cheaper pizzas can taste dry and over baked, but the pizzas at Desi Aroma are top notch. We'll definitely be back! read more

Chutney Pizza - Love the flavors, love the gooey cheese, wish they had gone with fresh jalapeno instead of preserved. So good. All the pizzas had a nice thin crust and it was nice and crispy. Stumbled across this place by accident. It just (soft?) opened, but there wasn't much fanfare so it would have been really easy to miss. Hopefully the grand opening is better advertised, because this place deserves ALL the business. I tried the paneer pizza and garlic knots. They were both to die for. The pizza is definitely the star of the show. It's full size and an incredible deal. You can get two for $22 which just blows my mind because fancy hand crafted gourmet pizzas can be up to $30 for just one. I loved the crispy and thick bready crust and the curry spice paired with the double cheese. Paneer pieces were abundant. Would definitely get this one again, but request for spicier next time. You have to try the garlic knots too, which were also super affordable. They were the perfect accompaniments to the pizza. Perfectly spiced and pairs well with the flavorful dipping sauce. Warm and fluffy. Just perfection! I didn't try the tikka masala sliders myself, but I was told they were lovely. I snuck a few fries though, and those were delicious ;) I spoke a little with the owner, who was so friendly and kind. It was a pleasure making his acquaintance! I'd suggest they have more of an offering of salads if they were going to add to the menu, there is only a side salad available. This was our second time here. We decided to try this place. It's a very laid back spot with enough tables to sit inside with your family. Last time, we had gotten the Kathi roll, garlic bread and chicken tikka pizza. We were very excited and ended up feeling satisfied with their food and service. I have been here twice so far and have only had three things. I had the shai paneer pizza, chicken tikka pizza and the pepperoni pizza. Everything was good! I really love their pepperoni and the shai paneer one the most! The crust is the best. It has a nice bite to it and isn't greasy. It's not too thin or thick. The only thing I will say is I feel like the price is a little high. It was $18 for a small pepperoni pizza and $16 for a small shai paneer pizza. The small was like about the size of a blaze pizza or a little smaller. I think $12-14 should be the range in my opinion. read more
