Did a guys trip and this was the best part. Rick did an amazing job with the tour. Highly recommended. We will be coming back.

The Desert Wolf experience was great- booking through the tour itself! We wanted to experience the desert terrain and "participate" in the tour. We took turns driving the ATV so no one got left out. Our guide, Derik, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and had a very friendly personality. He elevated the tour by providing facts about the landscape - and the local "creatures" that call the desert home. I highly recommend!

We reserved a morning tour in the month of January as a large group. The intro was quick and we were on the trail in no time. The machines were sturdy and well kept. I enjoyed touring the Sonoran desert. I had no idea that cactus were as plentiful as they are on the tour. I am a geology nut so the variety of rocks we saw were great. At the end of the tour we found the a great Jalapeño burger and beer! I appreciate the adventure and if it seems interesting I encourage you to give them a try.

This adventure was a once in a lifetime experience Noah was a fantastic guide and interpreter we learned a lot about desert life plants and animals saw literally hundreds of saguero cactuses I saw a hair donkeys and some cattle. The Tom cars easily handled the rough terrain even though we are in the middle of the Sonoran desert we felt safe with our guide Noah we even learned how to get water out of a certain type of cactus in an emergency this was a great desert tour 3 hours in the Sonoran desert I would highly recommend it

This was THE best destination experience I have ever taken. From the start, the staff, especially our guide, Rick, was fun, entertaining, super-friendly, and knowledgeable. He guided us through how the Tomcars operate, and got us out on the trail in no time at all. Once out on the trails, we went at a pace that anyone with zero off-road experience could manage, but is still fun for those with experience, and had a break for driver swaps & vehicle check-ups to ensure everything is going smoothly. Once moving, he guided us to the range area, and set us up for some shooting fun with a wide array of 'toys' he brought, from and Uzi, all the way to a Barrett, with a lot in-between. His firearm instruction was second to none, and prepped everyone with the basics and cardinal safety rules (everyone seems to pay attention more when you're packing heat), what to expect from the full-auto weapons, and on to shooting we went. Standard items available were the 9mm Uzi, M4, and some classic M1919 WWII belt fed action, with add-ons being a SCAR-H, MP5, S&W .500 Mag revolver, and the epic Barrett M99 .50BMG. After the shoot Rick gave us an option of a way back where we could open up the machines for some fast action after some technical driving, or another slower-paced trail. Well, you know what we chose, and after some serious up and down rock crawling and trail negotiating, we got to a spot that was flat and had fun making some big dust clouds and running full throttle. I would hands down do this adventure not only again, but every chance I get. In fact, we're already planning to do another driving trip the next time we're in AZ. If you're looking for an excellent adventure to try the next time you're near Phoenix, DEFINITELY give Desert Wolf a call... You'll have a blast, literally.

This review is about HAVASUPAI BG WILD and not the majestical Havasupai Falls…read more This was by far the worse backpacking adventure I've ever been on. Save your money, research and anyone can do this on their own. I had to request an itinerary months after i paid in full. I had a few follow up questions because the itinerary that was emailed had conflicting instructions from the instructions posted on their website. It took an unreasonable amount of time for someone to respond to my email and I was told that the person designated was having family issues. The first day of arrival our guide text us around 7am to let us know that he wouldn't be starting with us, that he would catch up or fly in. I didn't understand why he sent out a text since we were not suppose to meet him until 10am. We were supposed to meet our guide at the tourist office for a meet and greet but also (more importantly) to give us our permits, but he never showed up. Some of us were stopped by a ranger on a horse because we didn't have the wristband permits that were supposed to be given to us by the guide. The ranger was nice but he still asked for my name and permit. I told him that I was with bgwild and our guide hadn't shown up and he said it was unacceptable that Cole hadn't given us our permits. Fast forward. It's now 11am and I'm at the campsite and I still have not met the guide. Another ranger named Erwin came over to the table where I was sitting and asked for my permit. I started asking around and no one had met our guide. This is a very long story so let me get to the point. This was a 2day/1 night traditional trip so in my opinion there was no room for error. We didn't meet our guide until 5:30pm. I prepaid to have my pack transported by helicopter sling and i didn't get it until 6:15. Which meant I had no food from 12-6:15p when my pack arrived, no swimsuit, no shoes or a change of clothes to continue the hike to Mooney and beaver falls. I would've carried my swimsuit and food had I been informed. I was under the impression that my pack would meet me there. There were no details given about what to expect in the itinerary or on their website. Even if I believe that Cole waited 5 hours for a helicopter and that the Natives were to blame for his tardiness, that means he didn't get to the trailhead until noon. He was supposed to greet us at the tourist office at 10am so he still was 2 hours late getting to the trailhead by his own admission. He arrived at the campsite around 5:30. When Cole finally arrived he didn't even apologize. A simple "I'm sorry for the delay" would've made the experience a little better but he immediately went into to defense mode. I'm sure we looked pissed when he walked up because he immediately started blaming the natives. This wasn't cool at all. Accept responsibility for your actions and stop blaming ppl for your tardiness. To date no one has apologized. I'm a member of a travel group on social media with over 376k members AND WILL SHARE MY EXPERIENCE WITH ANYONE THAT WILL LISTEN. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!!

We had three stops on the tour for 1) Ice cream, 2) gelato and 3) sorbet. All were excellent. We certainly had our fill of sweet treats, all included in the price of the tour. We then went up towards the Phoenician resort and toured the ritzy neighborhoods to see the beautiful homes - that is definitely an spect of the tour I don't think we'd get anywhere else! There were options to stop for photos, beverages etc. I would note to be prepared for the breeze as you ride on the golf cart and be aware you'll likely be on a couple busy roads with actual cars so ensure your belongings are secure.
