Remember, this place has been on national TV before...extremely consistent, hot and fresh steak fingers that can't be beat! I'm glad I was in the Midland-Odessa area because we made a trip just to Andrews for Buddy's. The $20 basket can be shared. The gravy is great and so are the fries and slaw. This drive-in/drive-up was delicious. If we make it back that way, we will enjoy Buddy's again! For now, I'll remember it in my dreams ...hahaha!

It had a sunny-side-up egg, pork chop, tortilla chips, and green salsa, and it was seriously so good! Sadly, they don't have it anymore, so this time I tried the omelette instead. It was really good and filling! My sister said we had to try the pancakes, so we shared an order, and they were absolutely delicious! Everything was great, from the food to the ambience. The hostess and everyone else were super nice and friendly, answered all of our questions, and kept our drinks coming. Definitely always a great place to come for breakfast or brunch!

OVERALL The Outlaw Grill in Hobbs, NM, is a place I have…read moreheard many good things about, but never tried. This is a great place to meet up with a friend for lunch. RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4.5 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 3 PARKING Parking is free and ample. LOCATION/AMBIANCE This small restaurant is located in the same building as Kountry Korral. Just like the name says, it has outlaw memorabilia scattered throughout. The seating arrangements are mainly for small groups or couples. THE GRUB They have a pretty nice selection of items on their menu. I was anticipating a large protein-filled dinner later in the evening, so I opted for the New Mexican salad ($16.29). I highly recommend this salad with jalapeño Ranch dressing... it was fresh and loaded with so many wonderful colors and flavors: fresh greens, tomato, onion, shredded cheese, croutons, tortilla chips, pico de gallo, and guacomole. My kiddos begged me to bring them spaghetti for our Friday lunch date at school. You can order this kid's menu item with meat sauce, plain sauce, or with meatballs. My daughters both loved their meatballs. Each plate came out to $11.97 and did not come with anything else - no bread, side salad, or drink. Kind of steep if you ask me. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB They definitely have a decent kid's menu, however, I didn't get any photos of it. Next time! SERVICE Very friendly over the phone. Quick to assist in person. They had my takeout ready for me when they said they would. MY FAVORITE PART... The New Mexican salad. I'd probably add steak next time. NOT SO FAVORITE PART... Higher-priced entrees. TIP Phone orders are ready for takeout within about 20 minutes.

What happened instead was that I found my new favorite dish! I could easily eat this every night and never get tired of it! It was not only perfectly executed, but it also had the healing power you would expect in chicken noodle soup and the sinus clearing power of a hot pepper or chile! Biggest blessing in the world! It will now be my go-to for all moods, illnesses, and days, good or bad!

I will say that I was pretty impressed with the food and especially the service but there were still some things that kept me from giving it a perfect score. First off, the service was impeccable. When I walked in, I was greeted right away and sat promptly. My customers that I was taking out arrived a bit later because I was early but I was still provided with water and not bothered. An additional customer came so we had to move tables and it was done promptly and professionally. We were helped without it being overwhelming. Great job! The food was good and well-prepared. I ordered the roasted salmon and it was cooked very well with a crispy skin, the asparagus and brussel sprouts were salted well and cooked just right, the only complaint on the taste is that I wish there was a bit more jalapeño sauce and that it was spicier. It had no kick to it at all. My main overall reason for taking a star off is that the prices are definitely too high compared to the offering. Was the salmon dish good? Yes. But was it $39 without tax and tip good? Not really. Overall, I recommend this place to impress a date or to take a customer where conversation can be had easily with a nice atmosphere.
