My boat has now been classified as a bio-hazard by my insurance company. Do not take your boat here. I brought my boat to travel land to have it winterized. It was broken into, burglarized and sustained massive damage to the boat itself during the act. It is now a biohazard after police found a meth pipe and evidence of use in my boat and other paraphernalia while under the care of Travel land. When the service manager called to inform me of the event he immediately told me that they were not responsible and had no intentions of making it right, to contact my insurance if I had it and I'm on my own. The service manager literally told me this analogy in response to my complaint "If your parked car was broken into while shopping at Walmart. Walmart isn't responsible for any damages to your car" Then demanded I pay for the winterizing after my boat has now become a total loss by insurance standards. I was informed by KPD that this is a reoccurring event with Travel Land and they have done nothing to prevent this from happening time and time again and will not press charges on the people that do get caught. They have been able to dodge legal action by stating they are not responsible for any damages or theft and have no liability while under the care of Travel Land in the fine print. It is disguised so you don't know what you are signing, they simply show you a brochure with different service packages, have you circle and sign the package service you want. Little do you know you have just given them diplomatic immunity to any responsibility via fine print on the back of brochure. Now I am out of a boat after making one simple mistake. We should have done more research, and unfortunately, we trusted that a dealership would be fair and honest. Now, for the facts. In June, 2014 we bought a used wakeboard/ski boat from Traveland. The boat had (?) 450+ hours, was never used in salt water, had one previous owner, etc, etc, etc. They provided a one-month warranty (?) and away we went with our first boat. What we have since found out: -boat has had at least 3 owners, including at least one on the west side (Puget Sound) and has spent considerable time in salt water (more on this later) -odometer does not work. boat has/had at least 600 hours on it when we bought it -boat has all kinds of mechanical problems that would be readily apparent to a decent mechanic but are completely hidden from a novice boat buyer (me) We've spent over $4,000 on repairs to this boat, trying to keep it in running condition and so we can honestly sell a functioning boat. We had to have the entire transmission rebuilt due to a seal failure (water in the transmission), which existed long before we bought the boat. The mechanics at Sundown Marine have known this boat for years and were shocked Traveland would sell it without fixing/disclosing the problem. When Sundown pulled the engine to fix the transmission there was evidence of corrosion due to salt water usage. In short, Traveland is a terrible place to do business. I would not trust them with another purchase and I feel sick every time we drive by.

I couldn't imagine how long my boat would be on their lot until they would actually do the work. I will NEVER step foot on their lot again. I will fix my Boat myself. decent companies would keep their customers informed and happy about their purchase this one does give a Damn. I would give them a big Zero if I could.

This review is based on our experience with the owner. The staff does not deserve a one star…read morerating, but the OWNER went out of her way to earn less than one star. We arranged the purchase of a Axis T23 over the phone for 99,900 dollars, before fees and taxes. The purchase was handled this way as we are 4.5 hours away from the business, which they were informed of. On 03/26/2021 we drove 4.5 hours to get to Kennewick and to see the new boat in person. On our arrival we saw the boat as it was being cleaned up. The young shop person was very friendly and helpful. He took us on our demo ride the next day as our sales person was not available. He was a great help and is not reflected in the one star rating. During our first look at the boat, a older women, later identified as the owner, came outside and the first words out of her mouth were, who are you. We were standing outside the shop door so I did not get too concerned when she came within 6 feet of us without a mask on. We did not receive a greeting or a thank you for coming all that way to spend over a 100K at her business. She barked some order at one of the staff and quickly walked away. The next day we went out on the demo ride. Again, this young man was great. This was consistent with all the staff in the store, pleasant, professional, working hard to make the customer happy. That was true for everyone except the owner. The demo ride went great. It was time to close the deal. At the store we went to the business person. We brought up that the sales person had told us that we could receive some gear as part of the deal. This was in lieu of an additional price reductions. Boards, ropes, fenders, etc was related to us as being on the table. She knew nothing about it. She brought in another person, who was trying to be helpful, who said they only discount gear. He said he would try to call the other sales person. He came back and said he could not get a hold of him but would through in a wake surf board in an effort to make us happy. At that time we were ready to cancel the deal and head to Montana where a similar boat was available. The board supplied was a nice Hyperlite. Once we took a closer look at the package, after arriving home, we saw that the wrapping had a small cut in it and all the fins were missing. I hope they did not know they were missing, but who knows. At this time were told we could buy any other gear or supplies with a 25 percent discount. We went out to pick our board with the salesperson. Once this was done the owner walked up. Totally ignored us and began questioning, in front of other customers, the staff member about the board. She began arguing about the board being thrown in. She said it should only be discounted, then only at cost. The staff members had saved a 100k deal by following through on was our absent salesperson had promised. The owner acted in front of us like we were stealing something. The boat did not come with bumpers on the trailer guides or a safety strap. We were told Malibu and Axis did not put safety straps on the boat. We looked at the first Malibu for sale on the lot and it had a safety strap. We bought the trailer bumpers. The 25 percent discount quickly changed to a 20 percent discount. The owner reappeared as we were making the purchase. She again ignored us and ask the counter person who he was helping. Another customer had walked up to buy a couple items. She had the counter person stop helping us and help the other customers. As he was helping them, the owner began arguing with the counter person about the amount of discount he was giving us. She said it should be only 10 percent, not the 20 percent. This went on in front of the other customers. The owner was arguing over $5.00 dollars after we just spent over 100K at her business. Our entire experience with the OWNER ofTraveland RV and Marine was nothing but a negative and insulting experience. She ignored us, was rude to us, treated us like we were a problem and trying to steal from her. Not once did she treat us with any courtesy or respect. Not once did she say the words, "thank you" to us. At least three times she came within 6 feet of us, inside the store, without a mask covering. I don't know if it was because we were from out of town, or because she was upset that one of her staff was working to save the deal and fulfill what her salesperson had promised, or we received a $5.00 discount. What ever the reason, she, the OWNER, went out of her way to treat a 100k customer with contempt and disrespect. I think her staff does a good job and are generally professional. It appears from our experience that they cover her unprofessional, egotistical and disrespectful behavior. If I could do it over again, I would of gone straight to Montana to make our 100K purchase.

I stopped by on a Saturday, hoping to look at some used boats…read morebecause we are in the market to buy one and we walked around for about 30 minutes, looking at boats none of which had any type of marks or tagging to show us which ones were even for sale or not or how much they were, but they were all sitting outside getting dirty and yucky, and didn't look like they had been cleaned or cared for at all. Not one person even came out to ask us what we were looking for or even try and help us at all. I honestly don't know how this company stays in business or how they sell any boats at all because we were honestly in the market to buy one and yet going to this dealership you can't find anyone to help you and can't even figure out which boats are for sale and which ones aren't. I have no idea how a business does business this way.

They were very honest with us about what we needed and didn't need. Explained the break in procedures, answered all our questions honestly, and made the buying experience so pleasant. Test drives, Paperwork and really the whole Transaction was just so quick and painless. Their shop is incredible, and we were pleased to see all the different manufacturers and toys that they have in stock and support. We do lots off different on and off road power sports as well as boating activities, so we'll definitely be back to see them next time we're shopping for anything new or used!
