Dr. Zhubi met…read morewith us right away, thoroughly explaining the procedure and the potential complications, including the possibility of stones in the bile duct. Unfortunately, I turned out to be the worst-case scenario. Because of the amount of stones and sludge, some had migrated. A few months later, I began experiencing cramping and pain on my right side. I underwent two CT scans--one with contrast and one without--and both suggested possible cancer. I contacted Dr. Zhubi's office and met with him, and he immediately reassured me. With complete confidence, he told me he did not believe it was cancer and encouraged me not to panic. A laparoscopic biopsy confirmed he was right: no cancer. He proved the other doctors wrong. I now have an abdominal hernia, but once again, Dr. Zhubi has been supportive and positive. He has encouraged me in my weight loss efforts, patiently answered all my questions about hernia symptoms, and discussed the possibility of a panniculectomy. He and his staff have been wonderful throughout this entire experience--especially understanding and supportive of my anxiety. I've said many times that I wish this office could train other general medical practices on how to treat and support patients with genuine kindness, communication, and compassion.

Unsure if this is "in play" here, but more and more medical practices are nothing more than shells macerating for some conglomerate. Doctors are employees without any ownership or oversight for the staff. Staff turnover is horrific with least cost apparent. There is a valley urology multi-location practice than worse than this. Dr Murphy saw my MRI, video taped out visit, so I could refer to it later. He explained, and showed me exactly what the problem in my spine was and the available options to fix it. He is a miracle worker. He is kind, calm, takes him time, knows what he is doing and cares about his patients. He did my surgery three weeks later. In a one hour surgery, he took my quality of life from a 2 to a 10. He is very responsive in returning calls, as is his staff. I have had three major knee surgeries within the last four years. My experience with Dr Murphy and his staff was hands down the easiest and, by far, the very best. If I ever have another spinal issue, I will travel to wherever he is operating.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with the Colon and Rectal Center of Arizona, and…read moreunfortunately, it was because of the front desk staff--not the medical care. The front office staff was consistently rude, dismissive, and lacked compassion. They spoke to me as if my questions were stupid instead of taking the time to help. When you call the office, no one ever answers the phone. I've left multiple voicemails and never received a return call, which is incredibly frustrating when you're trying to get answers about your care. My initial appointment was the worst part of my experience. I arrived 50 minutes early to make sure I had plenty of time to complete any paperwork. I was told I had to provide a written list of my medications. Since I didn't have one with me, I offered several reasonable solutions. I asked if I could call my doctor's office and have them fax the medication list, call my doctor's office to get the names over the phone, or even log into my pharmacy app to retrieve my medication names and dosages. Every single option was immediately dismissed without any attempt to work with me. Instead, I was told I had to reschedule my appointment simply because I didn't already have the list in my hand. Considering I was there 50 minutes before my appointment, there was more than enough time to obtain the information. Rather than trying to help, the staff seemed more interested in turning me away. I've never encountered such an unhelpful and unfriendly front office at a medical practice. Patients come to this office because they need medical care and are often in a vulnerable position. The first people they interact with should treat them with kindness, patience, and respect. This office should seriously consider retraining its front desk staff on customer service, communication, and compassion. They are the first impression of the practice, and right now they are leaving a very negative one. If this is the level of service the practice considers acceptable, it reflects poorly on the entire organization, including its leadership and physicians. Patients deserve to be treated with dignity, and this office has a lot of work to do to earn that trust.

Unfortunately, the staff for Dr. Singh - particularly Lisa - ultimately prevented me from even having the opportunity to choose or speak with the doctor I wanted to use. They scheduled an appointment online, which I showed up for, only to discover it had been canceled without any phone call, email, or message. I was then essentially told I could not choose the surgeon I preferred, even though only a limited number of doctors specialize in this type of surgery. I will now also be canceling my follow-up appointment with Dr. Pandy. The staff at both locations has been atrocious, and the overall experience has been extremely frustrating, unprofessional, and disappointing. Because of the way this situation was handled and the "group" policy they enforced, I would not recommend this practice.

I have waited to leave this review to give ample time for Dr. Glenn to respond to my family. Dr…read more Glenn performed a "routine" gallbladder surgery on my 24 year old son. We had issues on day one with him not being sent home with the noted medications and the discharge instructions were missing critical information. We called the office and never received a call back. Several days later we were in the ER with my son for extreme stomach pain and constipation. They sent him home with a home remedy. We reached out to Dr. Glenn asking if this could be surgery related and was told it was simply constipation, nothing to be worried about. Two days later we were back in the ER with my son in such extreme pain that he was almost seizing. I again immediately made contact with Dr. Glenn asking if there was any way this could be related to the surgery and he emphatically denied. He stated he would "watch over my son's chart" for any significant changes but was certain the hospital would treat the issue. Over the next several days I reached out again to Dr Glenn explaining that I was certain this was a bile leak and I was losing my son. I asked him to get involved and get the proper testing done to diagnose the leak. Dr. Glenn continued to deny any responsibility for any possibility and did not order such tests nor talk to the doctors on my son's case at the time. Our family eventually found an independent surgeon who agreed it looked like a leak, ran the tests, found a bile duct leak and had it stented. It was at this time that Dr. Glenn started calling my cellphone almost daily to check on my son, but at this point, he was too late. He stated he had "no idea how this happened". Within 48 hours the surgeon realized that my son was indeed dying and there must be something else wrong and exploratory surgery was needed. We were told to call in our son from Pennsylvania as it wasn't certain he would make it through the surgery. After surgery, the doctor told us our son was FILLED with bile, his organs were paper thin from sitting in this bile for over 10 days, and he had to remove a portion of his intestine as ANOTHER nick was found from Dr. Glenn's surgery. The doctor explained that our son was being placed on life support in order to give him a fighting chance to recover. TEN DAYS went by where Dr. Glenn could have manned up and admitted he may have made a mistake and ordered the tests to find his errors. Instead, our son was in the hospital 26 days and still, 10 months later, has pain, discomfort, difficulty eating certain foods and has not been able to return to his previously athletic, active lifestyle. Our family reached out to Dr. Glenn to let him know that our son, who is a young adult and in charge of his own legal decisions, did not want to seek a lawsuit, however felt Dr. Glenn should cover current and near future medical expenses. Dr. Glenn agreed and connected us with his insurance people. They denied our request for our son's 2022 deductible even though Dr. Glenn agreed that was the least he could do. Our son sent him a letter and Dr. Glenn never responded. He had his not-at-fault insurance send a check to cover the costs we had for the hospital, but Dr. Glenn never had the decency to reach out to our son after receipt of his letter to follow up with him. I really lost respect for Dr. Glenn. I realize all surgeries come with the possibility of mistakes. However, Dr. Glenn made TWO mistakes and him not being willing to admit the possibility of those mistakes almost cost my son his life. That is not OK and not someone who I would want to do a surgery on me or any of my friends or other family members. I need a doctor who is willing to take accountability for even the slightest possibility of making an error in the assistance of taking the best care for their patient.
