Excellent Doctor. Staff was exceptionally professional, kind, and courteous. I was referred to Dr. Booth to have a root canal retreated. From the moment I stepped into the office, my experience was pleasant. Usually the plastic pieces for the X-rays dig and are uncomfortable in my mouth. His assistant was so good I didn't feel a thing, and she placed everything so well I wasn't uncomfortable at any point. Dr. Booth explained to me what he saw, and his treatment plan. He also gave me a topical anesthetic to help with the needle injection to numb me. I didn't feel anything other than the first poke, and I almost didn't feel that. The treatment was also painless and without discomfort. I could tell he is very experienced and exceptionally good at his craft. I'm very thankful I was referred to this office. Dr. Booth is a master at his craft and has a well trained, professional, and courteous staff. You're in great hands when you walk through his door. Thank you Dr. Booth. I had previously seen doctor Jason Booth for a root canal back in 2017. He did a great job of making sure I was comfortable and listened to my concerns. Fast forward 4 years and my tooth is healing nicely. I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed and they took many many X-rays including a panoramic. The Dr at Wildflower Dental noticed some dark marks indicating infection and urged me to go to an endodontics office to get it retreated. Oddly enough at Wildflower she referred me to the same Dr Jason Booth and said they only use someone they trust and they send them to Desert Sun Endodontics. I thought it sounded familiar and I immediately knew when I pulled in the parking lot that I had been here before. Dr Jason booth took his own X-rays and did a compare and contrast from 4 years ago and today results. The dark spot was the four years ago and is much smaller now and shows the white lines like spider webbing indicating that it's healing. I was so relieved to find this out and they did not charge me for the follow up X-rays. I know the previous reviews are not the best and they are from many years ago. I can write this review with confidence as I was shown the progress X-rays of them verse now and it makes sense. I have no pain no sensitivity and my teeth are all still there. Thank you for taking the time to confirm there is no need for another root canal. Honest quick and painless. read more

I'm not sure why there are poor reviews for Dr. Booth and his staff. My experience was the exact opposite and very positive. I don't know of anyone who enjoys going for dental work but I would recommend his office to anyone in need of a great Endodontist. He was very attentive and accommodating in understanding my apprehension about getting my procedure. He walked me through everything he needed to do and it was smooth, quick and painless. I also want to give a shout out the the front office for being kind and professional. I hope I don't need any additional work done anytime soon but if I do I will surely return and have already referred him to others. read more

First, i saw the review below mine before coming to see Dr. booth for the first time. I chose to ignore it because i was in so much pain and i figired "that just happened to one person and probably wont happen to me". Wow was i wrong. Take this as a warning- DO NOT ignore these reviews. They are the only immediate way we can stop doctors from scamming their patients. To start, i am a healthy young woman. I never had any problems with my teeth before other than a few cavity fillings here and there and i have no medical conditions otherwise. One day, i did i filling with my dentist and was left in very excruciating pain for days. He said its because i need a root canal, and so referred me to dr. Booth. Dr. Booth obviously didnt want to talk much. He took an xray and, without hesitation, agreed i need a root canal. Ok. We did the root canal. However, the pain never went away. Days later, i saw dr. Booth again and he said my tooth looks perfectly fine. He told me he doesnt know what to do and doesnt know what the problem is. He started babbling some nonsense saying that i probably have some underlying condition like cystic fibrosis, sinus problems, etc. (Seriously?) which was frightening. He gave me pain meds and antibiotics because i already knew they were the only thing temporarily helping with the pain. I then asked him if i should still get a crown done on monday and he said "if the pain is gone by then, you can do it". A few days later the pain was gone (due to the antibiotics) so I went and got the crown done, as instructed. When i got the crown done (and the root canal redone) the excruciating pain came back, indicating that the root canal was not the solution all along. Frustrated, I called dr. Booth again. He gave me BAD attitude, obviously angry, saying "why did you go get the crown done? I didnt tell you to do that!" Ummm. YES YOU DID!! Long story short, i pulled the tooth behind it and the pain was gone. All this time, dr. Booth scammed me. I didnt need a root canal done on thay tooth. It was the tooth behind it that caused the problem, according to the oral surgeon. 4 months of cry-worthy pain, and $2000 later, i realized he had scammed me. I would get a lawyer on this, however im too mentally drained. There are many enodontists all over arizona. If you call your dentist back they can very easily give you a reference to another endodontist that isnt dr. Booth. THIS IS YOUR WARNING. read more

If I could leave a ' no star' rating, I would. I saw Dr Booth a couple weeks ago after my main dentist suspected an old root canal might need to be redone. My dentist told me there was a shadow in xray that made her think there was a new infection starting and that even though there was no pain I needed to see an endodontist soon. She referred me to Dr. Booth. Dr Booth saw me for less than 5 minutes and told me I might need a root canal or an implant, and wouldn't know which until he got started on the procedure. He quoted me $1300 on the low end, best case scenario. If I had needed an implant it would be almost double. He also charged me $145 for the exam and xray. We scheduled the procedure appt for an upcoming Monday. The Saturday before my brother ripped a crown out and needed a dentist. He told me he was going to Nogales, and invited me. I was wary, but after researching I felt more comfortable and said yes. Well.....I just left the dentist in Nogales, and saw both an endodontist and a periodontal expert while I was there. Both concurred that the shadow in the xray were remnants from the old, initial root canal on the tooth and that there was no need for another root canal. It didn't hurt, didn't bleed and showed no sign of active infection. They told me straight up my dentist had lied and was going to do an unneccesary procedure. My jaw dropped. The realization that Dr Booth MUST have known this and scheduled me for an intensive and expensive procedure anyway is beyond disturbing. Prior to this I would have thought it more likely to be lied to in Mexico.... No longer. Dr Booth cared nothing for my well being or honesty.... only charging me far too much for a procedure I don't need. Add that to the fact that the work my brother had done, surgical removal of one tooth, new crown on another and bridge for the removed tooth only cost him $600..... and nothing else really needs to be said. In the states he would have paid at least $4000. The dentist in Mexico had incredible technology, better than I've seen in any dentist office in the states. Getting there was very easy, it was literally the third building from the border crossing. And above all.....THEY WERE HONEST. Much more than can be said for Dr Booth. In my opinion Dr Booth is a scam artist. Not going to see him and electing to go to Mexico was the best dental decision I've ever made. Today cost me $15 for the xray instead of $1300 for a root canal I didn't need. Truthfully, I'm disgusted by this dental practice and fully intend to report them to the BBB. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time or money visiting this Dr. You will regret it. read more

I highly recommend this place! After weeks of being in excruciating pain and having my dentist cancel on me, when I finally was able to get in to see her she told me oh your tooth in the far back has a huge cavity and needs to come out, then you need to come back to see me for a root canal on a tooth that she had put a crown on. She referred me to some place that was not able to get me in for a few weeks... she also let me go still in awful pain. I was not convinced that my tooth needed to come out I also was not convinced that the tooth she wanted to do a root canal on needed it being she told me that the nerve was dead and that tooth isn't causing me pain. So I got a second opinion from a dentist that was recommended to me by a family member. He was so amazing. He did a few tests on me and found that I did need a root canal on the tooth that had a crown on it because that was the tooth that was the one causing my pain and that no I did not need the other tooth pulled. So he referred me over to Dr. Booth for the root canal. I was very nervous and in so much pain, Dr. Booth made me feel very comfortable and worked very quickly to relieve my pain. I had been in pain for so long that when he numbed me up to do the work I just cried .. cried happy tears of relief. He told me that my tooth under the crown was cracked and that is why it got infected. It makes me wonder if my previous dentist knew and she was the one who cracked my tooth and covered it up knowing that I would end up to that point of infection and have no choice but to go back in for more work and want me to get even more unnecessary work done! Never again will I trust that lady! I thank Dr. Johnson for getting me in to Dr. Booth. Thank you for helping me so quickly and getting me out of pain fast. You all are the best! As much as I can be a fan of a place that gave me a root canal... The front desk personnel are alright, they are informative if you ask the right/enough questions It is located in the dental headquarters complex of northern phoenix (as I refer to it), so there's a pharmacy, maxillofacial surgeons and general dentists all around. The procedure was moderately painless (I had a RC on a molar), and I was numb from my mouth to my eye (and in the beginning, even my eye was numb) for the better part of the day. I didn't even take pain meds because it didn't hurt at all and there was no major swelling happening. The bathrooms are outside, which is a pain, and you need a key to get into them. I would recommend for anyone that is scared of these procedures, because they give you a television to watch whatever you want throughout the process (though I usually bring headphones because I H-A-T-E that damn drill. They are dental baiters. The Phoenix valley dentists have a bad reputation for corruption and Desert Sun only confirms this. I scheduled my appointment, clearly stating my insurance because I am aware that I must. The receptionist checked my insurance card and told me they do not accept it. I took the day off of work, drove through Bell Rd. construction and was in a few near collisions to get there. I stated that I clearly told the original receptionist my insurance and they claimed that I did not but that they would perform the root canal for $175, and also told that all in the office are highly trained in insurance. Then they said that they noticed the insurance discrepancy and left several messages. I said I had no voicemail, no missed calls. They asked if my phone was off. I turn it off overnight but any IDIOT knows that a phone, even when powered off, still records missed calls and voicemail. This dentist may have hired an attractive staff of skillful liars but their collective IQ is 90. I will not be taken advantage of, even by the best, and certainly not by the stoopid. They are, they are highly trained liars. I am in great pain, but am parsimonious so not Clark and did not buy their 'family truckster' (Vacation 1983). Bait and switch dental, really? They should be run out of business! Oh yea, I am too 'mean' for Yelp so they probably won't publish this because they are not a true service. I searched & found a non-chain endodontist, that was still in-network for my insurance. They didn't treat me like i was a number, or try to rush me through the process (root canal of course). A real great team at the 4025 W Bell location. A nice office setup too, which includes watching TV before/during the procedure (and you even have control of the remote!) read more

I had a infected tooth and was looking for a provider that took my discount plan through Cigna. I needed a root canal and decided to go with desert sun endodontics since they specialize in this procedure. The staff was super friendly. My appointment was at 8am and after the X-rays, exam, and the root canal I was out at 915 am. It was painless and didn't even feel the procedure took very long at all. They give you a remote to choose a channel to watch whatever you wanted during the procedure (I watched the animal planet). If you have any concerns, they will answer all your questions. The person who did my root canal was endodontist Jason booth. His assistant was very nice and was concerned about your well being through the whole procedure. I have to say that this is the best dental experience I ever had. I had to get a root canal that I had put off for over a year. Although I did not have any pain, etc., I was still nervous. They advised it would be just like a filling! Yeah...right....easy for them to say!. But to my surprise, it was better and easier than a filling. Dr. Jason Booth explained everthing to me in simple terms and was very easy to talk to and personable. The staff was a dream as well.
