The chicken fried steak breakfast was very tasty, with crisp potatoes seasoned just right, a perfectly cooked egg, and a delicious home made breakfast. I had a chance to meet the owner, Zinzi, and we chatted about our shared connections to Cape Town. The dining room is very nicely decorated and comfortable. I'll have to find a way to make my way back to Moab to try the South African inspired dinner menu (Thursday through Sunday); am sad that I'll miss it this trip.

Our waiter was super friendly and ensured we were taken care of. I got the country fried steak, and my partner got the smoked salmon bagel. Both were great. I had the Cowboy Stew, a rich and hearty stew with corn, onions, peas, green beans, stewed tomatoes, and chunks of beef in a tomato/beef stock base. 100% legit, and a great way to feel like you're ready to hop on horseback in search of Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch's hideout outside of town (not lying about that, maybe the horseback part). My wife and I split the nachos, which were topped with some fantastic brisket and bbq sauce. No nacho cheese sauce used here, just solid melted cheddar, with housemade salsa, sour cream, and jalapeños. Highly recommend. This place looks like it's been here since the 1950s, and has plenty of western local flavor for the tourist looking for a fun respite from the long drive between Moab and Capitol Reef.

The restaurant is located right on the main drag of Moab. It is next to a hotel. The curb appeal is definitely of a family diner. It is very popular. On a Monday morning, it was very crowded. The parking lot isn't that big but there is additional parking on the street. When you enter, there is a room on the right and another on the left. The vibe is southwest. Despite being crowded, we were sat right away an at a table by the window, no less. Our server was a nice young woman; I'm sorry, I didn't get her name. She did an excellent job of taking care of us. My wife had a standard breakfast of eggs, bacon, and hash browns. I had a breakfast bowl, a unique blend of eggs, meat, hash browns, and spinach. Very flavorful and with good texture. We would definitely consider making this a regular stop on our future trips to see our son.

We…read morewere passing through the unfamiliar little town of Green River on our way to Arches National Park, looking for a meal, and decided to give this place a shot. It turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises you find on a road trip. Fast forward five years. I'm pulling into Green River again, this time on a trip with my dad and brother, when I spotted La Pasadita and immediately recognized it. I had completely forgotten about this hidden gem in this sleepy little town, but the second I saw it, I knew where we were eating. I'm happy to say the food was every bit as good--if not better--than I remembered. My dad and brother both went with burritos, and I had the chicken enchiladas. Everything was fantastic. And don't skip the Jamaica ! Absolutely delicious. One word of advice: don't let appearances throw you off. A food truck sitting in the parking lot of what looks like an old Shell gas station might make you second-guess your choice. Don't. Pull in, order some food, and enjoy it. Places like this are exactly why you shouldn't judge a restaurant by the building. Five stars without hesitation. If Yelp let me give La Pasadita more, I would. And apparently, if I find myself back in Green River another five years from now, I already know where I'm eating.
