I love the whole vibe of this restaurant. Everyone so friendly. The service was quick and great. The food was hot and delicious. If you are in the area you need to stop by .

A T-bone steak with fire roasted corn and mashed potatoes was my order. Overall excellent food. Hardy and homemade accompanied by friendly customer service provided by a super hot waitress, I forgot her name, but it started with an A, lol, great location by the river and friendly small town vibe!

Great spot to stop by to eat on a roadtrip ! My French dip was shockingly tender. I would recommend getting their desserts too

The Tamarisk Restaurant overlooks the Green River and, inside, is a very large lighted sign hanging from a wall that says RURAL & PROUD. There is, indeed, a sense of pride in this restaurant that has a long and varied menu. There are little design touches that make this an inviting place. It seems to be a beacon because the parking lot is often filled with the cars and big trucks of locals who are probably regulars. Portions here are large. My tasty gringo version of huevos rancheros for breakfast could have served two or three people. As I sat in the predawn looking out the floor to ceiling windows at the river while sipping my black coffee, this was the best seat in town. There are few restaurant choices but Tamarisk seems to do a good job of serving the community and the many travelers who stop in Green River on their way to more iconic places east and west of Interstate 70.

We really enjoyed our lunch at the Tamarisk restaurant yesterday. It has a great view of the green river and a friendly atmosphere. We were greeted warmly and seated and then our server Anna introduced herself and we asked her about any favorite menu items of her. She suggested that we try one of the fry bread tacos. How often are you going to have authentic Navajo fry bread topped with delicious taco toppings. There is a beef option in a chicken option. We got the chicken open face taco with guacamole, cheese, black beans, and roasted corn. It was incredible and definitely the right choice. You're not gonna find this anywhere else probably. It was plenty for us to share the single dish and we actually had a bit of leftovers to take home. Highly recommend stopping here. It's very scenic and the food is terrific as well as the service.

Welcome to a true oasis in Utah! You go here for comfort food and end up happy - definitely the best food and service option in Green River and for at least an hour's drive either direction. Dinner was even better than breakfast at the Tamarisk Restaurant! We especially enjoyed the "chicken fried" steak and chicken with fresh veggie options on the side. They make cocktails (super sweet!) and offer a nice little selection of wines. For breakfast I got an omelette that was overcooked with a very dense biscuit. Really wish I'd gone with the pancakes and sausage I saw other people happily devouring. The regular coffee here is great - and they have all the latte options as well. Beautiful view of the Green River from this charming restaurant - cozy, positive vibes inside. Note: We stayed overnight in one of the rooms downstairs and LOVED it - and your breakfast is included with the room price.

Beautiful location with a view! Food was delicious we had the chicken salad, country fried steak, soup of the day and the peanut butter mocha! I recommend all the dishes! Staff was attentive and friendly! Definitely sit by the window if you can to see the River.

Seated quickly and listened to the waitress chat it up for 8 mins as we patiently waited to be served. Had to get up and ask if there was a waitress. She(Barb) finally stated what can I get for you. Put our orders in and Barb went to another table and started chatting with another couple. She just continued to yap and yap about personal stuff. Finally got our Navajo bread. Very tasty. Chicken fajitas had plenty of veggies but bland. Beans and rice needed salt. Wife enjoyed the chicken fried steak.

Word to the wise: come here during sunset! Overlooking Green River, Tamarisk Restaurant offers serene views and a diverse menu with options for every palette, from salads and sandwiches to steaks and Mexican dishes. The hostess greeted us warmly and we were immediately seated in a half-booth table with awesome river views. My friend ordered the T Bone Special, and was a bit disappointed. For one, it was nowhere close to medium rare and appeared very well done. I got the chicken enchiladas and was satisfied with my dish. The red sauce was classic red enchilada sauce, but I was hoping for a bit more flavor and ended up slathering it in hot sauce. Our service was simple yet effective and we loved the carafe of Dr. Pepper left at our table!

There is not much in green river so this was one of 2 choices. The place is right across the green river so the location is great. The windows overlook the river. The service was just ok. They helped us right away but then went down hill from there. I ordered the Navajo toco burger and the wife ordered the grilled ham and cheese. They were just ok. The fry bread on mine was very tough like it had been frozen then refried. The ham and cheese was more a ham sandwich with a slice of cheese. Nothing special but filled us up. It is good place if you are on 75 and just need food.

I've never had chopped tomatoes in my Caesar salad before. Not a fan. The south western taco salad was good. Lots of toppings with great flavor. Turkey, bacon avocado sandwich was odd. The bread had grill marks in both sides and was not warm at all. Bacon was think and over cooked. No mayo. Dry. Wedges were hot, but needed another minute to cook. Trudy our server was excellent. The restaurant itself needs a bit of a clean.

We stopped in here based on online recommendations and so very happy we did! The food was excellent. Definitely make a stop here if you're ever in the area.

The Eggs Benedict are really so delicious. They use a non-traditional hollandaise sauce which, amazingly amped up the flavor of the eggs! And the eggs were perfectly made so that the whites were thoroughly cooked and the yolk was runny. Odd, but this is a difficult thing to get in a restaurant. The meal was served with delicious home fries where the potatoes were moist and flavored. We also ordered a side of their thick bacon, which had a bit of a different flavor - very nice. The bacon was perfectly cooked. We took a chance on the egg scramble, which had lots of promise with the many ingredients listed, but the eggs were overcooked and dry, so the other ingredients couldn't compensate. They served the eggs with a very nice bread for their toast. We almost didn't come here as we only saw the side of the building, which was a very small house looking structure.
