Tom was great! We are beyond happy with how our yard turned out! Extremely transparent as a professional in landscaping and gave us tons of ideas on what would look best. Tom was aware of our deadline to finish the job and actually finished a week early! Thanks Tom! I'm always skeptical of any contractor I hire, but Tom made sure everything he promised was followed through. Him and his guys were complete professionals. If you're looking for someone to complete a landscaping project, look no further and hire Tom! You won't regret it! Matt Endicott read more

Tom and his guys did a patio extension for me with pavers... there was a slight delay getting the pavers from the supplier (my fault for picking this particular design ) but once they were in they looked beautiful!!! I'm very happy with how things turned out! Very professional team! read more

Absolutely love the privacy screen we just picked up. It hides the pool pump and looks great. It is exactly what we asked for in the size and dimensions. Quick turn around great customer service with Tom. Highly recommend. read more

Hired Tom to do some patio work on our yard. We had guests coming for the super bowl so by the time we committed we have him a REALLY TIGHT window to get it done. Not only was it done, but the work was fantastic, quick and reasonably priced. He helped us pick the tile that fit our house and style. Just an awesome experience and will definitely use again. read more

Had a couple of sprinkler leaks that Tom came out and replaced the tubing and more. He is working on a quote to redo the system and yard.

Can't really comment on the product quality of installation as I never got that far. Got their name from Craigslist, exchangeda few emails about style and size and have heard nothing for 2 weeks. Wasted a month on them basically. read more

I had a really fantastic experience with Tom! We had already started to modernize our plain brick home in Scottsdale by painting the brick to be grey, getting rid of the grass and putting in some concrete pavers.... I just was so torn on what to do with the rest. I had spoken to several other landscapers who either would never get back to me or quote me way out of my budget. From the beginning, Tom asked what my budget was, and stuck to it, offering me a bunch of different options on types of plant and rock to help with cost. I am SO happy with everything that he did - he does welding and built us a custom 5' x 20' privacy wall out front! And custom steel planter boxes. I've gotten so many compliments already. I'm planning to have him do my backyard next spring hopefully as well. Oh not to mention the whole project was completed n 3-4 days. Seriously impressed with everything. read more

Desert Showcase Landscaping - Before and after! So happy with it! - Landscaping Near Me

Tom did an amazing job on a project for us last year. We wanted to revamp our outdoor fire pit and the stone path that led to it. We also wanted to add a separate stone/brick path elsewhere in our backyard. Tom designed a really beautiful setup for both and was very communicative and attentive. The best part of everything was the quality of the work. Months later, the brick paths & firepit look beautiful and have really accented our backyard nicely. There are a lot of providers out there who deliver mediocre results/quality, so I think Tom stands out head and shoulders above the vast majority. Would definitely hire him again. Thank you! read more

No, no, and no. The owner is a joke. A plan was drafted up where 20 potted shrubs/plants were to be planted around my property. This guy augers out the holes, drops the plants in, and covers them with the same desert soil he dug out; no soil amendment whatsoever. He buys his plants from Home Depot, as evidenced by the plastic pots he threw in MY recycling container and left dirt across my driveway and sidewalks. No reputable landscaper would do such shoddy work but it is the norm for this guy. Lots of competition out there...choose wisely. read more

I don't know where to start. Tom is very knowledgeable, timely and has gone above and beyond for me. (Back story before Tom) I have been working on re landscaping my backyard, I worked with a contractor that never would tell me what this redo would cost. Just kept saying, " this is a big project". Finally got a price and we continued with planning and buying of materials. Days before the project was to start. A 9K bid went up to 24K, this was impossible for me to do. My heart was broken as my daughter is using my back yard for her wedding. IN WALKS TOM FROM DESERT SHOWCASE LANDSCAPING!!! I was desperate and contacted a friend that has used TOM a few years back. I called TOM and he came over the next day. I told him, I have all the materials purchased but a severely limited budget. Has has worked so hard, to the tune of taking a $200 home depot credit and offering to pick up my second load of stone to save me delivery ($150). He has educated me on my plants and trees and even some other landscaping stones that I have in my yard. (one is a hard to find stone in AZ and the other is a rock used by the Indians. :) Tom has gone above and beyond to prepare my yard for this special occasion and enjoyment for years to come. He recommended adding lights to a tall tree to shine in my yard, and it wasn't an upsell, just a great idea and he gave me a great deal! He will be doing my electrical for a spa come spring and hopefully at the end of next year, redo my front yard. He and his team just started this week ,they are timely, considerate, hard working and very considerate of my animals and other property in my yard. I will post pictures, before and after. Looks like we are going to have a beautiful setting for a wedding. read more

Every day we walk out onto our patio and say, "Wow, this is beautiful! We love it!" Reading the advertising for this weekend's Maricopa County Home and Garden Show reminded me this review is long overdue! We hired Tom to redo our backyard 2 years ago and are very thankful we picked him! He is an honest person and very capable in all aspects of designing and building a beautiful outdoor space--from the travertine pavers, to the lighting, to the type of plants and hard spaces. Tom made a fire pit and a barbecue that look beautiful and still fit our budget. The men working with Tom are hard workers , honest guys and we enjoyed getting to know them too! Trusting the people you hire is a large part of any home project. You can trust Tom and his workers! Thanks Tom and guys for hours of enjoyment in our "little piece of heaven"!!!!!!! I originally wrote a 5-star review for this business, but soon took it down. In the beginning, I immediately liked Tom from Desert Showcase because he was eager to start the job, came with great qualifications, gave a great picture of his thoughts and was very knowledgeable. We decided to use his services. Unfortunately, we paid him in full back in late February/early March and the services were incomplete until early June after emails asking him to complete the job. I had been contacting him about this over the months to which he has always responded either with a phone call or a personal visit. He told me at the end of March that he was waiting on back ordered supplies and it would be a few days until he finished our project. Out of pure frustration, I emailed him one last time to tell he we would either like the landscaping to be finished or our money refunded by the end of that week. We have not heard from Tom. It took contacting his references and partner to get a response from him. The job is now complete and looks great. I wish the job would not have taken 4 months to complete. ** This company is doing the same thing to my neighbors, so this is not a one-off situation. Sad. I will continue to update. read more

Tom was recommended by a friend of ours for our new home's landscape. The work turned out nice, but getting there was difficult. It has been almost 9 months and we are still waiting for him, or someone from his crew, to come and correct a problem we have with our flagstone walkway. Tom and his crew applied a sealer on our travertine patio, and due to overspray, was tracked onto the flagstone walkway. We have discolored flagstone and footprints on some of the larger pieces. The size of the stones requires more than myself or my husband from flipping them over. My husband has contacted Tom more than once to come and fix the walkway along with another additional repair. Tom says he will be over and doesn't show. read more

If u are not interested in doing business, u should state so. People do not reach out to people, if they do not need help. It is always good when people have integrity and do what they say they are going to do. I would not recommend someone who is so disinterested and does not call back. read more

Tom was one of 5 companies that I had come out and to give us a bid/proposal for converting a dirt/rock yard into a grassy yard with 2 patios last spring. He definitely left the best 1st impression during his visit. Tom spent much more time than anyone checking out my yard and gave me a lot of advice on smaller DIY projects as well as other things to consider that didn't involve landscaping. His prices were in line with everyone else while using higher quality parts. He presented us with a large variety of options without any pressure. In the end, the yard turned out much better than we expected. He even came out twice after the installation just to check on and adjust the irrigation system. I definitely recommend Tom and Desert Showcase Landscaping. read more

Tom did a really nice job helping our vision come to life in our backyard at an affordable price. He had a very courteous crew that worked hard, and our job was completed on time. He also has a unique attention to detail that many contractors have not shown and was at our project each day to make sure the work was done properly. We have more phases of our yard project and will continue to work with Tom for those, too. read more

When searching for a reputable landscape contractor for our large project, several "must have" criteria were to be meet before signing a major contract. I'm pleased to report, Desert Showcase Landscaping met all requirements! First - must be Owner Operated with personal full-time daily supervision of construction - no hand offs to others. Secondly - licensed, bonded and insured Third - Certified installer of the Belgrade pavers and blocks products which was a huge content of the project. Fourth - Our project was a large backyard landscape effort requiring removal of old and removal of a lot of dirt to obtain the grade needed to ensure the water runoff would work with the new hard-scape. Tom's crew did outstanding. Fifth - Price had to be competitive. Lowest price is hardly ever indicative of a good project results. You get what you pay for. Desert Showcase was middle priced compared to competition. DSL's price stayed firm throughout the project which is very important. DSL did not nickle-dime the cost for changed. A give -n -take relationship makes for a good project for changes are going to happen. DSL (Tom) was very thorough in design, focused on the little details and huge on quality. The project involved hardscaping, large three stone water feature, large paver block areas, Celtic block walls and planters, plants and trees, irrigation system, digit lighting, timers, and electrical. What an amazing transformation and a hugely successful result. Tom has featured our project in his website and now that the plants and shrubbery have matured, the yard is gorgeous. Thank you Desert Showcase Landscaping for making our home a beautiful site to enjoy! We would recommend DSL highly and volunteer to have any perspective client visit us for first hand views of DSL's work and to discuss your project ideas. Dennis read more

We chose Desert Showcase to be our landscaping company 6 years ago because Tom is a graduate of the Desert Landscaping School at Desert Botanical Garden and he showed up in a truck you can tell gets used and looking like a guy who gets dirty doing the work. He was willing to help us recreate the landscaping at the house we had just bought in phases as our budget allows. Tom and his crew have built walls, sculpted the ground & laid pavers in the front, removed old gravel, laid new gravel, planted trees & cactus, trimmed trees, put in irrigation & sprinklers, and more. We have more to do and know we can count on Desert Showcase to be the landscaper to do it for us. read more

I am theFacility Manager for our church. Our property is on a hill and had some drainage problems. I contacted Tom from a reference from a neighbor. He corrected the flooding problem we were having with the neighbors at a cost far below other estimates. He is knowledgeable in grading and drainage issues. We have also used his service for major tree trimming and he has saved some of our trees we had some concern with. The last project was replacing gravel in our parking lot islands and frontage. His bid was competitive and the service and clean up completion was beyond my expectations. We will use his expertise and service in the future. Quality work, responsive service and reasonable price. read more
