He is very focused on customer satisfaction. Details: We hired Ultrascapes to build a grill island to house 2 high-end appliances. We solicited ~4 proposals from various contractors. Ultrascapes' lump-sum fee proposal was in the middle range of all proposals received; which was good for us as we don't like to select low-bid nor do we want to pay a stupid premium for the same work. We ultimately selected Ultrascapes because we felt that the owner, Ryan, seemed to grasp our vision better, was helpful in determining design & materials, and was willing to work with our budget to make our project happen. Ryan is professional, responsive, involved, and stays committed to the outcomes of the project. He maintains high standards on the quality of the finished product as if he was completing it for his own property. In terms of schedule, Ultrascapes began work a week after authorization and providing our deposit to get materials procured. They stayed onsite almost every day through completion. There were some issues during construction from decisions made by his crew, but Ryan quickly corrected those issues and kept the project schedule. Ryan would visit the site almost every day to supervise the progress and quality. Another valuable point: He didn't attempt to nickel & dime us with various small change-orders that may not have been detailed in the original scope of work; he stuck with the original vision, outcome, and lump-sum fee proposal.

I hired Outside Living Concepts to complete my landscaping project in May 2023. Unfortunately, the…read moredrip irrigation system they installed has become a major issue. Just this summer alone, I've had to repair and replace nine separate sections of the drip line due to leaks. At this point, I've replaced roughly 50% of the entire system myself. What concerns me most is that every leak has occurred in the same type of tubing, which is visibly worn and deteriorated. I even cleaned sections of the removed tubing to make sure dirt wasn't making it look worse--the material is simply degraded. For comparison, I installed another drip irrigation system line in 2021 using different materials. Despite being about two years older than the system installed by Outside Living Concepts, it has experienced only a single leak. I understand the project is now outside of its warranty period, but I don't believe a drip irrigation system should experience this level of failure after only a few years. The amount of time, labor, and money I've had to invest to continually dig up and replace the system has been extremely frustrating. What has been equally disappointing is the follow-through. After discussing the issue, the project manager told me they would send a crew out to repair the next leak. Just two days later, another leak occurred. I immediately reached out, but now two weeks have passed without anyone coming out or any meaningful follow-up. I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision. I had hoped for better quality and, when problems arose, better customer support. Based on my experience, I can't recommend Outside Living Concepts.

Eli visited again to do a walk through before we signed off on the plans and payment terms. I greatly appreciated his attention to detail and in person management of ensuring we were all on the same page. He estimated the work would begin in two days and the crew promptly arrived as expected. Despite me asking for an additional piece of work, they finished on time and we're very pleased with the quality of the work. They were incredibly respectful with regular updates, requesting if it was ok to leave certain equipment overnight and keeping a clean job site. We've had other work done where we end up cleaning up after the crew but that was not our experience here.
