All I can say is WOW! I got a message late last night that there was a giant gusher next to our wall from an irrigation system managed by our soon- to- be previous landscaping company that we often can't get hold of. We just finished a large interior remodel and we are 1800 miles away. After a couple of hours reviewing dozens of reviews, it was obvious this is the one to call. Called them at 7:05 am on a Friday, they were there in 3 hours, called me from the scene and I just knew it was all going to be OK. The price was super reasonable. I just got confirmation from my friend that it's perfect. read more

Sent a team member the next day to change all the valves to our drip system! Did a great job and for much less than anticipated!

They problem solved a drip system leak I had and they did it so fast! Very professional employees

Great service and professional staff. Efficient and knowledgeable about the issues. Appointment was next day and fixed the following day

Schedule them to finish a job left undone by another contractor. Extremely professional and very timely.

I recently used Controlled Rain for a complete replacement of my irrigation and sprinkler system. I cannot say enough good things about this company. From estimate to scheduling to work performed, they were a pleasure to work with. Even after the install, they were quick to respond and correct any minor concerns. Thanks go out to Carol and Robert for being so friendly, patient and easy to work with! read more

We recently hired Controlled Rain to replace our home landscape irrigation and lighting systems, which had deteriorated with many years of use, and are happy to provide this review of their work. Josh responded quickly, assessing our systems, going over alternatives and taking note of our preferences. He responded within days with detailed cost estimates and proposals to do the work. We agreed and the work was scheduled. Josh and his crew completed the work in a half day, and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. Everyone involved, including the office staff, was highly professional, responsive to us, and a pleasure to work with. The cost of the work was fair and I'm happy to recommend Controlled Rain to anyone looking for a top notch irrigation and landscape contractor. read more

Honest. Reliable. Fairly priced. Really nice people. A 5 star company without a doubt. Highly recommended.

Originally I gave this company one star. I was not happy with the fact that they do not "replace" dripper lines, they just run new ones and leave the old one wherever they are. I have not been the easiest person to deal with and they have continued to come back and fix other issues that keep popping up. Their customer service has been outstanding. I do plan on having them come back to do another project. read more

Excellent, highly recommend. Carol and Josh were both great to work with. read more

We have two properties - our primary residence and a rental property. Controlled Rain delivered exceptional service twice in the span of two days for both of our properties. Over time - plastic parts in irrigation system valves break down. You notice that one of your zones is no longer receiving water. Well - this happened in 117 degree heat in Phoenix this week! I called around to other sprinkler repair companies that we've used before (which I also recommend) and they were booked into next week. Controlled Rain was also busy - but they told me they would do everything they could to get to us this week. Turns out - they delivered next day service! They fixed issues at my primary residence and my rental property faster than other companies could get to me, and their price was more than reasonable. I paid just over $100 at each property to get the systems working good-as-new, and that is often just the base-fee with other companies I've used. The Verdict: Excellent Service, Totally Fair Price. I can't recommend these guys highly enough. Controlled Rain is my go-to irrigation repair company. read more

I had to call, Controlled Rain out for the third time on a different problem in my irrigation system. Since they had done such a great job previously. Robert came out, was very polite and professional, explaining what they would need to do as I was a bit leery about them pulling up pavers in my front yard. They came out today January 29 and did the job they said they would do. I no longer have a leak and the pavers went back in just as nicely as they were to begin with. I so much appreciated the guys that came out and thank you again to Robert. I would recommend.Controlled Rain to everyone! read more

All the way from the nice lady that called me back promptly and the repairman that showed-up so quickly (the day I made the appointment!)....and with a mask....were wonderful. I am terrible with names. He replaced the board to the sprinkler within 20 minutes and the unit is working as good as new. It was $150 for everything. I will need new irrigation lines put in (will do when cooler) and I will be hiring this company to do it. read more

I own North Star Outdoor Lighting, and when I moved here twelve years ago I wanted to have a irrigation company to fix any of my irrigation issues at my customers homes. I first used who ever I could find, that did not work out for me. Then I was refereed to Controlled Rain. They are an amazing company they will always do there job, be on time, and have good pricing. So for over the last twelve years that I have used them, so have my customers. All my customers are so happy, and that makes me happy. I recently had Controlled Rain install an irrigation system at my home. Now I see why my customers are so happy. As always they showed up on time, installed the system, and made my yard look as they where not even there. Thank you Ken, and Josh. read more

I want to give a shout out to technician, Josh Newill. He was at our house on Monday and was polite, knowledgeable, and professional. We recommend Controlled Rain for all your landscaping needs! read more

I was referred to Controlled Rain by a colleague. I had a leak right off and I thought under my patio, which my patio area used to be part of my lawn. I had dug down a little bit and thought the water lines must have not been capped or it sprung a leak. You can imagine my horror to think the water line for the drip would have to be rerouted AROUND the patio. Josh came out to assess the situation and gave me a quote. $85 for a service call fee. YIKES! Well, I figured I better bite the bullet so as not to waste more water. They came a few day later to do the repair. GOOD NEWS! The drip line for the trees and bushes had a line right new to the patio. They merely had to find it and cap it! (Makes me wish I had dug a little deeper!!) Oh, well. That was good news, that is for sure. I would definitely recommend and/or use Controlled Rain again. A very professional and I found trustworthy company. read more

I had an issue with my drip system and contacted Controlled Rain, which I have used several times over the last 10 years (installation of a new drip system, landscape lighting, etc.). Josh was scheduled to come to my home this afternoon (11/2/2020) and he arrived exactly as promised. I explained the issue to him and he immediately diagnosed the problem as a malfunctioning Timer (circuit board). Josh patiently explained exactly what was causing the system's problem and fully answered all of the many questions I asked him. He installed a new Timer, ran some operational tests and reprogrammed the unit. My drip system is now working perfectly. Controlled Rain is an exceptional company, professional in every respect and a pleasure to do business with. The many 5 star reviews are absolutely well deserved and Josh's years of experience, expertise and knowledge are obvious in the high quality of his workmanship. I highly recommend Controlled Rain! read more

Josh is fantastic! They were booked and he still stopped by when he had a few extra minutes. He had me troubleshoot a few things and was emailing me nights and over the weekend. He fit me in between appointments and fixed the issue right away. He definitely went above and beyond the call of duty and was fabulous to work with. Price was actually significantly less than I had anticipated, so even better. I never write reviews but always rely on them. The reviews are on target! read more

I have been working with Controlled Rain for years trying to keep my 25 year old irrigation system working. On my last repair call Ken finally told me, that while he appreciated the business, my system was really not worth patching. He gave me an estimate to replace the system and we set a date. The work was expertly performed and the yard was left cleaner than when they arrived. The price was fair. While none of us really wants to spend money on this type of repair-I can HIGHLY recommend Controlled Rain! read more

Called Controlled Rain because of a large wet spot in the front yard. The technician arrived on time (actually - he called and came a little early which was fine with us). He carefully reviewed our situation, both in front and in back. His conclusion? There was no leak and everything is fine The wet spot is dew plus normal soil moisture, plus the fact that this area is in shade almost all of the time. To sum up, no work needed to be done, but we got a lot of piece of mind from the thorough review. All this for no charge since this was a free evaluation. So, why this review? Because it is great to have honest service providers who will tell you if you just don't need anything to be done. read more

Called Controlled Rain on November 4th based on reviews from my neighbors. Asked them to fix some leaks and issues having with our irrigation system. Justin came out. Reviewed everything with me. I did not want to forget based on his amazing service and honesty. Use these guys. Great service. read more

We have used Controlled Rain for a couple of different irrigation problems. Most recently we had an irrigation line that was leaking underneath pavers that ran beside the driveway, the Controlled Rain tech removed the pavers, repaired the line, repacked the paver base and reinstalled the pavers - all of this at a very reasonable price. That same visit the tech inspected the rest of the irrigation system and replaced sprinkler heads and adjusted the settings as needed. The techs have always been helpful in explaining ways to perform replacements and repairs on my own in order to save on service fees and costs. Highly recommended. read more

Called at 7:15am, received a call back at 7:55am. 5 Minutes before they are scheduled to open. Sent out Josh the same day to take a look at a leaking valve in the back yard. Was very honest, and said to do a couple of things and will return to fix on Wednesday. Not an issue since the water was able to be turned off. Was going to replace the pipes connecting the valves (3 valves). Estimate was $110, with $10 off for the Angie's list coupon. When Josh returned on Wednesday (at 9am, the scheduled time) and went to go to work. 5 minutes later Josh tells me the valves were simply loose. Was really cool and just said how would anyone know when its under water. After talking about if we should move forward with pipe replacement, based on his suggestion it wasn't really needed. After he tighten all the valves, and checked for leaks, said he was going to do an evaluation of the whole yard. He checked all heads, coverage and anything pertaining to the sprinklers. Not only did he do all that, he set the timer, and made a couple of adjustments. After all this (about 30 minutes worth of work), wrote a check for $45. Only charged me to re-wire the valves and the the yard evaluation. Would use these guys again and again. Great service, and extreme honest and fair. read more

I was very pleased with the service Josh provided. He was extremely helpful and honest. I was thinking about rebuilding the valves myself but didn't know where to get the parts. He suggested a place and said if that didn't fix it to call him back. Well I was able to rebuild the valves myself and the problem was resolved, so I saved some money by not having to replace both valves. He also fixed a leak in the PVC and replaced a sprinkler head. I will definitely call Controlled Rain again for any future issues with our irrigation. read more
